From what I have read (at least 30yrs ago) is that there once was a European King that knew how to breed unicorns. They were not horses but goats not unlike the Bakra goats of India and Pakistan. These gigantic goats stand six feet tall today and are the size of a pony. Now, this is from my memory so I may have the details wrong, but these goats were bred to have a single horn, which actually was two horns twisted together. This also may be the reason that some modern-day pictures of "horse" unicorns having beards (like a goat).

It all depends on who you ask. Not all Christians have the training or mental ability to know everything about Scripture. Just like only a small percentage of people are brain surgeons or quantum physicists. I could have told you 30 years ago about Rhinoceros Unicornis and Bicornis. I don't know everything about Scripture, but I've learnt a lot and that's due to doing as YOU did: ask questions. I was lucky, maybe in ways you weren't, by having people around me that weren't prideful. Who said, "I don't know that answer. Try asking X instead". You didn't get that much, going by what you've said. You just had bad reasoning from ignorant yet well meaning Christians who just stuck to the old saw: "If the Bible says it, I believe it." They failed to take to heart what the Apostles told us: "Have a REASON for the faith that is in you."
I'd happily take a stab at any question, and most of the common "problem" questions I've seen and answered over and over. You could stump me with some, of course. But I'll do as other did for me: send you to someone better suited in that particular field.

    Elasmotherium lived in biblical lands!
During the reign of Darius I the Great, the Persian-Achaemenid Empire stretched from the Balkan Peninsula, Egypt, to northwest India. That mighty empire also conquered parts of Kazakhstan, where they discovered the remains of Elasmotherium.
Darius I also sent an army on his "Scythian Campaign" into Russia, Ukraine and parts of Romania.
In all these lands, there were Elasmotheriums "Sibiricums" (Siberian) and "Caucasicums" (Caucasus).
In Persian mythology, there was a one-horned creature called "Karkadann" which means rhinoceros. It is said that the Karkadann had venomous horns. Fossils of Iranotheriums have already been discovered in the Iran/Persia region.
Furthermore, on the Black Obelisk of Shalmaneser III, there is a description of cattle and antelope, alongside a possible rhinoceros; and in Indus Valley culture, there are descriptions (perhaps Aurochs) with a unicorn animal.
Ahmad ibn Fadlan, a Muslim traveler of the 10th century, wrote that on his journey to Russia, near the Volga River, the inhabitants hunted a dangerous and giant species which, according to Fadlan, was said to be a rhinoceros. He also mentioned Yemen.
There are fossil records of Sinotherium in China and reports of Chinese unicorns; Rouffignac and Lascaux cave paintings of unicorns and historical records by Pliny the Elder, among others. The Sumerian Rimu was depicted with only one horn.
Therefore, the Biblical "Re'em" may very well have been a Unicorn, as they lived in Biblical lands.

Yes, I also believe it was an Aurochs. Julius Caesar described them in his "Gallic Wars" as:
A little below the elephant in size, and of the appearance, color, and shape of a bull. Their strength and speed are extraordinary; they spare neither man nor wild beast which they have espied... Not even when taken very young can they be rendered familiar to men and tamed. The size, shape, and appearance of their horns differ much from the horns of our oxen. These they anxiously seek after, and bind at the tips with silver, and use the cups at their most sumptuous entertainments.
Just a correction. I said that the word Rimu comes directly from Sumerian, but actually seems to derive from the Assyrian language. However, my question is: Why were the aurochs represented with only one horn, even if that meant "artistic symmetry"?
For me, Psalm 22 clearly proves that Re'em was an aurochs, while Job 39 proves that he was a dangerous animal and difficult to tame. Deuteronomy 33 seems to indicate that: Joseph is the aurochs, while Manasseh and Ephraim are the two horns. Another interpretation says that it would be a rhinoceros; the greater horn is Ephraim, and the lesser is Manasseh.
The Re'em was an animal that Israelites - as well as their neighbors - should have been familiar with. But I don't deny the possibility of having been a "unicorn"!
Job (1710-1570 B.C.) lived during the Ice Age! Yes, according to recent biblical and scientific data, the Ice Age was a consequence of Noah's Flood.
The Land of Uz was close to the Gulf of Aqaba. The Book of Job (6:15-20; 9:30-31; 24:7; 30:5-10; 37:9-10 and 38:22-30), possibly describes the Glacial Maximum, when glaciers covered 30% of the Earth. Regions like, United States, Europe, Siberia, Patagonia, Canada, Antarctica and parts of China, Korea and Japan).
This being so, it is not improbable that an "Elasmotherium" was sighted on the Arabian Peninsula in Job's day. Uz was a land - just like North Africa and the Middle East - full of lush vegetation and a very cold winter climate. Yes, Job 29:2 says that Job was suffering "MONTHS", while Job 2 describes the visit of his friends.
Job 6 says that [caravans coming from Teman] perished when looking for torrents with ICE and SNOW. (Teman is the land of Eliphaz).
There is a possibility that Siberian Unicorns inhabited the Middle East for a short time, before migrating further north!
      God bless you!

      @@biblicus8204 Could have been.
I think Caesar was exaggerating a little as the Auroch bull was about six feet at the shoulder from what I have read, larger in the north than the south of Europe. That's around the size of a bison. (Weisant)
I agree that the ice age was a result of the flood and that the region of the middle east was lusher at the time. Rhinos probably lived there then.
I still wonder how our cattle are descended from an untamable, even from a calf, bovine? Somebody must have domesticated one, or they really come from some other type.
I'm also a little suspicious of dogs coming from wolves though they can interbreed.
I'm suspicious that there may have been animals that started hanging with man right off the ark. Certain kinds of sheep and goats as well.

You don't believe in "Baraminology"? I honestly don't. The Book of Leviticus is "SILENT" about this idea.
The Bible clearly "distinguishes" a wolf from a dog, fox, or jackal. But advocates of Baraminology say they are practically the same creature.
I am reminded of the passage from Jeremiah: "Can the Ethiopian change his color? Or the leopard his spots?"
They say that God created one type of each species and that they diversified quickly after the Flood. However, we don't see that today. They "REDUCE" the animals on the Ark.
The Bible clearly differentiates Lions from cats, leopards, etc.
"But they don't cross?" Yes, but your offspring can have huge deficiencies and even infertility on certain occasions.
Furthermore, God commanded humans, 'NOT' to mate with different species of animals!!
I truly believe that Elephants, Mammoths and Mastodons were together on the Ark.
As we are talking about unicorns, I remembered one detail. Woolly rhinos lived alongside Elasmotherium, but never mated with each other and produced offspring.
This indicative seems to refute baraminology, which says that they are the same creature, but with a certain limitation in species.
Well, I'm not a scientist, I should ask them.

Who's horn may have been up to 6 feet long...I had a goat who had green mold around his black hooves, White coat with red, yellow and orange and brown and grey and even bluish grey mixed in there. If Paco could have all those colors then ELASMOTHERIUM could have as well.

Dragon = Large reptile, a terrible lizard.
Old English dictionaries say "A very rare creature, not seen often", about 400-500 years ago. At the time the Bible was translated into English.
The last reported "dragon slaying" was about 300 or so years ago in Ireland, a farmer killed one that was about 5 or 6 feet in length.
      So they went extinct.
Then about 200 years ago or less, bones of giant animals were found (in England). And people asked, "What are these?"
We call them "Dinosaurs". Greek deinos "terrible" + sauros "lizard". Terrible lizard.
And then the people who wanted to prove God didn't exist said that "The Bible talks of dragons and unicorns, which are myths."
Except the Rhino is still here, and some "dinosaurs" are still here (Crocs, Alligators). Dragons are dinosaurs. They are the ONE "myth" creature that exists in all cultures, just in different forms and shapes...
... just like Dinosaurs have different forms and shapes.

    • @Iluvantir
      @Iluvantir Год назад +4

@@susanhamilton8288 Yes and no, Susan. Yes, the Bible compares Satan to a dragon. Just as it compares Jesus to both a lion and a lamb, and as Jesus compared himself to a door, bread, etc. These are not definitions of "dragon" or "lion", etc.
In fact, whenever the Bible compares one thing to another it always does so with real to real. Lions are real. Lambs are real. Unicorns are Rhinos (single horned variants)... so why would it latch onto mythical, make-believe creatures for comparing Lucifer to a dragon?
Dragons exist in all societies, with tales and legends being built up around them. Some societies today still claim that their "dragons" still can be found, with rumours from the Congo to the South American jungles. Descriptions of such creatures always make us Westerners think of "dinosaurs".
There are pictures of dragons engraved in bronze in a church in the north of England. The church is about 1000 years old. And the dragons are two Brontosaurus-like creatures with their necks intertwined. They look perfectly as we NOW understand these creatures to have looked, from their bones. When their bones were first discovered and drawings were made, they did not look as we now understand them to have looked, with that form of science still in it's infancy. So how did someone 1000 years ago manage to draw them so exactly, carved into bronze plaques, when in the 1800s we made a complete hash of it?
Because they saw them 1000 years ago. Dragons went extinct as we hunted them into extinction. Understandable, really, as such creatures are large, trample things, are dangerous. If we wanted to build a civilization we'd have cleared out the more dangerous creatures.
What were dragon-slayers actually slaying? Knights just making up stories to entertain the common folk? We'd ask for proof of such claims today, no? Wouldn't people 500, 600, 1000 years ago also have asked?
      ---
      "I've killed a dragon today!"
      "Really?"
"Yeah... it's a mile down the road. Put up a fight, but here... a tooth. You can go get the rest and sell it."
      ---
We'd demand proof today, so would people in days gone by. Why, then, did "dragons" enter myth if they were once real? Understanding history and how people thought. During the 1500s to late 1700s, extinction wasn't "a thing" in people's minds. Those in the Christian world believed God would never allow any animal to "vanish" completely. So when dragons DID vanish it was very easy for people to "brush off" the tales and histories of dragons as mere myth and legend, make-believe. Then, dinosaur bones were discovered and the real history of dragons wasn't pointed to. Instead they invented "millions of years ago" and latched it onto evolution instead.
There are records of dragon encounters by Alexander the Great, Caesar, from all over the world. The kings of Babylon had pet dragons, so did the Kings and Emperors of China. Stories come from tribes and cultures everywhere.
The bible never talks about anything it doesn't consider real. Dragons were real to the writers of the Scriptures. Behemoth is described (Brontosaurus like again, by the description in Job), Leviathan is as well.
So yes, the devil is called a dragon. He's also likened to a lion. Jesus is called abstracted things like "way", "truth". He is called a lamb, a lion, a branch, a star. Doesn't mean any of them weren't real things though.

The Unicorn might be something like an Wild Ox but was not an Ox.

Hi! Thank you for clear definition of unicorns in Bible. My granddaughter loves unicorns and rainbows; has them all over her room, stuffed toys, and clothes. Why is this concerning to me? Because she tells me that unicorns are spirits that guide you. This, in addition to what God’s rainbow has come to mean in recent years in culture, calls for important Biblical teachings of the true meanings of these things at some point. Not so innocent and whimsical after all.

Unicorn basically means a single horn. If it is about strength that would be the single horned species of rhinos. The one still found in India and the extinct one that was much bigger. A small species of deer with only one horn was discovered in Vietnam in the 90s. Sticking it on a horse was obviously artistic license in action.

I LOVE this stuff. Was recently validated that "evil" was not used to describe a "bad" spirit; simply one hard to bind/bring into subjection. That would make the Lord "evil". "Satan" simply meant opposer; in the bible one of the Lord's angels is called Satan because he was opposing/attempting to bind an "evil" spirit.
It all just proves to me that "God" never created anything with anything other than innocent intent( no such thing therefore can exist) and there truly is nothing to fear.💕

This is a very interesting video. There is always something new to learn in the Bible. Brown, Driver, and Briggs simply stated that the Septuagint is in error. How do they know that? The Asiatic lion, wolf, and bear once roamed the Middle East, and they have all long since become extinct in the Middle East. The rhinoceros unicornis could have once roamed the Middle East.

    • @kddlporterkddlporter5679
      @kddlporterkddlporter5679 Год назад

Because the Septuagint is late, & based on Philo-Clement-Origen.....like all the per-versions rooted in Greek philosophy & Plato via Philo of Alexandria. It's a very corrupt text preferred by philosophers & idolatrous humanists raising godmen rather than Christ of the Godhead. God said his words would be preserved, & they have been: in the King James Bible.

However, the King James translators correctly used unicorn. One horn. They (Brigg's et al) didn't discount the Septuagint across the board as they should have...playing their selective games to build their evolving one world antichrist bibles. That philosophy & presumption the root of biological evolution, too, I might add. Be consistent.

I just wish they'd be open about it & not deceitful, for the way to freedom indeed is to continue in the word to the new birth of God's power, & many are kept from it, even by ministries purporting to be 'helping' them. Reminds you of the Gentile-kabalist government schemes w/ their Babylonian order. But it sure makes sense now.

This is a parable of Jesus and the Bride. Jesus gave me this a few years ago and i still get gold out of it. I print it and give it to everyone i can. He is brilliant. Most people want to go to the rhinoceros rapture.
Rhinoceros rapture written down By Laura
God saved all the animals two by two
And put them up in heaven's zoo.
But Rhinoceros was very heavy and large
So the angels left him to wait on mars.
He found that he could fly around in the sky
So he flew to the moon and watched the other animals go by
He had to ask God why oh why do i wait
And God said don't you know that you wait for a mate?
She will be like you and different too
And you both will live with me in heavens zoo
When he saw her floating weightless by
A lady rhinoceros great big and shy
He knew at first sight she was totally gross
and just like him a rhinoceros
She knew she was a muddy dirty thing too
and she would really love him in heavens zoo
And he said she is gross just like me
So he leapt from the moon and went over to see
Past the stars way above was the zoo
And there was room for lots more than two.
The rhinoceros knew so he flew and he flew
and he met his mate at the gate to the zoo.
      Isaiah 11, 66:23
Rev 5:13 KJV - 13 And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.
Zec 2:4-5, 10-11 And said unto him, Run, speak to this young man, saying, Jerusalem shall be inhabited as towns without walls for the multitude of men and cattle therein: 5 For I, saith the LORD, will be unto her a wall of fire round about, and will be the glory in the midst of her. ... 10 Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion: for, lo, I come, and I will dwell in the midst of thee, saith the LORD. 11 And many nations shall be joined to the LORD in that day, and shall be my people: and I will dwell in the midst of thee, and thou shalt know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me unto thee.
I just got scripture confirmation about the rhinoceros rapture and its a parable of Jesus as well as the rapture of animals
I don’t know if anyone else will understand this but i was wondering if the rhinoceros represented Jesus and it does! so adorable
