Ive ridden my motorcyle around Ireland, and you have stunning veiws as well , and i llive in the hawke bay. As for the old cars you saw !well they arent old in Kiwi terms. Thats a modern motor.
The shells are evidence of the push or tilt of the land which created the peaks, not the sea level. The sheer cliffs on one side and gentler slope on the other show the break where the land has pushed up. Concentrations of shells can be found inland of the coast because they are "middens", i.e. dumps where harvested and eaten shellfish end up.

Hello just a quick question do you need paper proof of your birth certificate for entry at immigration or at the bank for proof of id. Or will your passport be enough as I'm currently in Australia and can't get my hand on paper proof.

Your passport is more then enough to enter the country. you haven't really enclosed how your entering though? did you get a working holiday visa? or for tourist purposes? Basically, when we entered the country we went through an electric gate and scanned my passport and went straight through. we already had our 1year working holiday visa though so must be already on the system and no further checks were done. for a bank, you basically need proof of address in New Zealand plus your passport to open a bank account.
