    In the mountains of Armenia my brother in law with a German geologist have found and took a photo of a petroglyph where a fight of 2 men against a typic tyrannosaurus is depicted. More precisely, one of the people lies on the ground wounded or dead, and the second protects him with a spear or stick from the lizard.

One being the life and death and reresection of Jesus Historically proven.

    • @sjl197
      @sjl197 9 месяцев назад

      @@BrianJonesOneClearChoice Hi. Well, evolutionary biology is a subset of biology, which is a subset of science. This is as much of a fact, and moreso that much of what you then claim to be factual. That said, let's perhaps shift first to where we can perhaps agree. I also think the bible contains much which can be seen as historical facts, especially in the new testament. Here, i mean many reported aspects that tie against (and hence supported by) other external evidence which independently is inline with same narrative like archeology, or less securely by other stated accounts, most notably those written by other authors. However, i would take pause to say that much said about the life of Jesus really does not seem to me as secure as you seem to favour. I would strongly disagree about your statement on the resurection as 'historically proven' - it absolutely is not proven. Firstly, the claim of resurrection after death is of course counter to (almost) any such event in humanity history - or even that of any animal. The idea of Jesus' resurrection is an extraordinary claim, which of course makes it so remarkable to Christians. However, it is not the only claimed case, as similar extrordinary claims exist for supposed resurrection for Osiris in Egypt, Tammuz in Mesopotamia, Quetzalcóatl in Mexico, etc. If stick to bible though, I find it amazing how easily forgotton Lazarus of Bethany became, even though he too was said to be resurrected. Anyway, to focus back on the beloved Jesus, what there is are essentially four different accounts, seemingly written many years later by people who were not directly involved in the events. Add in some scholars favor that the account of Matthew seems to largely adapted from Mark possibly earlier account, hence lacks independance. There's also a rather indirect statement by Paul to the Corinthians, that you might want to treat as eye-witness. Even if the accounts are independendant, each vary in several aspects of the narrative, which a modern court case in the western world would rightly treat with skeptisim and caution if such differing accounts were presented as evidence. So, i'm really not sure how you can jump from what's said in those differing (and possibly non-independant) accounts, mostly written long after the event, to somehow 'historically proven'. i really cannot fathom how you seem willing to gladly accept those as 'true' or in your words ‘proven’, yet seem so willing to dismiss evolution (or rather evolutionary biology) as unfounded? It partly seems you've partly misunderstood the scientific word theory is, if so let’s first address that. A theory in scientific terminology has been explained multiple times as a "well-substantiated explanation", "based on a body of facts that have been repeatedly confirmed", a concept which differs strongly from the common usage of 'theory' as more akin to a premise or a hypothesis. How we define science is more tricky, but your idea of 'testing assumptions' can be part of core concept of falsifiability. That's only one facet of science, but if using that then i would strongly disagree with you there too - much of evolutionary biology including all the core concepts have been subject to 'testing' in many various ways, and the concepts remain robust to the continued addition of new evidence from multiple sources. Your beloved "historically proven" resurrection is in essence five cases of testimony, only one as eyewitness. Modern psychology has repeatedly shown how unreliable eye witnesses can be due to failure of memory, bias, and even willful embelishment. Yet worse, four of your five sources are several years after the alledged event, at best interpreting word of mouth hearsay. So please, let's hear how you say any of that is 'historically proven'.

      @@gohan3448 How do we know that this point in time is exactly 4.54 billion years in the past?
      The most important tool for dating things is the half-life of radioactive atoms. Every radioactive atom has a so-called half-life. That is the time, when there is exactly a 50% chance that it fell apart. Quantum mechanically, it is impossible to predict exactly when an atom will spontaneously fall apart. We can only say something about the probability of an atom falling apart. Fortunately for these measurements, there are a lot of atoms. The time when 50% of, say, a billion atoms have fallen apart, is precisely known, by the law of large numbers.
      There are atom types that have half-lives of hundreds of millions of years or more. Well-known examples are uranium-235, uranium-238 and thorium-232 (the number after the element name indicates the number of particles in the atomic nucleus). Radioactive decay occurs in only a few well-known ways. For example, an atom can emit an alpha particle, i.e. a helium nucleus: the atomic number then drops by two and there are two neutrons and two protons less in the remaining nucleus. Beta decay is also common: an atomic nucleus then ejects an electron and thereby moves up one place in the periodic table. A well-known series of decay reactions is that of uranium-238 in lead-206. Crystals of a pure uranium-containing mineral naturally contain no lead, because lead behaves chemically very differently from uranium. The more lead there is, the older the mineral must be. The amount of lead in uranium-containing meteorites relative to the amount of uranium is so high that they have been dated to be around 4.54 billion years old. Meteorites have formed in the protoplanetary disk. Therefore, we know that this disk existed around 4.54 billion years ago and so the Earth must be slightly younger than this date. The oldest known minerals on Earth, zirconium crystals from the Jack Hills of Australia, and where these measurements were taken, were not much younger, at around 4.4 billion years old. Hence we can say with great certainty that the earth is between 4.5 and 4.6 billion years old.

      Coelacanths are an order of fish, not a single species. The two species alive today are not anything like the many species found in the fossil record. The large gap between ancient and modern Coelacanths is due to how rare fossilization is, and the problem of where the fish lived. Since they only live in deep sea caves, we'd only be able to find them throughout the gap if deep sea cave systems eroded in every layer between the Mesozoic and modern periods. Even then, there'd still be no guarantee the fish would even have fossilized in spots we'd be able to dig in.

The prints that seem human are a variety of things, depends on which specific impression you point to, but for the most part they are modified and/or eroded dinosaur prints, modified by creationists back in the 1930s to hype the 'find' and bolster their claims of humans and dinos living together. Some try to say that when its said that 1 day is as 1000 years and a 1000 years is as 1 day.. to mean each day in Genesis could be 1000 years.. but in reality hes saying 1000 years to god was like yesterday.. i tell them each Day of creation has to be 1 day for the day of rest to be celebrated as one day the Sabbath day.. so if that is 1 day so is all the rest

    42:50 Yes, dinosaur fossils completely embedded by feathers have indeed been commonly discovered. The classical ‘raptor’ has been found fully feathered within stone. Only Hollywood ignored that fact. Smaller dinosaurs are the only ones found with feathers.

    • @WiseAsSerpentsHarmlessAsDoves

      Then how were dinosaurs with feathers non-avian if birds come from them? And why this recent claim of feathers found in fossils(about 15 years ago)of dinosaurs goes against the proven fact that t-rex for example was covered by scales and not feathers? And since no one can prove it's actually feathers in those fossils and not other structures resembling modern day birds feathers before birds even evolved them in the first place?

    • @djayk9692
      @djayk9692 9 месяцев назад

      @@WiseAsSerpentsHarmlessAsDoves When was the last time you looked a dinosaur species phylogenetic tree? Birds are a ‘type’ of dinosaur, or off-shoot of them; Avialae. Thus becoming ‘Avian’ in their own nature. They’re a smaller form of Theropods. Similar to the concept of a woolly mammoth versus modern elephant; with and without the expression of body hair. Many whale species indeed have body hair or follicles that they keep/lose with age. Morphology and body size can dictate how various genes are expressed. Larger dinosaurs had thicker hides, with the genetic expression of follicular feathers or downy feathers blocked but scales prioritized, while the opposite was seen with smaller dinosaurs.

    • @hylaherping9180
      @hylaherping9180 9 месяцев назад

      @Originalongrace Feathered dinosaurs have been known since Darwin was alive, it is not a recent discovery. Feathers did not originally evolve for flight, they evolved for maintaining body temperature as theropods were endothermic like modern birds. We know this for certain because Dinosaurs like Oviraptor have been found fossilized while insulating a clutch of eggs. Oviraptor was definitely not a bird, but was a theropod. Not all theropods were feathered, as T-Rex was too large to need them for thermoregulation. Similar to how the largest mammals living today have very little hair. There is no argument that paleontologists have discovered feathers on some theropods. No one, not even you can honestly look at Anchiornis fossils and say that they aren't covered in feathers. It's so obvious what those are. Sinosauropteryx is a theropod with insulating fuzzy feathers, none evolved for flight or gliding. Birds specifically are theropod dinosaurs that modified their feathers for flight. The earliest birds flew, all species that are flightless now stem from flying ancestors. This becomes even more obvious when looking at Terror Birds, which are what happens when you try to make a large carnivorous theropod dinosaur out of a bird.
      Birds are dinosaurs. Everyone who studies paleontology knows this. There's way too much evidence to deny it. Besides feathers on theropods, birds have genes for teeth which look exactly like dinosaur teeth, they have identical leg bone shapes, they have a fusion of tail vertebrae called the pygostyle. Fusion of bones imply unfusion in an ancestor. Birds share most of their DNA with Crocodilians which are the only other archosaurs left. This makes sense because dinosaurs were archosaurs so birds would also be archosaurs. If you think birds aren't dinosaurs, you're either lying to yourself or just plain ignorant of paleontology, biology and genetics.

    I tend to respect most forms of surviving; it's a hard world and we must bring food to the table. This gentleman has chosen to swift from engineering to giving talks about the Bible. And through these talks, he tries to diminish Science (for some reason) in front of people who, at best, have read some parts of the Bible. And I say "at best" because reading the Bible every night doesn't make you a Christian. Reading, reflecting, discussing the passages you don't understand... That's what most people don't do. So this gentleman does it for them. Why? I don't know. He should be encouraging an active reading of the Bible, I'd say. Me, I don't care at all if the dates match, or if the Flintstones are historically accurate... God wants us to understand. Think about Noah's ark. In Gen, 6, 13-14. God says: "as far as I'm concerned, this is the end for all creatures; by their fault the Earth is full with violence" But, what about free will? You gave us free will, and every time we exercise it, we get punished. Why? And think about the Ark itself: Gen 6, 15-17 "[ ] it'll be three hundred cubits long, fifty cubits wide and thirty cubits high" (a cubit being the distance from the elbow to the hand, some 20") Then He goes on saying there should be one window, one door and "lower, second and third stories". So, let's do the math: 20" x 30 = 600"; 600" / 3 = 200"; 200" = 50 ft. So, assuming the stories were to be equal, you must fit a few dinosaurs (and the other animals, and the spaces for Noah's family, the supplies...) in three rooms 50 ft. high, 500 ft. long and 84 ft. wide each. Good luck with that!
