How have you been? Today is Monday and Seoul is getting hot again today! Let's walk around Jongno, Seoul, watching the sunrise on Sunday morning. You can see a deserted and peaceful city in the video. I'lll try to show various kinds of videos for you guys.

Jongno (literally "Bell Street") is a trunk road and one of the oldest major east-west thoroughfares in Seoul, South Korea. Jongno connects Gwanghwamun Plaza to Dongdaemun.
The area surrounding Jongno is a part of Downtown Seoul and one of the most prominent cultural, historical, and financial areas. Many important landmarks are located along its length, including the Bigak pavilion at Sejongno, the Bosingak belfry (hence the street's name), Tapgol Park (Pagoda Park), the Jongmyo royal ancestral shrine, and the Dongdaemun (Great East Gate). Seoul Subway Line 1 passes under Jongno. The western end of Jongno is serviced by Gwanghwamun Station (Seoul Subway Line 5), and Jongno 3-ga Station is serviced by Subway Lines 1, 3, and 5. Because of the multitude of shops, stores, and groceries along the area, the word "Jongno" is often used in the Korean language to express "Town Square."

Seoul Plaza is for me really special. Everytime I go to Korea, I have to go there as soon as possible. Something interesting is happening there every time. And thanks to that, I realized during my first visit of Seoul in 2017, that I really love Korea not only for its culture, but also for all really kind people living there... I can't wait to be there once again...

Because of the day of the week, Sunday and early morning, there was hardly any traffic on the road and a few people on the streets, this gave us the opportunity to have clear view of places and buildings. We had a good perspective of this part of Seoul.

Hi Nathan ! I work in Korea for a year, involved with the US Military Projects as an Architect.
Now, my mornings are spent watching your videos while having breakfast.
I get to see Korea's Architectural growth and appreciate all the beauty of it all.
Nathan always seems to find interesting places to walk. So many different types of architecture and designs in one area and yet nothing seems out of place. If I lived in Seoul my hobby would be just walking around. Love coffee houses so that's a huge plus.

Hello Nathan. thank you so much for this outstanding walk through Jongno-gu starting in Samcheong-dong. It was awesome seeing the quiet areas of Samcheong-dong and arrive in one of the areas you like around Cheonggyecheon stream. Thank you also for the egrets standing in the very lively stream. I liked the symbolism of it. The area is much more quiet than on week-days when it is thriving. Seoul Station is such a hub and the skywalk is great. I'm grateful for the time you take to show the city around. Have a nice week.

I remember walking here, it’s at seoul station, such a nice walk with those plants and trees, at that time someone was playing the piano there, so relaxing, a special peaceful place within a crowded place;the station, near Namdaemun and Myeongdong 💜
