A Hindu by birth, a Christian by conviction, I fully KNOW that there is a Creator who has spoken many things to man only through the BIBLE. hough I have been greatly impressed with several points made in this video, I have qualms about accepting the data presented for the existence of a BRIEF ice age AFTER THE FLOOD. The chief reason for dismissing this proposal are these verses from Scripture: Genesis 8: 21...And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake; for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done. 22, While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease. Were it presented to be DURING the flood, I would be minded to accept such a school of thought. It is said that the waters prevailed upon the earth for 5 months, and ice age conditions could have occurred during that period to provide an explanation for the sudden frozen deaths of mammals. The pairs of wooly mammoths that have [could have] emerged from the ark could have become extinct just as many species are becoming extinct to this day.
As long as an ice age doesn't cover all the land, these verses aren"t contradicted. Antarctica and Greenland are still in an ice age and gigantic areas of the earth, such as the Sahara Desert, the Lauerentian Shield, Siberia, and most of Australia are unarable or nearly so.
I especially love all the scientific data you presented here. It makes it really clear that you're not just mixing 50% truth with 50% religion, you're instead verifying the accuracy of your religion's claims by making hypotheses and then going out into the field, performing experiments to test your hypotheses, and then coming here to report on the results. People hung out and talked until the cows came home... ***A future society reading this, using current 'bean counter' mentality would find several reasons why this story could not be true... #Cannot drive a hundred mph for any length of time, speed limit was 55mph plus stoplights... #Can't have Everyone at a family reunion, as forebears have already passed... #Everyone being there would indicate that the townspeople were also related. Records show they were not.... #GPS in the future is never wrong. How can there be an error of this magnitude... #The person only made a right turn, and backtracked - according to convenience store receipts. There were no witnesses seeing a car turn 180 degrees... #The author of this tale states that they got there in No Time. The space time continuum would not allow for this, and time travel portals are only for limited use, at our present (future) date. #Hanging out is an obscure reference. Unclear of meaning and social context. Sounds uncomfortable and dangerous, especially when furniture was widely available... Perhaps refers to wet clothing? #Until the cows came home...Records show that there haven't been cattle in that area since the late 1800s. When there was, they lived in herds, not houses. **No way that story could be True, as interpreted by future readers, using this way of thinking, and interpreting Facts. Yet it could be a true tale of someone's experience in those times... Nothing Happened. Nothing Exists Yet - here we are...

Animal changes through adaption. What some call "micro evolution" to try and explain "evolution" is really adaption. Like life, history and time, it's all one way. it's fantasy. There are no facts, no evidence that supports creation. NONE. The Bible was written by men in the Bronze Age. It is not a science text. Just because you don't understand something doesn't mean that God did it. It means you don't understand.
Why? If you want to believe in it then go for it, but don't try to prove it scientifically, because that's nonsense. That's what I like about the Amish, they believe the same stuff, but don't try to prove it and don't proselytize, they just live their life

@@mountkeen8701 That percentage number is completely arbitrary. It is well documented that vast sections of DNA between the two genomes are so incredibly different that they are omitted from the results… much like someone could claim that the Empire State Building is 98% similar to the pentagon just because the same building materials (rebar, steel beams, drywall etc..) were used. All kinds of (non-creationist) studies have since about 2013 concluded that a more realistic percentage is anywhere from 40 to 80 in similarity. At that point, one could argue common design.

It’s clearly obvious to me that the chimp and human comparison was made through deceitful eyes in favor of providing evidence for evolution more than documenting facts of biology. Google the peer reviewed paper by Jeffrey P Tompkins in regards to his attempt of refutation against Answers In Genesis where therein he comes to the same conclusion that the similar DNA is between 60%-84%. That’s a good start. Or better yet, compare the graphed results yourself between PanTro4/PanTro5 and GRCh37.31 (the actual specimens used in the Human Genome Project). You can find graphs that actually account for the vast unalign-able regions of the two specimens.

@@travisbicklepopsicle I don’t use AIG articles to argue creation. And I’m not sure if testimonies from Francis are supposed to be convincing, but they’re not. I’d hate to pull a “Kent Hovind”, but let’s take a Toyota 4Runner and a Tacoma for example. They are completely different vehicles made for different things, but they share 90%+ of the same wires, sensors, drivetrain and suspension components etc… what does that prove? It proves that the same engineers designed them. You’d have to have an incredible imagination to come to any other conclusion. Francis dove into into the HGP with a background that was heavily invested in biological evolution, and that’s abundantly clear. Diving into the meat and potatoes of the results make it abundantly clear that results were omitted in favor of providing evidence for evolution. Even from a behavioral and morphological standpoint, one cannot honestly believe that we are more related to chimps than tigers are related to house cats. The differences are too obvious.

If geologic eons were involved, the sedimentation should not be so sweetly layered as it is, but rather a fairly even mix of soil types without the obvious layers. there is another possible explanation for why non-swimming species could spread to other continents: humans transported them
this contradicts the accepted science, because mainstream scientists don't like the idea of advanced technology among ancient societies.
Also, the land was all connected at one time.
I think humans had very advanced technology in ancient times. The Bible never gives a date as to when the Flood happened.Yes,we know there was A flood at the end of the ice age,but that does not prove that that was the same Flood told of in the Bible.Obviously it was not a high-tech world at the end of the ice age that we know about, but millenia before that ther could have been advanced technology.God supposedly destroyed the world because of mankind's sinfulness. What kind of sin could virtually every human on the planet have been committing if they were all living in huts and spending every minute in activities(farming, hunting, etc.)needed to simply sustain life in a primitive agricultural civilization as we know existed 10-12,000 years ago?But I can see a civilization very similar to ours, with too much idleness and ease, succumbing this way.

Very interesting. Thank you
A Hindu by birth, a Christian by conviction, I fully KNOW that there is a Creator who has spoken many things to man only through the BIBLE. hough I have been greatly impressed with several points made in this video, I have qualms about accepting the data presented for the existence of a BRIEF ice age AFTER THE FLOOD. The chief reason for dismissing this proposal are these verses from Scripture:
Genesis 8: 21...And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake; for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done.
_I fully KNOW_
No you dont, you just believe you know.
I really liked that part of this seminar. Very well done. You've earned a subscriber.

You mentioned "rafting" as the way some animals got to the remote places, like Australia, but I don't remember you mentioning the possibility of land bridges. There have been city like structures found underwater along the coasts of many countries, which makes me think that the sea/ocean level was much lower during the ice age or some point, long enough for people to have confidence to build and live there. Has anyone ever calculated what the water lowest level could have been?
I once calculated tat the ocean level must have been lower tan now by 37 meters at one point, after studying one cave photograph, with had cave paintings, but may be I am mistaken.
According to the Bible only 15% of the earth was water. A complete reversal of current conditions. Something to contemplate
There are no and were no land bridges to australia the sea floor has been mapped around australia
…don’t forget the Bering Strait.

I think it takes more faith to believe in evolution than creation.
Evolution isn’t based on faith, it’s based on evidence of which there is a massive amount. Creation is based on belief with no evidence.

Not faith, but stupidity to believe in evolution!!
@@davidgardner863And where is your evidence that Creationists rely only on faith and not science? That is simply not the case. Are you one of those whom the God refers to as being "willfully ignorant"?
@@VaxtorT , You are the one terribly ignorant of science to ask that question. There is no science that confirms anything in Genesis. In fact Genesis has been debunked by many fields of science with knowledge gained over the last 4 centuries. You are believing what pseudo scientists like Kurt Wise tells you. Sure he has a PhD in geology but he also said that all the evidence in the universe wouldn’t change his mind on the Bible. Every one of these creation scientists on their videos admit they start with the Bible. That can only mean that they rely on faith and not science. The presenter of the video explains that there wasn't really an "Ice Age", per se, since many northern areas were not covered in ice. I think maybe the Bible doesn't cover every weather event?
@Fulla Joy He is right. There was not one ice age, there were at least 5. If you want proof about any ice age, go get a book on it showing the evidence! Ripples in the earth's crust, giant boulders sitting in fields, and many other pieces show this.

Thank God for the ministry of Answers In Genesis. You learn so much real science.
Another very good book to read is Walt Brown's ' In The Beginning ' mostly dealing with the ' hydro- plate ' theory.
I always believed there was an axis shift somewhere and the book also explains when and how one occurred.
Good points. Micro evolution or specialization happens. Macro evolution or completely new and different type of animal, like amphibian to reptile has never been observed.
Scientific method starts with observation, coming up with an idea (hypothesis), then testing. One part of the method that I've never heard recently is the necessity of proposing & testing counter examples which would invalidate the hypothesis.
Macro evolution hasn’t been observed because it’s not real, it’s a term that creationists use to justify genetic diversity after the flood without actually having to fully understand and believe those very same scientific principles that explain both “types” of evolution
And as for counter examples and alternate explanation: there’s literally dozens of conflicting theories that are talked about to this day. Spinosaurus, Dark matter, String theory, Quantum Gravity, normal Gravity, first life forms, A lot of stuff is still very much in debate, but evolution is probably one of the most well documented scientific theories alongside cell theory and gravity.

Has something to do with the Younger Dryas period when the ice started melting...
@@uolocur9356 I think there is evidence of a a series of floods occuring around the same time.
The region where Noah's flood occured had a basin-like area extending 500+ miles.
Which was their world.
So the ark came to rest in the mountains of Ararat, not On Mt. Ararat in the same range.
And the 'fountains of the deep were broken up' which indicates an under water volcano/seismic activity. Steam vents spewing high into the air could cause rain for extended periods.
And most cultures have a flood story where they built rafts and saved a remnant of animals and humans. I think in the epic of Gilgamesh, huge round boats, and there was a documentary guy who has a team of experts reconstruct one of these, as they are basically huge round baskets covered with tar, and in use for a long time. It worked.
They used these to transport goods and animals up and down the river to begin with.
I think a lot of life was wiped out after the Younger Dryas, and there were events before/after causing these changes. But some remnants everywhere had survived.
If people started being able to make a distinction between something that is Generally true, and stopped trying to turn it into a discrete, measurable Fact, observed only from a Modern viewpoint, we can actually reconnect to having a sense of Continuity.
Sometimes cultures use numbers to convey ideas....
So if a modern person told a story saying -'They were driving like, a hundred miles an hour to get to a family reunion in another state, but realized the GPS was wrong, so they did a 180, and found a shortcut, and got there in No Time.
Everybody was going to be there.
Nothing Exists
Yet - here we are...

About shifting of the continents: What is the biblical explaination for the Wallace line?
Animal changes through adaption. What some call "micro evolution" to try and explain "evolution" is really adaption. Like life, history and time, it's all one way. Adaption goes one way and can't back track because of lost genetic material. Cross-breading can reintroduce some back. In time in all winds down, on the smallest cellular level to the entire Universe. It's called "original sin" or "Adam's sin", if I understand it correctly.
_Animal changes through adaption. What some call "micro evolution" to try and explain "evolution" is really adaption_
There's no difference.
_Like life, history and time, it's all one way. Adaption goes one way and can't back track because of lost genetic material_
Nope, not true, humans discarded tails but still have the DNA "code" to grow one, it is simply suppressed, not lost.
_In time in all winds down, on the smallest cellular level to the entire Universe. It's called "original sin" or "Adam's sin", if I understand it correctly_
It's called entropy, and lif eon earth isn;t winding down because it utilises free eergy from the sun, the system as a whole (the universe) is winding down, but localised increases in complexity by energy transfers aren't forbidden.

They entered the ark two by two ( in pairs)That's a lot more room for genetic variation in kinds than general presented. Why is this missed so much??
Not two pairs of unclean, only one pair. See Genesis 7:1-2
By 7s and by 2s male and female 7pairs and 2 pairs 14, 4 thats literally the verse that I got it from gen7:2
The 7 pairs of clean allows for the sacrifices by Noah, and for each family to start a herd or flock.
I was going to say the same thing and I don't believe in the creation myth to start with but I have extensively studied religion and still do so on a regular basis as well as history archeology and science I even volunteered for a year 1997 in the Smithsonian institute laboratories for experience and have seen football field size warehouses of fossils underneath that building in DC there are so many things that prove all of this completely absurd and ridiculous but even the Bible proves this particular genetic diversity idea incorrect if you want to go buy biblical text
