SNOOP D O DOUBLE G!!
I did not expect LL Cool J to have the most dramatic reaction I've seen on this program 😂 I love how he wasn't afraid to show his authentic self here
New Yorkers are super dramatic.....wasn't surprising
Yes, I have never been so pleased by the reactions. Was gold.
Man, not one question about fitness or working out???? That’s wack! Great interview though.
When LL hit da bomb he got that fight or fight biological reaction, love it.
Forget Oreos, eat Cool J cookies cause he's bad.
"Tradition is peer pressure from dead people." I love that quote.
That quote is half true. Traditions are important, but some traditions you should let die.
@@Motard.Actual just like not all peer pressure is bad. Context is always key
It is a witty quote tho lol
@@Motard.Actual How so? what traditions are important and what makes them so?
What's does it mean? Nobody knows what it means but it's provocative , it gets da people going.
He's so likeable. Super tough but also a teddy bear with a sense of humor.
🐻
He ain't hard
@apple sauce I guess you didn't see the mugshot of the guy that broke into his house.
@@applesauce5987 tell that to the person who tried to break in his house We say “Ouch” but LL Cool J says “Momma said Knock you out” 🤣🤣🤣
Yes when someone in the industry speaks about being humble and is humble they are more successful.
I love how everyone Sean interviews just ends up loving him. He is probably the best interviewer I've ever seen.
He’s definitely right up there with Narwuar
i feel same on that
That's that Chicago swag lol
I think for some people it's trauma bonding lol 😂
I concur
"Ego is not your amigo. Humility is a superpower." He had some real pearls of wisdom here.
For real, I loved "Tradition is just peer pressure from dead people".
He's full of ego. It's embarrassing.
@@thinkforyourself828 crazy, they make comments backing up with they said and you? Just your opinion with nothing to back it up. That’s, embarrassing.
@@thinkforyourself828 for someone who’s worth over $300 million he seems pretty humble to me. I mean to be fair I’m sure most rappers have to have a godly amount of ego to do what they do. But he’s alright.
Words to live by….”humility is your super power.”
I once worked somewhere that had a lot of celebrities that came in . LL was the ONLY celeb that introduced himself to everyone , shook hands and acknowledged the entire staff . He’s the nicest celeb I’ve met
May I ask who were the worst?
@@dreamfactory5223 hahaha I want to know too
I went to school with him and face chatted with him about two years ago. Hadn’t talked to him in over 30 years. Talked to me like it was yesterday. Very cool dude. 😊
Melissa McCarthy had diva behavior and was super rude .

LL Cool J is officially a Vampire like Keanu Reeves and Halle Berry. They look the same age as they did 25 years ago. ✌️😂
He suffered from the beginning and still kept going to the end. Respect!!
Right, I'm sure after the reaction from the first wing Sean didn't think he would even finish lol
He’s an actor/entertainer.
Well he said he was bad lol he definitely popping tums afterwards 😂😂😂
Have you guys ever got the hot ones sauces... they are an acquired taste
The raw natural charisma on this man is 100% why Ladies Love Cool James.
I made my day back when I found out what it stood for. He's s humble and gregarious, great interview

I just love how happy he is the whole time it’s contagious! Great quote, “Humility is a super power.” What a legend.
Had me rollin over here 😂
LL's charisma is off the charts. What a legend.
Met LL at an airport a few years back. I mostly don't approach celebrities when I see them, but as a child of 80s/90s NY hip hop I had to say what's up to LL and tell him of my appreciation. The man had all the time in the world for me. Honestly the nicest and most gracious dude. If you see LL, say what's up.
So dope 🙏
Exact thing happened to me, met him at LAX. He was very nice, I was probably 12 at the time and got his autograph
One of the best thing about being from queens is he still chills on the block
Said hi to him once on stage for Lip Sync Battle as I opened the door to him. He looked dead tired, but at least I got a hey back
One of my friends dragged me to one of his book signings back in like 1998. He was so nice to everyone and so gracious. Made me a fan for life. Still have the book he signed 😂
"I'm in crackhead mode - NO DISRESPECT!" my god...what a man. He has such a sweet and humble soul wrapped up in a wicked sense of humor and a mad creative mind. Beautiful inside and out. Outstanding choice for a guest - I needed this!
😂😂😂
This was my fave part of the interview 😂😂😂
Bro I am crying literal tears at LL's reactions 😂😂
By far one of the best Hot Ones to date, actually laughing out loud at some of the responses from LL!
“Hip hop has been in this brown paper bag, so I wanted to deliver this on a silver platter”
Thank you, LL!
LOL this guy has a big ego/ he seems like a caricature.
I dunno, hip hop has been pretty on-point for me since LL was big. What exactly does that mean, anyway?
It means rap never got the respect, recognition, and due diligence it deserved. The music industry always tried to treat it like a niche genre instead of a legit style of music.
@@MichelleyChelle I think that obviously used to be true, but hasn't been that way in quite awhile. Rap is the majority of pop culture now. Its not the 80's or 90's anymore.
@@Danielson1818 Obviously, but I'm just explaining what LL meant by his statement.
“I don’t know, I was high when I wrote it.” Sometimes the wings are like truth serum. Instant, no filter response. I was cracking up this whole episode.
It's the laugh he followed that statement with that got me. That laugh was almost visceral.
At this point, Sean's got so many stories for his grandkids. Dave Grohl called him a legend, LL Cool J called him a genius, he shot napkin free throws with Shaq, made scrambled eggs with Gordon Ramsay, etc.
Never thought about that - great point!
LL found the fountain of youth somewhere this dude does not age 😂
Right he looked older in his youth back when he started! 😂
"Ego is not your Amigo. Humility is a superpower"... good words to live by! Thanks LL!
12 minutes in and those lines leading up to that have been the only significant thing he's said lol
Ego is not your amigo, humility is your super power. Now that's a bar for sure. One of the most fun interviews. Gotta love LL

he for sure came up with that after that thing he had with canibus😁🤣
Amen to that!🖖❤😀🌍
This episode is objectively one of my favorites in a long time. Extremely enjoyable and LL Cool J is so likable.
Honestly, I've not laughed so hard in ages. LL is such a down to earth guy, and him and Sean + hot sauce = winniest of combos. One of my favourite episodes now.
Equals... "winning combo." Proper grammer like.
LL is a walking quote machine. We are watching 2 legends at work.
I never realized how good he is with turning a phrase

I didn’t expect him to be so funny and humble. What a great guy!

@Mike A how do you know what he's familiar with or not...
I was dying laughing the whole time!!! Everytime he took a sip of milk, even when he couldn't really speak, he said he need some milk, in the little voice had my crying!!!!!!! I loved this soo much! Sean your killing it! LL Cool J love you!!
I really thought he’d tap out given the reaction to the first wing, but soooo glad he made it through the gauntlet! Such a good one!!
"Humility is a super power."
Cool J is dropping gems 💎

Just want to give a shout out to the editors of Hot Ones. You guys do an amazing job!! The audio effects, the stingers.. those momentary pauses in the music, the music changes.. you guys are truly brilliant. Sean always gets much deserved credit for his interviews from the fans.. but you guys create the magic that is the show. Thanks!!
agreed! They did particularly good work on this episode.

This episode had me cracking up 😂😂😂😂 Those wings rocked LL…
When he just started laughing hysterically was everything! Made me laugh 😂 I could feel the heat from his reactions. I don’t usually watch this show but I love LL had to watch this and it didn’t disappoint ♥️
Thats how we all get into the show haha! Theyre not all lit but it becomes interesting to see how people go through the gauntlet.❤

I didn’t think LL was gonna make it based on his initial reaction. I thoroughly enjoyed this episode as always! LL is definitely a Legend!
Yeah, he struggled, but with a spark of joy and genuine interest. Class. I could only dream of being that Cool under pressure.

His reaction to the bomb is the best I have ever seen. Been watching since season 1 and this is amazing. Golden comedy right there.

I love it when an interview makes me love someone even more than I already did. I appreciate that he was real and honest in his reactions. 10/10
Idk he did the thing where he like “ I watched the show but why are all these hot sauces here?” Like just say you haven’t seen the show 😂🤦🏻♂️
This episode had me in TEARS!! Uncle L gave us some real gems in life as well as reactions to the heat. I think I speak for most of us watching when I say we do NOT want to see people play it cool - this is pure gold!! He’s got such great energy! “Ego is not your amigo. Humility is a superpower” that’s a good one!
I will remember that phrase for a lifetime though
I'm still in stitches from his reply to the "pink cookies in a plastic bag" question, at that point he seemed to be high from effects of the sauce 🥵😂
and teh way he speaks on hip hop. this man truly loves the genre and his craft. nothing but the utmost respect and i wish everyone could see hip hop the way he does
I really miss that old school vibe that rappers like LL Cool J have. Things are so different now.
Me to the 80s and 90s just had that it factor
@@jasondawson92 It was more wholesome
100% agree
The focus wasn’t so much on doing drugs and killing the opps..
In the 80's when rap and hip hop first came on the scene the rap songs were very poetic, it was all about the rhyme back then. It had the message that you can come up and out of where you are and be more than your hood. LL Cool J, RUN DMC, Grand Master Flash, and many others spoke with their heart and put a lot of love into what they did.
The aluminum foil rose analogy was so insane. No wonder dude is one of the greatest rappers alive.
LL never ages. He looks fantastic.
Loved what he said about the importance of self-discipline. Total respect for him.

"Pink cookies in a plastic bag getting crushed by buildings"
That was one of Sean's best questions he asked so far
That was an extremely necessary question💀
What a perfect answer too. Hah.
@@craenor his laugh 😈😈😈😈😈😈
Pretty sure he explained what it meant before. I think he was just avoiding answering because the meaning is very explicit. He explained it on Twitter and replied to someone that asked why he said in another interview that it was something he said while he was high. His explanation was that he didn’t want to speak on it.
But… I would suggest not looking up what I really means. 😂😂😂
I've never laughed so much! He is so likeable!!! He has stayed consistent throughout the years and a much appreciated gem.

This is wild!!!! I thought this episode was going to be a wack b/c the low view count, but it is one of the funniest episodes in the series. Why aren’t there more views?

I died!! 😁💀
I say this on every LL Cool J video I watch on RUclips, but he is the nicest celebrity I have ever met. I've only met a handful of celebrities, but he is so far ahead it's not even close. Saw him in a restaurant, went up to him to just take a picture, he invited us to sit down, introduced us to his mom and his whole family. He wanted us to sit down and talk, but we didn't want to intrude THAT much. Went back to our table, when they were leaving he said nice meeting you and left.
So he was with his whole family at a restaurant and you went up asking for a pic? 😕 Celebs are people too and deserve uninterrupted time with their family.
@@SyntheticaYT I agree with you 100%, which is why I don't buy any of the magazines with celebrities or watch TMZ or any other "celebrity" watching shows.
In this case, this was back in the 90s when there were no smartphones or paparazzi, and celebrities weren't that bothered in public. We met Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood on the Santa Monica Promenade, in the late 90s when Garth was a huge singer.
Another thing is that we waited until they were finished with their meals. We knew this because the restaurant was Ed Debevics, which was a 50s themed restaurant that everybody went to for their birthdays. They already sang Happy Birthday to LL's kid and ate the cake.
Currently binge watching “In the House” rn so this was perfect. Salute to him for still trying even though spicy food isn’t his thing lol. LL is legendary and still fine af 😆
The personality on this gorgeous man 🤗 Had a crush on him since the 90's for good reason - still amazing, still bringing it, at 55!!!
Every 5 seconds is a meme worthy moment. This man started shadow boxing. 😂 LL brought the energy! Respect to an entertainment legend.
This is such a great contrast to the Lenny Kravitz episode. Two guys of the same generation: one keeping so chill that you can't tell it's affecting him, and one guy trying so hard to hold it together. Another awesome episode
Both appear to be great and I love their gifts
LL always goes hard every time I see him, has to just be him. Very energetic and personable.
He's got that funny laugh reaction too when watching Lip Sync Battles

The production and sound effects on this show is great! Sean is a great host.
That fact that this man said “he need sum milk “ made this interview 10x better 😂 love this!
I love it how he is the first person to truly react in awhile. He’s great!
Was wondering how people have been doing so well with the wings to be honest lol
The sauces seems to be lighter
Same!!! I bought a few of the sauces and I’m shocked how they all talk through them and don’t really seem to respond at all.
I didn’t know LL had this much personality . He’s hilarious 😂
That was too good. When he was hollering at the classic hot sauce, I thought he was in trouble but he got all the way to Da Bomb🤣🤣😄🏆🏅

THIS WAS SO FUNNY HE STARTED BOXING!!!!!!!!!
He has me dying and especially during the ice cream section. Ha!🤣🤣🤣
I love LL, he was not shy about letting us know he does not like spicy. He’s a whole comedian on this pepper high. I’m genuinely curious about how Da Bomb actually tastes (not enough to try it myself). It seems to just creep up on them, like they go from “I might be ok, wait maybe not, no I’m not, I’m definitely not ok, oh I’m in trouble, expletives, expletives, expletives, tears + expletives, don’t talk to me”
My experience with trying a tiny taste of the Heatonist version (no extract) was immediate discomfort and a heat that you can feel all the way down your esophagus and coating your stomach. It is a wholly unpleasant sauce.
Having tried both, they feel very similar in terms of heat, but the version in the hot ones box tastes better and less metallic.
The don’t talk to me is when you know it’s real! 😂😂😂
It definitely had some heat to it. My buddy is obsessed with spicy everything, so I had to try it. It’ll put some lead in your pencil for sure.
