This arrangement is absolutely magnificent. Interesting that he did two in a row (Don't Mess Aroound With Jim) where the audience expected the wrong person to die.
I heard it first back in 1962 or so when my mom remarried and our adopted dad let me play his albums on the stereo. Marty Robbins was one of those and he wrote and sang this. Geoff sure as heck does a great job with this one.
You should check out Huldra Draco's line by line comparison of the original Marty Robbin's song and Geoff's updated version. You hear the added verses and bridges! Quite enjoyable!
Oh, that we're aware! Just that for folks like me who don't normally listen to country, our first exposure to Big Iron was through the Fallout: New Vegas game. 💥
After much requesting, Geoff finally made a full version of this song! 🤯💥
This song is iconic because it came out in 1959 and went gold almost immediately . Sung by Marty Robins

You're right! I honestly forgot that in Big Iron, the good guy wins 😄
Geoff: "Sorry, Goff, Jeff, Jeoff and Daryl...*I* get the comfy chair!" 💙

That's such a wholesome story! The 60s was truly one of the best decades for music! (I've been on a Beatles kick recently😆)
Such a great cover, and another excellent example of Geoff jazzing up simple songs with fun bridges! 🤯

I have loved this song since I was a girl. My parents had Marty Robbins records and I played them often.
That's awesome! Love it when today's artists cover songs from our childhood 😊
I had a hunch you would love this!
How could we not? 😄
Loved your commentary. Geoff's a treasure 😊
He truly is! 💎💎💎
Second comment! I love your reactions so much, (and I ALSO love VoicePlay and Geoff!) I love Geoff's cover of this song so much! :D
We love that you love our reactions too! 🥰
Thanks!🤯
Likewise!! 🤯💥
Listen to Marty Robbins!
Big Iron has nothing to do with Fallout, it was Written by singer/song writer Marty Robins in 1959 and covered by bands throughout history
