I'm attempting to sync my new iphone with the doorbell. So I have to remove the device from the wall in 24 degree temperatures to do this? What happened to holding the phone near the device and ring the doorbell?
Hi Tom, Thank you for the set up help. Able to use my iPhone now with my Ring. Side question: are your countertops in the video Terrazzo, or Quartz? Sorry to inject that, off topic question.
Ok I have the same doorbell. I’m having issues connecting to Wi-Fi. Doesn’t allow me to put in Wi-Fi password. Can you help. I’ve tried everything else.
To set up the Ring Doorbell app on your phone, follow these steps: 1. Download the Ring App • For iPhone: Open the App Store, search for “Ring - Always Home,” and download it. • For Android: Open the Google Play Store, search for “Ring - Always Home,” and download it. 2. Create or Log In to Your Ring Account • Open the app and tap “Create Account” if you’re new, or log in if you already have an account. • Follow the prompts to enter your email address, create a password, and verify your account. 3. Set Up Your Ring Device • Tap “Set Up a Device” on the app’s main screen. • Choose “Doorbells” from the list of devices. • Follow the on-screen instructions to select your location and name your device (e.g., “Front Door”). 4. Power and Connect Your Doorbell • Battery-Powered Doorbell: Ensure the battery is charged. • Wired Doorbell: Ensure it’s connected to power as per the installation instructions. 5. Connect to Wi-Fi • The app will guide you to connect your Ring Doorbell to your home Wi-Fi. • Ensure your phone is on the same Wi-Fi network and near the doorbell during this step. 6. Test the Device • Once connected, test the video feed and the doorbell chime through the app. 7. Customize Settings • Set motion detection zones, adjust notification preferences, and review privacy settings in the app. If you encounter any issues, check the Ring website for troubleshooting guides or contact Ring support.
I hope nothing goes awry with your new toy. Thank you for a good video! The Customer help workers at RING have an average IQ in the mid double digits. They talk and talk and never listen. If you have a wired network that the ring doorbell is connected and powered thru do you still need to connect to wifi?
Yes, you need to connect it so that you can use it on your phone
Can I use it even if I’m not home is it going to ring on the app ?
Yes, you can view your home from your phone when you’re away
