@@TimProVision i am trying this reverse slide on pc and i am having a hard time with it. if i turn around fast or slow it still wants to slide me in the direction i am facing, what am i doing wrong?
Heal peeking is also great if you've got people that you think are going to push you while you are healing. If they take the bait they will try and shoot at you rather than close the gap which will give you more time to get that heal off. I feel like I see faide use this very effectively.
Yeah but like doesn't that only work if you time it because if that team wasn't planning on pushing you and they see you peek then they might start pushing at that point don't even peek again only works if you time it right and know they’re pushing you
this was helpful. I should've tried slide jumping, but without jumping off of a skyscraper's wall over a giant robot my titan veteran ass couldn't conjure _only_ slide jumping.
I’m sure someone may have said this already but just in case for Pc players you can put your scroll up or down as jump to be able to zipline jump just try not to scroll too fast or it won’t register. I THINK this can also be good for bunny hopping if you are on pc
Honestly, movement as won me SOOOOO many fights. Tbh I have way better movement than I do aim. Movement is so overlooked by many. Keep it up Tim, I love the vids ❤️🙏
Coming from R6 siege and destiny where the movement isn’t as crucial, I’m struggling to keep up with the competition here and it hit really quickly that I’m not moving the same as everyone I engage with. This has been super helpful, I’m probably going to be referencing this vid allot in the coming months. I’ve set my sights on becoming cracked! I want to slay like the rest of them! I’M GOING TO BE A CHAMPION SOME DAY!!! For real though thanks for vid it helps noobs like me out allot! Take my sub.
Bunny hopping is soooo cool! I definitely need to check it out now. I'll probably forget everything in this video when in an actual fight, but it was cool nonetheless. Thanks for the tips!
i’ve actually learned a lot of this stuff just by watching the algs split one, so if you wanna be able to watch these things in game for long periods of time definitely watch those :)
Great video, please keep making videos like this they helped me very much getting better at this game. I do have one question though, at what distance to the enemy should I start hipfiring? Would be great if you could answer and thanks for all the great content!
Catching up on this, sorry I'm late! For the most part, hip fire depends on the gun but usually like 5-7M can be pretty viable, even if it feels like they are too far.
I love how I figured out bunny hopping organically before almost all the other stuff here. I'm good at bunny hopping and bad at everything else on this list.
Another tip for wall jumping, you don’t need to release the joy stick on console, you can also just redirect it after you jump off the wall, make sure when you jump that the joystick is pointing backwards
Tap strafing is probably the most important advanced movement in apex, and at the time of when you posted this video, the devs already said it's not going anywhere. Not like it could go anywhere, tap strafing is a quirk of the source engine that apex is built on. You really should have covered this.
@@TimProVision i have one more small question. What sensitivity you do you use on your controller? In your videos you seem to flick almost as fast as on mouse, and my aim is literally slow as snail.
I have Auto Sprint (Which is fine for 90% of situations which is why its on) on but I wish there was a Keybind to temporary disable it to allow me to jog, not have to crouch walk lol
You should show maters lobbies to show how important these techniques are. How people who do the basics correctly are hard to push, how different techniques can allow you can 1 v 3 teams even at that level (pathfinder's crazy movement). I think a lot of players don't realize how important doing little movement tricks ALL THE TIME is.
I don't have paddles and I feel like I've gained to much muscle memory to switch to evolved so I just learned to bunny hop with default button layout. I really wish I had changed my settings earlier on.
Also If you do a slide into a reverse slide you can easily break your opponents camera They will either get lost in sensitivity or they're tactical slow sensitivity ends up being the death of em
Bro listen to this man about putting your guns away. I’ve heard him hammer that home like 5-6 times to really understand how crucial this is and how often you need to do it. I now holster my weapons literally any time I’m sprinting anywhere unless I know for sure an enemy is about to push me or something. Closing the gap is so huge in this game and you can never be too comfortable with doing this is Apex. If you don’t think you need to work on this, I suggest you record yourself and watch yourself play and see if you really where holstering your weapons as much as you could have been especially in fights and if/when it could have made a difference
Also dude you are not hammering this home too hard, I had to hear this over and over again to get to the level that I am comfortable with now in doing this and I never die from it or anything. Take it from me, I started playing at the end of season 9 and I was able to solo to diamond in season 11. It’s channels like Tim’s that helped me get better as fast as I did especially since I’m not a naturally cracked gamer. Even the smallest things make a huge difference.
Also I did not know the super glide thing about it being harder on higher frames. It makes a ton of sense though because I play on console and can super glide extremely easily by pressing my crouch and jump paddles at the same time but my friend who plays on PC with very high frames literally can’t figure out how to do it and I didn’t understand why it was so hard for him when it’s so simple for a console nerd like me
I'm no movement player but I can safely say you can B-hop on controller without having crouch on hold or paddles (I think). I just recently learned how to bunny hop without really thinking about it, and all I have changed in terms of controls is crouch on right stick. All you have to do is press right stick just after you jumped, and once you get the hang of it you should be able to bunny hop pretty effectively...
@@shanashhenry7078 if your crouch is set to the stick then this is harder but basically you are just going to have to alternate back and forth between crouch and jump. You'll get the timing down for how fast you should spam the two with some practice in firing range. If you need more help lmk maybe I can record a tutorial or something like that.
@@shanashhenry7078 you really just have to press crouch instantly after each jump. A good indicator to know whether or not you're doing it right is to look at your weapon : basically your weapon's position changes if you are crouched or standing, and it also happens midair (you can easily see it by taking a jumpad while running or sliding) ; if you b-hop well your weapon should always stay in it's "crouched position", meaning your character itself is always crouching and your b-hop is optimised
I feel like we are playing completely different games. How do you hit people consistently? I can see that I hit my enemies, but it doesn't make any damage and I take damage before I get in line of side with an enemy. This has become unbelievable frustrating.

Omg, The reverse slide is sooooo good, I barely see ppl talk about it but when I use it in fights I become so much harder to hit.
