Another cover of this song that you may enjoy is by Feuerschwanz, a German folk metal band. Their version is more uptempo, and they add fiddle and bagpipes to the normal metal instruments. Their original songs are normally in German, but they do lots of covers, mainly in English.
Yes, Geoff's newest cover of "Big Iron" really shows off his range and smoothness of his voice. I think his best show of his range is in Voice Play's Little Mermaid Medley; where he plays Ursula. He does a great job in VP's Hellfire from the Hunchback of Notre Dame. And, of course his solo cover of the Sound of Silence.
