- Thank y’all for y’all’s patience with this video!! It’s finally here and I hope y’all enjoyed and it’s helpful for y’all !
i think youre doing great,im just grinning watching you, keep it up hand
I started Melton Truck Lines about the same time you started at ATS and you’ve made almost $10,000 more than me I need to come to a ATS
Flat bed is the way to go. I haul steel and i enjoy it. 🙂
Real talk. Thanks for the video showing folks that they'll do pretty well, but not $200k a year at a starter company.
I netted $50k while I was out OTR flatbed at a starter company in the full year I stayed there.
@@brewdog8568 $50k net (not "gross") is about $962/week, which seems about right for a first-year driver working for a big starter company, and for one who hustles. At least from all the folks I've talked to whom I believed to be for real.
$750 net a week works out to be $39k, and for that, I would not have done it.
This is for hauling general freight with no specialty, such as over-sized, glass, etc., and it's just my own experience.
Finally lol . That’s good I’m considering going with them when i get the experience
been waiting for this, plan on joinin them soon after I leave Werner
Working out of a starting otr company I made about 1k each week. Working with a flatbed company I can make around 1.5k while hauling less loads. Also the percentage pay isn't that bad. Though I wish my company had a cpm option like ats. But I also get to be home almost every week so. Gotta give and take I guess.
Which starter company & how much experience do they require?
@mr munoz which otr company
Which company was this? $1500 for flatbed sounds good
@@HabituaILineStepper PGT is the flatbed company. Right around now I’m making right around $1300/wk pretty consistently
@@DarrkMane CFI is the starter company
Yeah my son is quitting them this week no time at home not enough money for his time
I had to put my move to flatbed on hold. My blood pressure has gone up a concerning amount, so I'm staying with Werner for at least another 3 months so I have health insurance while I get this back under control.
you need to do some work and not just close doors. at least flatbeders do some physical activity
@@TheDriller100 oh I'm focusing right now on getting my BP down. Didn't close the door on that job, just had to put it on hold for a bit
Why did your blood pressure go up??
How’s Werner ?
@matethiustransport1374 Cut out alcohol, smoking, caffeine, too much sugar, too much salt, and walk. It will come down quick. Also fish oil everyday.
I've been here two months now on the lease side and today i told my dispatcher that i wanna go company
Do you not like the lease side? Only asking because I’m actually in orientation for it right now… would greatly appreciate the input.
There was a red ATS truck parked in the wal mart parking lot this morning. Now i remember where ive seen ats your channel
That's some great money
Facts
Bro ain’t no way specially if it’s flatbed I make 8k to 10k company driver
Appreciate the info bro! I’m a rookie driver with swift doing dry van and i’ve been netting just over/under 1k a week which is decent but still not enough in my eyes. I’ve been trying to figure out what other part of the industry to get into some better money and it looks like flatbedding is the way
Oh yeaaa just use swift to get experience and move on there is a lot more money to be made! 👍🏼
If you have more than year of experience in trucking my carrier XPO depending what state your in for me in Cali we a getting paid 37.15 and after 8hours time and a half is 55.34 an hour and if your doing linehual it’s 85CPM local and bring in home weekly 1200-1300 on slow weeks but you need all endorsement but A endorsement is not an issue with my company we are replacing all 10 speeds already home daily no OTR for shitty pay
@@cruz7391 dang bro for what company?
good vid brother.
Given that we had the same fleet manager and roughly the same time with the same experience our pay varies significantly.
I made less or more? 🤔
I guess we got our answer 🙃
How did you make 453 on 3 checks tho?
Did you work the whole week for them?
No I didn’t that’s when I took about a week or so off, it was either coming out of home time on a Friday or Saturday
@@210Truckiinn
Good man thanks for clarifying
Quick question , when you were training with ats did they make you go out with a trainer ? Or did they just train you at terminal location
No trainer once you finish orientation you good to go on your own
Thanks,Great content 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I thought you were going local ?
This a good company
I’m only at 3 months but I think when I hit 6 to see if ats will take me . Pretty good money, I thought they had a weekly minimum of like 1450 guaranteed
I’m still looking and yea they do but it’s only for the first 3 months I believe though get whatever you didn’t make the first week of the following months it’s a bit confusing
What company do you recommend after a year experience?
ATS 👍🏼
Are you lease purchase at ATS or company? How long are you out for?
I’m company and I used to stay out 2-3weeks
Does it slow down in the winter?
Yea just a bit
Why'd u leave them for Marten?
How much are they paying you per mile?
how much hometime was these paychecks?
what’s the cause for getting a weeks check in the $400s. is it due to home time or load pay? thanks
Yea it was home time 👍🏼
@@210Truckiinn do you got any info about the lease purchase program from ats
So I wonder why they let you pass through orientation but when I went there Last april the sent me home after 3 days. Anyways, I've since applied no less than 12 times since then, and I left wagner trucking the tuesday after memorial day because I was getting sicn and tired of the hostile work enviroment. Ive been driving for 7 years now.
Why did they send you home
32k for 4 months? Thats company money. Thats not op. I think i miss read the title.
with ats now that's company
How many miles a week
That’s excellent money bro! I started at Werner as well then moved to variant/usxpress and the difference is night and day! This definitely motivated me to move on to flat beds possibly with ats. I only have about 4 months otr experience tho. Do you think they would consider that enough experience?😅
Unfortunately they will require you to have at least 6 months experience brotha
You can come on over to Melton Truck lines! They treat you right ! 💯%!
How was the pay for Variant/USxpress ? can you make good money with the company, can you stay out for 6 to 8 weeks ⁉️
You can make more hauling fuel doing local
But it’s flammable
Do they hire new drivers straight out of CDL Training? 🤞🏾🤞🏾
Unfortunately not they require at least 6 months OTR
Are you still at ATS?
is it with your truck or company truck?
Company truck
Is this with truck leasing or just a driver
Just driver 👍🏼
How many much experience is needed to go to ats
6 months 👍🏼
How long were you at Werner before leaving the company? I start training for them from cdl school but want to break way and get back into flatbed. I’ve done hotshot for almost 2 years
I stayed for about 6 months I believe
@@210Truckiinn 10/4 thanks for the response keep trucking
flat to dry van is a false comparison. you can make same numbers doing dry van and not need to tarp and strap, Ive done it. Lanes, company and market. truth is as a driver most the time you are at the mercy of all 3.
Do you have to have experience to get in ats?
Yes u need 6 months OTR
i'll give you a job in midland, you can make 3500 a week and home weekly.
I’m interested!!
Where do I sign?
You still got that?
How often are you home?
Try to go home every 2 weeks
Are you not taking any home time
Oh i definitely am I go home every 2 weeks
You should do Tanker ‘s next u wont regret it & the pay is through the roof 💪🏾🏆
What company pays good
@@brandonhernandez3654 any tank driving job that offers 30-40% of what the truck gross is great for a company job , until u can stack ya cash & buy your own truck
Facts, I get paid 2300 a week, only sleep in the truck like twice and week and off weekends, only drive like 2000 miles a week tops. Tanker companies charge alot for there loads so there not starving and don't gotta run there employees into the ground. I love running tanker.
@Polywood Trucking Kruger does that. Those guys make a killing but they haul the serious, serious chemicals like straight acid lol
@@Ball.Daily11 never heard of em where are they based out of ?
How much they pay per Miles?
I was getting .60 cpm and or 28%
Is this company based out of SATX?
No it’s out of St. Cloud Minnesota
🙏🙏
So what’s the mileage your driving on average a week
Honestly it’s not much I only do about 2 loads a week
@@210Truckiinn hmm ok ok. Keep up the videos I’m getting my cdl soon and your channel my top 1 pick right now. 🙏🏿
Hey bro was the drug test a urine test or hair test
What state ATS located in??
Main office is in Minnesota
Does ats hire new truckers
You would have to have 6 months experience
Ain’t no way boy 28k in 4 months? You must be owner operator
Nope company driver but that was when freight was still good
@@210Truckiinn damn man I must be getting my CDL at the wrong time because at most I will only see $45k how it’s looking once I start
Is this otr?
Yes 👍🏼
I make that working at a warehouse
Good for you bud u doing something right then 👍🏼
what warehouse?
@lordspacedust7021 he got fired for showing up late to the warehouse 😂
Flatbed makes the money with ats not vans
You lease or cpm
CPM and percentage
Bro how many days you work a week if you don’t mind? I’m trying to get in the industry next year but I’m trying to do some comparisons with my current job
How many kilometres a week was that?
Honestly couldn’t tell you exactly I can’t remember but when I was there I never ran that many miles maybe like 2,500 miles
See how dirty mega carriers like Werner are lol.
Young kid and probably not there anymore
👍🏼
Is this company??
Yes company driver
Thats bad for even dry-van find some other company
Brah your not making money
What’s a better option?
Dudes trolling. While living at his grandparents basement
That's crab pay for a flatbed bro and not consistent checks
This sounds terrible
