This is my favorite so far. Zoe Saldana is amazing. She was so good in Star Trek and in Avatar and I even cosplayed as Gamora for Halloween one year. She’s phenomenal. But she’s funny and down to earth and kind. She has that soft fierceness that really shines through in this interview. The very thing that makes her one of my top actresses. ❤

The best part about this show is how humanizing it is for the guests. She came across as such a pleasant and down to earth person. Lovely interview.
Yes, they can answer anyway they want. This show is optional vs the usual big movie talk ups. Seans questions are just a launching pad for a dialogue. I love when they know this vs. a late nite talk show appearance where it's more constrained.
Sean's last question to Zoe was soooo good. Being a massive sci-fi fan, I feel seen and acknowledged. Shout out to Zoe for celebrating NYC chino-latino cuisine!
Same, it's been something that I've been sitting on for years. Question pops up from time to time in my head and I chew it for a day. Hearing her answer from an actor's pov who does many sci-fi projects was interesting.

He has a magic personality and I think everyone knows it at this point. This show is such a winner concept by nature BUT it wouldn't hit the same way without him. Even his laugh as he's gotten comfortable, hit his stride, and perfected his interviewing, is so comforting in a genuine way. He's the best example set for the industry.
You can't help but respect his ability to eat the hot sauces episode after episode and still soldier through. I know I couldn't do that, once would be my white flag.

Can we reiterate she has been in 3 of the TOP 5 HIGHEST GROSSING FILMS OF ALL TIME. The ONLY actor or actress to be able to do that. She is debatably the most successful actress and actor of ALL time and doesn’t even have 1 Oscar? Hollywood is pitiful. This woman deserves so much credit and society gives her next to none. Such a shame, but when she passes then people will start to give her flowers. 🙄

This show is so good. She really seemed to be in uptight "press" mode for the first half, but the back half the wings and Sean started to break down that veneer.
I absolutely love it when they tell him to shut up and give them a second, lol. That's when you know it's working.
Edit: also, she's the only person I can remember that was just like "Nah, I'm not doing the last dab, lol."
And even then in the back half, shes still much more eloquent and composed than most people like Sean mentioned. Suffer thru the sauce a bit and then launch into a full response w/ no issues.

This was definitely one of the better episodes I feel. Her ability to block out the heat and focus in on her answer was impressive. And not only that but also how authentic her responses were just made it even more interesting to watch.

I very much appreciate and admire the respect you show for your guests, especially women. How many interviews have we seen where women are asked such mundane, ridiculous questions about their bodies/diets/personal lives and so on but every single time you ask amazing questions and I think even they are impressed since that is not their experience majority of the time. Love this show!!!
All of the people Sean interviews, I’ve usually seen them in a bunch of other interviews prior, but his interviews are the only ones where I actually learn anything about the interviewee and their career. 😆❤️

Hence why I didn't know she was a ballerina. I'm a guy, I was in high school in 2000, so I didn't watch the ballet movie for obvious reasons.

Back when she was big she made a movie in which "she went on a trip with some friends", one of her friends as Zoe haha. I don’t know much about her personal life, but I’m a big fan of her acting. And this interview just solidified how lovely of a person she must be.

Hot Ones has became the only interview show that I watch even if I have no idea who the guest is. Always fun and made me watch some movies and listen to some music I probably wouldn't touch otherwise.

Another great episode and Sean is stellar as usual, but Zoe is unusually poised and articulate during the heat kicking in. I didn't think I could like her more, but surprise! Now I do. I can see why casting directors have selected her for many of her roles. She's refined, self controlled, strong and very intelligent and that comes through on screen as well as on RUclips 😀
We have seen a lot of wonderful people on Hot Ones, but man... Zoë is on another level, what a well spoken, beautiful human being she is. And she tanked through all the fire and pain with what seems like ease.

I cried through the entire last half of the movie, and yelled and screamed in a theatre 😂 something I never thought I’d do.
