Not trying to spoil or anything, but based on what reviewers have been saying, this is not a trilogy, a 4th movie is extremely likely.
The first Matrix film is the only good one. The other two are convoluted, CGI horse shit.

@Gerry Buckets - Keanu Reeves said in an interview (about continuing on after Parabellum) that he wants John WIck to end at its peak and not keep going until it becomes a sad parody of itself like a lot of sequels. I will be surprised if there is anything after chapter 4.

the first movie is about a couple days alone, then it is unknown how long it took Aurelio to track down his mustang at the beginning of the second movie could have been a couple of more days... but yes i caught how characters in the third movie mention that the three movies happened in a course of the last couple of weeks with the third one starting RIGHT after the end of the second one.

It's long enough when you DON'T go into it focusing on the choreography. Don't bore the shit out of yourself doing so. Of course, this comment would only be necessary if we assumed that the film was going to be viewed by a crap-ton of people who had not seen either of the previous films.

The movie was hot garbage. The acting was terrible, the writing was terrible, and everything was so far over the top people in the theater were just openly heckling the movie.

Yeah I'm not trying to be mean or come across as a dick but it was honestly my least favorite part of the movie. It really felt simply to show off the dog action which is fine, however, I feel as if her whole section of the movie could have been taken out of the movie. Even meeting the elder. I feel as if all of that could have been done either faster, or just in New York, or incorporated more through John's back story. And don't burn me at the stake, but in my opinion Halle Berry's scenes should have stuck strictly to shooting. The whole man handling of dudes is something that is hard to come across as realistic in the filming. I feel once people watch it again not from a entertainment standpoint, which it IS entertaining and I'm not saying it isn't, but watching just to look at it all it does look sloppy. Just my two cents. IMO 9/10. I still think the first is the best.

You know what the best part of this is? Keanu is allegedly a cool ass person. A kind genuinely humble man and even though I don't know that for a fact, he still represents pure goodness to me

While I loved this film, I completely agree with the point of no one reacting when someone dies in public.
It is that world. It is ultraviolent all the time for those who are in that world. Non-combatants are off limits. It is definitely not this world.
Yeah i just rationalized it in my head that in the john wick universe everyone is just so used to the violence in public that they dont even flinch anymore. Or something like that lol
YAH21 I agree with these last two comments here, and with someone else that said it was like a “Twilight Zone” type of world. It’s like John and all the assassins have their own kind of dimension around the public, when they’re active. I didn’t even really pay much attention to the public’s non reactions to all the fighting and killing in the film, till I came online and read people commenting about it.
I was too immersed into what John was getting into and his survival techniques to notice. Maybe there’s just this mutual understanding among the public in that world, that these assassin killings happen, and just go about your business and you’ll be fine.. Maybe at least some of all that is what’s happening.
I didn't catch it but my friend did. A couple times when someone dies their bodies get carried off in a way that looks like they're helping a drunk walk. I think only when John killed someone in the open did a bossy hit the floor in public. I'm gonna watch it again to make sure.

The "decision" he made to turn around and say f#%k it makes sense. You have to take into consideration what he was tasked to do and the obscure connection Wick has with that character. It also leads to a "twist" that expands the ending...
Also if he didn't make that decision in the desert he would've died on the spot... So it kind of was an ultimatum. When Winston presented him an alternative he took it

The knife shop, Casablanca and display room scenes were my favourites. I especially appreciated the display room scene near the end because it relies almost solely on hand to hand combat John got the shit beaten out of him, he’s human which is why it was so satisfying when he came out of it.
The avengers should have recruited John Wick instead of Captain Marvel. Lol!

I love the throws and the fact they are repeated because they establish John's style. When he visits that place in the third movie we understand why they are such a big part of his style.
I like that John has a solid foundation in his hand to hand moves and gunplay and then he improvises depending on where and who he's fighting. (One word: library.)
I think he was referring more to the goons "throwing" the fight, so to say. The wide shots make it clear that there are a lot of people standing around not doing a lot when they easily could have got a hit or two in on Wick when he's preoccupied with someone else

If he keeps relying on one type of movement, then eventually an enemy will catch on and use it against him

It's a world where everybody and their moms are secretly assassins for hire who gets notifications when John received the 14 M bounty.
It's an exaggeration in the movie, but it is something like that in NYC. If you stopped to look at every crazy thing happening then you wouldn't get anywhere. There was some kind of bomb threat or shooting in the subway a few years ago, you can see people just walking around like nothing happend. Most people don't bother celebrities either. I saw Michael K Williams in bk few weeks ago, he was just shopping and no one except the people working there talked to him. Just to add one more thing, no one here even brings up 9/11, it's talked about way more in the national news. It's like it never happend. Except for the people who lost family members ofcourse and all the first responders who got lung cancer. Other than that, no one seems to care that this thing happen. So strange.

I have no idea why Hale Berry lost her shit so much over the dog NOT BEING dead and she even berated John before about how going crazy because of a dog wasn't a great idea.
Nice observation about the cops, the only one we've seen was in the first and second movie and he was basically completely fine with seeing dozens of bodies in John Wick house.
I think just like real life they only care about small time crooks, mercenaries killers and the equivalent of the super mafia is above what the normal police can handle. Hell the high table probably owns the police.

In general, I would actually like the movies to be a bit more believable. I love the action sequences, but sometimes I'm just not buying it and it pulls me out of the immersion.

Uh, that's not what he meant by throws... Throws are when extras in fight scenes "throw the fight" like they intentionally don't hit the main character or intentionally wait for the main character to become ready to react. Like when you watch fight scenes where one character fights multiple people and you see the other people in the background dancing around or throw these really slow and easily dodged or countered hits, those are what we movie people mean when we say "throws."

The Sahara Desert scene is definitely your go pee or refill moment. Nonetheless, without that scene or his decision there would be no Part 4.

Bryan Cooper no. Hands down a huge step down from the first 2. The story was utterly cliche and mediocre. The story felt so rushed and no way near the polish of the first two.

Always dope to see Yayan Ruhian "Mad Dog" from The Raid 1 in more movies. As well as seeing the villain from the kitchen fight from Raid 2.

if we are talking just the fight scenes they up the wow factor with each installment. Storywise...wasn't a fan of 3. The part where Chris mentioned the change of mind really was the point I went ok what da hell man?

The fact that everyone is an assassin is really interesting to me because it’s like having a 2nd life, you can go about normal life having a daily job but if your friend has a bounty on their head you can get some extra money. It’s like the 2nd life is just a bit of fun but then there are people (like Wick) who take it serious and get into the dirty work
Fans of Raid and Raid 2 movie should be really excited during the final showdown.

I think 1 is the best in terms of introducing what the world of John Wick is like and who he is and his ultimate motivation, as well as the pacing and action scenes... but for me personally, so far this movie is my favorite. I really enjoyed how he went outside of the city more, Casablanca, as well as this movie introducing a lot more of the underground organization "High Table" stuff. The introduction of the Adjudicator was one of my favorite parts of this movie as it shows just how violent and powerful the High Table and its members can be. I loved how Winston and John speak with each other near the end of the film, showing the audience that they really value each other as allies after John makes "the decision". I felt that this movie had way more interesting and diverse use of weaponry, environments, and vehicles in its action scenes like horses, antique guns and bladed weapons, trained attack dogs etc.. Hands down my favorite entry so far, and here's to hoping it gets even better as it looks like John is going to be a reaper from the "dead" out on revenge 🤞
