Can you do one for Diamond? I clawed my way to Diamond last split, played a couple of games and oh my F'ing god it got sweaty fast xD I thought people were decently hard to kill in Plat, but Diamond really is the grown up league, just a different level on everything :P
Great suggestion. The content is super informing and for someone like myself that is a novice I’d really benefit from knowing what people like me do wrong.
This is great. Would also be cool if you analyzed some submissions because it'd be more accurate of the average player instead of a good one so we could see what they're doing wrong and the alternatives/better plays that were available or optimal that you would have taken or recommended. How your mindset is different from the analyzed player. Idk how to explain it well lol
Yeah, tbf the amount of times he ego pushes and beams people is impressive but will become useless at a certain point. Which I'm sure he knows, but it doesn't help if you want to see a good example of ring awareness and strategic play.
if you open ur ears he literally said their either cheating OR just really good for being in silver. its extremely unlikely to run into someone that good in silver especially cause im pretty sure this was in the middle of a split too. obv coulda been a fluke but insta turning around and hitting every single bullet on someone actively moving around and crouch spamming isnt something a silver player could do. theres also more evidence to support them being a cheater cause the octane did like 50 dmg to them and they decided to not push the wraith whom they cracked and only had blue shield even if they did pop a bat and a medkit fast enough...so literally everything they did suggest their ur typical silver player (pretty ass) but their aim was cracked as fuck right there. (rlly the main thing you use cheats to help with).
Ottr: i started to think the ash was a cheater or... Ottr's mind: dont say controller dont say controller! Ottr: really good silver player Ottr's mind: Nice
He goes Ash aim probly cheating because his aim is good for silver Meaning there is a different level for each player skill at Ash was good for silver.
This is awesome. Unironically wish more people watched this and learned from it, especially the Octane mains. There are so many ways your speed and your pads can be really strong tools to help your teammates instead of just using them to help yourself pop off
I am happy I got to gold and I have been playing more trios and just pushing each time and trying to learn from my mistakes...feeling better and much more confident and I have also started playing valk which I am seeing me being able to push more, might try octane as well to try imitate this but I agree. The more you push the more you learn the better you get
Good decision making will carry you far and it's a lot easier than being good at aiming (which you still need but it takes more time). The first step in knowing what is a good decision is to know what your weaknesses are (and know that no one is blaming you for having weaknesses because we all have them), and steer clear of what is a problem area for you. Or, have team mates that can cover you in those times.
Not just silver. From Bronze to Plat people are simply scared to push and would rather stay away even if they have 1 knock or crack 2. But that's how it is when boosting is so easy in this game. They will either rat just run around in circles avoiding any fighting until the endgame or have a player in their team that pops off and carries them.
I'll have two knocks and the third flesh before getting knocked and I don't know how many times my teammates have turned tail despite having full everything still.
I'm currently solo to D2 first time properly playing ranked since like season 5 or 6, solo to diamond was an absolute breeze but I'm slowly fizzling out now, can't be arsed to hop on for another match with teammates hell bent on diving head first back to D4.
I don’t really play fps games and when i do it’s only casually but this is a good video. You pointed out a lot of mistakes that i didn’t realize i make in apex so thank you.
As someone who just started back ranked, I can’t agree with you more on silver and also bronze players. I can’t tell you how many times we will knock one or two and instead of pushing and finishing they will either not push or completely run away. Most of the games I lose with randoms in ranked almost always comes down to my team wanting to camp and play safe while the other team is super aggressive. And as soon as the other team pushes my teammates out of their cover they completely freak out.
What you said at the end frustrates me so much when team mates don't take advantage of openings then everyone dies because they have time to reset but nice video mate
@7:56 same thing happened to me in a few fights. I try to pick up armor. Doesn't happen. I try to switch weapons, or switch to my ult by pressing the button. Nothing happens. Taught I was the only one.
Classic example of why I hate Octane as a solo third in my lobby. They engage fights and you scramble over to assist and then get caught in their shit. Meanwhile they just stim or jump pad away in a location that's only useful to them and just leave you to 1 or 2 v 3 while they "reset" which is exactly what happened to the teammates in this lobby
No it wouldn't. He used his team as bait to flex in silver. This wouldn't work in higher ranks at all because they would know to capitalize. If it wasn't for wraith. (The same person he allowed to pretty much use as bait and die.) This would have been a loss. There were so many mistakes made but its silver so nobody was able to capitalize and prove how bad they actually were.
@@closeenough1343 I'm talking about what was actually said . Not the gameplay . Him talking about rotating , positioning , suppressing fire and shit . Those are still good things to keep in mind no matter what rank. Maybe it doesn't apply to u ?

Ottr, I think the ash was expecting it to be a full 3 man team, since you absolutely beamed their teammates, so probably didn’t push thinking it was a 1v2 still
Sad to see the same gameplay Ash does even in Gold tbh. I've had games where there's 1 down, 2 cracked and my team being too scared to push when we have shields still. Sadly, I'm not good enough yet to 2v1 even with a shield lol. Edit: This was a really informative vid on what to do at certain situations and positioning. Appreciate the work, man
An Idea for videos, let users submit gameplay vod's and review where the mistakes are. Often I get into disagreements on my team about what we 'should' have done instead, and as much as I try to see it from their pov, there are still those times when it would be really nice to have a much higher caliber player come in and say "You should have done this, here is why"
Most people can see and learn from mistakes by recording gameplay, you don’t need an external source to point out mistakes unless you just started playing. Nonetheless very valid points.
Any tips for platinum rank? first time getting my platinum rank this season and Its hard to me to get rp to rank up. Got overwhelmed by players in plat lmao (btw I solo bronze to plat) dont know if its a big achievement, but it is for me :3
Not that you asked me, but I saw your comment and I solo Q through Plat after a few seasons of playing now. My biggest advice is to win any 1v1 you get into. If you can knock someone, even if your teammates are super passive, you have an advantage. So approaching a fight and singling out a player you can do high Dmg or knock is my best advice. Also if you’re playing Solo without coms and 1v1s turn into 2v1s, I would say a good mindset is getting into a fight and intentionally shooting the same player your teammates shoot first. Play for damage, get cracks, and knocks will come naturally.
Can we recognize that there are no head glitches in apex, it isn’t call of duty. They’re shooting from a defiladed position showing minimal silhouette. We could just say “defiladed”
Silver lobbies will always have teams that never commit to their fight. This is pretty true and a reason why some never see Plat/Diamond. I can't get out of diamond to save my life 😭 lobbies are to sweaty
Made it to diamond solo Q, now im just stuck no matter what i do...constantly joining randoms who rather hot drop and die or theyre just not that good... feels bad man
I was 3 times almost D4 and failed to reach cause my teammates dont coorporate. Idk i feel like on soloq u just have to go for a legend that has a lot of potential for solo plays and not for team plays
Maybe they need to get rid of shield cells and shield batteries and just let the shield auto refill after a few seconds of taking no damage like in some other games. Popping shields stops the combat for too long at times. It is supposed to be a combat game.
It’s fear of losing is why people don’t push cuz they use to push and it went good but then they started running into people of their skill level and they couldn’t handle it
I know you are pc. I am console. I struggle to get to masters when I play with my friends (closest I have been is D1) and I solo queued. This season I got over my fear of starting ranked early and hit D4 within 1 week. Is solo que easier or?
The finish is a bad idea in some cases because I tricked someone into trying to finish a kill and they got themselves killed don’t always go for the finish
Pro players usually play with other pro players. I bet that ash was getting lasered so bad, plus the teammates getting one clipped, she was afraid to push your wraith because she probably thought she was also a pro. So she wanted that reset. Her mistake was not pushing the wraith not knowing she already knocked the pro. She hesitated and it cost her the game.
