@@pugsleyoid1 I used mine once and sold it. People are forever losing there load with the Mosko's. Love there tank bag but they've got to greed now and are too expensive
Great Video... Wolfman is the way to go for me.. Enduro Bag Setup, Beta Mini Duffel, 2 water bottles, 1 Mini Rollie, and Pitkin Tent Pole Bag. 1999 KTM LC4 640 Enduro.
From what I can see in the video I would be sticking with the Mosko system. I like the idea of the beaver tail to hold down either a stinger or a duffle bag. I would look at a duffle that will fit your tent and then add the sleeping bag and other items in to long skinny dry bags.
I'd remove the tent poles from the tent bag and place them along one of the side bags. That'll reduce the tent bag length dramatically so it doesn't wobble from side to side.
I had the same opinions of my reckless 80 to begin. I used talc powder the first few times to help get the bags in and out, once they get dirt is has become better. But I still only fill the stuff sake ¾ then put in place and fill the rest.
Yeah good quality gear but just a bit awkward. I love having a duffel bag as well and it doesn't work as well with duffels Thanks for watching Regards Steve
@@dirtbikeadv I agree with your over engineered comments. I am looking at adding the Mosko back country duffle to me reckless 80 for more storage for a 2 up tour in South America next year.
@@directionoverland9397 Yeah love their duffels they look awesome but twice the price of similar gear here so I went with the Tusk Excursion and a ADV Worx duffel which I am really happy with and saved about $800. Where are you from?
@@dirtbikeadv I’ll check the duffles you mentioned. I’m from Aus, Melbourne, but working in Chile at the moment. Gonna buy a KTM 790 over here and go to Patagonia for 2 ½ month after xmas.
@@directionoverland9397 Yeah nice South America in general has a lot to offer in particular Patagonia looks awesome. I really rate the 790's not sure why the discontinued them. A bit lighter bike with fuel down low. The 890 are good but I would prefer the 790 variant. Great stuff.
Instead of the stinger 8, you can buy the stinger 22 which fits in the mosko 40 setup. Thatll give you 54L and can fit a bunch more. Not sure if your tent sticks are in the tent bag, but if you separate them you could put the sticks where the fuel goes in the side bags, and pack the tent component down even smaller.
would you recon that the mosko moto system would work on the Tenere 660, with original exhausts? Im considering to buy these bags but im a bit worried that they will thouch the exhausts... thanks mate!
Yeah I had a set of solid pannier racks on the 660 from Barrett Products. The Mosko R40's would touch the exhaust so if you were going to use them you would have to buy two heat shields I would think. You get one with the R40 kit but just order another. Given this is a touring bike I would probably go with a solid rack and standard panniers if it was me doing it again Regards Steve
I reckon Nerb made reference to getting the dry bags in and out of the Mosko being fiddly ? My last trip I used a 11L Giant Loop bladder strapped to my 50L duffle on the seat, I just butted up against it when it was full, might be worth a try👍
Yeah think I'm just going to put a duffel under the beaver tail and yeah the bladder can just sit at my back. Your sand riding improved over your time in the Little desert mate. First vid to last was a massive improvement Thanks for watching Regards Steve
Hi thank you for this video. the 40 L model is 14L X2 + 2LX2 + the 8 L bag IS a total of 40 L. I currently have ENDURISTAN BLIZZARD 12LX 2 panniers plus a 30L duffel bag. which gives a result superior to the RECKLESS 40L, more versatile. MOSKO should present a new intermediate system the 40 L is impractical and the 80 L too bulky. I think a RECKLESS 20LX2 + leave the two small 2LX2 pockets. and all without a bag. This would allow the customer to choose to take a bag adapted to their use and to remain at a contained price. thanks again. I finally ordered MINI POCKET 21 BROTHERS saddlebags all with options (it's ideal to measure. remains to check the solidity on my next motorcycle adventures) I currently have a YAMAHA 250 WR R and a YAMAHA T 700 Teneré since July 31, 2019. I am about to order an AJPR PR 7 to replace the T 700. See you soon
Hi Mate, Yeah love your thoughts and ideas. I have kept the Mosko Moto but like you it is far from perfect. I will not use the stinger 8 and simply put my tent and sleeping bag under the beaver tail. May even use a duffle bag on longer trips tied down with the beaver tail. Love versatility. Thanks for watching Regards Steve
No I have only sat it on the Sherco. It's really a bit big for a dirt bike I reckon. Possibly with a rack it might work like the type U can buy for the KTM 500's.
@@dirtbikeadv thanks. That's workable. Ideally I want a tower too and there's just so little in the way of aftermarket products for the sherco. My 300sef is a great enduro and I'd happily but the 500 if I could get the bits I need

You can also replace the rear bag with a kriega 40 litre tail pack for longer camping trips. It works well

Buy a tent pole bag and pack your steaks and poles in the pannier. Take your tent and fly and stuff it with your sleeping bag.
