Plenty of people had that inspiration. Music evolves from other music. He definitely wasnt an inventor of rock and roll. It was a variety of things, no single person. R&B singers. Boogie woogie pianists, blues guitarists, ragtime pianists and orchestras, etc all led to the creation of rock and roll and doo wop in the 1950s. And it was not one sole color of person either. It was everybody. That's what is beautiful about music

My Dad passed away in 1991 at 82 years young. I'm 71 now already. And I still remember him raving to me many times reminiscing about how much he loved dancing to Duke Ellington, the Dorsey Brothers, Count Basie, and especially Cab Calloway at the original Palais Royale in Toronto, Canada in the 1930s before he got married.. Great stuff.

This is one extremely good transfer from film to video to digital quality music clip now a music video, an excellent and historical foundation into to the swing music that became popular during WWII, and eventually gave US Rock and Roll. More important is the fact modern music was created by Black Americans and this 1935 music clip is the best example of a history fact.

I think it's universally accepted the influence we have had on the music industry. It didn't end at rock and roll either. Rap has gone on to inspire the last 40+ years of the music industry.
You can look to every genre of music and almost every time you will see a black person at the highest peak. Whether it was Cab Calloway or Louis Armstrong, Miles Davis, Prince, Rick James, Michael Jackson, Sammy Davis Jr, 2Pac, Hendrix. They are all pioneers who would leave their mark on music forever and are all considered the best in their respected genres.

I mean, if you go on RUclips and look at Lindy Hop competitions,
All you'll see are white people.
      And I'm talking about internationally.
      France, sweden, finland, the uk,

5:56 - I recently bought myself a suit like that; an original 1930s, complete with Rolled brim jazz fedora hat. Sometimes I'll go out to a nice part of London, wearing it. Yes, people steer as if I'm odd, but I really don't care. I love the fashion of that era. I might go to Ronnie Scott's in it.
