    Great video. Only thing I have to add is they now start new drivers at .52cpm, not .60

    I really like your videos! You are very honest with your experience with Melton. This is just a recommendation or just a suggestion. Melton does have a driver referral program. I think it would be advantageous for you to put your code or referral link in your description. I think that since you are taking the time to inform people about Melton, and your satisfaction with the company, they might want to work for Melton as well. Your videos could help generate additional income for you.

    @10:16 you said drop a comment to answer questions. Here's my question. Oh and I love your videos btw. They're very transparent and honest. I love that. Keep it up man. You definitely earned a new subscriber.
    My question is, well it's not really a question, more of a situation. I got my cdl last year in August, been had it for over a year now but as soon as I passed school and got my class A license, I found a job locally where I'm at and the opportunity just felt too good to pass up so I took the job. Job was with a super small llc, paid hourly, good money, home every night, hauled hazmat to customers in the city in class B, straight trucks. Bobtails and 4500s/5500s w/lift gate is all I drove for the past year in a half essentially. Was awesome. But unfortunately the business is not gonna make it, owner is giving up on it so time to move on. I have the cdl license but with no class A/OTR/flatbed experience. I'm looking into a solid company with decent trainers and that actually cares about their drivers. Melton is one of those carriers at the top of my lists. Just feel a little iffy about getting into a combination truck again. I might have to work on my backing, turning maneuvers, etc all over again since I haven't drove a class A vehicle since school. Would you say Melton is great as far as helping me out with the driving as well as teaching me any and everything I need to learn about my truck and the job again so I can be successful out there on the road instead of a F up? Lol. I just want to go to a company with decent trainers and that actually care about their drivers on the road because I research other companies, and there's so many mixed reviews about everything so I don't really know what to believe on the internet. But so far, Meltons one of the companies where I see the least amount of bad reviews or takes from people that actually work/worked for them.
    Oh and I'm also a military vet as well...also wanted to know are they a vet friendly company in your opinion? I know it's long but just trying to ask as many questions as possible to ensure if Meltons a solid fit for me. Thx. Hope to hear from ya soon. :)

    • @aKEPsoul
      @aKEPsoul  Год назад +1

      Dude I had an awesome trainer. I can’t speak for everyone, but I’ve heard great things about our training staff. The flatbed training you get is great foundation, but you’ll learn so much more on the road. There is a mentor program that you can call and get guidance.
      It’s vet friendly. I use my Gi bill to do an OJT program and get a BAH allowance every month. I’d 100% recommend Melton to any new driver that wants to do flatbed.

    I have VA Healthcare too. I would probably still sign up for the cheapest health insurance plan from Melton or whatever company you decide on in the future. You can get into an an accident and visit civilian ER, but if it’s not categorized as life threatening, you might have to pay the medical bills on your own. Also the VA tends to be minimal in how they handle things beyond primary care and bloodwork.

      You earn 1 day off for every week you are out at Melton. So if I stay out 3 weeks, I get 3 days off.
      They also had (May still have it I’m not sure) an incentive program in place were for every 3 weeks you stay out consecutively, you earn an extra ho time day OR you could cash out that day for 200 bucks.
      So if I stay out 12 weeks that’s 12 regular days. Plus 4 road warrior days.

      Went back and looked at it. So between taxes and my standard deductions, that’s about 300 bucks. I didn’t have much extra pay to that week.

      @loganlindsey300 Год назад +1

      @Kep on Truckin! but I thought gross pay doesn't include taxes taken out. So gross should be $1207 plus the 25 dollar extra pay which would be $1232 for the total gross pay for week 1. Was that a typo?.
