Hi Feyisola!! My name is André I am a beginner in the event planning industry. I just wanted to ask. So when you say some planners charge a percentage of the clients budget ie: budget is 100,000 you charge 10% so that's 10,000 which now means the actual budget your working with for this client is now 90,000 ? And does that apply to flat rate as well? Do you just deduct that from the total budget or is that being paid separately? I hope this made sense. This episode says it aired 4 months ago. And lastly I love your podcast the episodes are are very informative, and insightful.
I'm glad you're enjoying the podcast! We loved producing it as a limited series and may be bringing it back soon! Yes 10% of $100,000 would leave $90,000 for other vendors which makes things simple. Also whether you choose flat or percentage, planning is part of the budget. Hope this helps!
