I replaced the stock resonator with a Vibrant Performance Ultra Quiet Resonator. Made a big difference in tone and sorted out all the drone I was experiencing.
Did you already have the muffler deleted when you put that resonator on?
I replaced the muffler with a Flowmaster FX 71416 muffler. Deleted 2nd cats. Sounds perfect now.
But when I had just the flowmaster and stock resonator it drowned really bad. Since the Vibrant Performance Ultra Quiet being fitted it smoothed it all out and no drone

I had a C32 and removing the resonator does barely anything for sound and will probably do more harm than good because frequencies they cancel out are going to be even worse with long tubes and that’s especially bad being your daily driver. Swap out the muffler with a C63 Muffler a good exhaust shop should be able to make it fit with some custom work (make yours truly unique) or replace the muffler with a vibrant ultra quiet resonator to get a deeper bass sound instead of your typical V6 rasp thats going to be even more prompt with having long tube headers.

Did you try the c63 mufflers on your when you had it? How was the sound difference from the stock c32 mufflers? Cause if I do that and there is no difference it would sink a little cause the c63 mufflers are expensive with the custom work to make it fit.
I was thinking removing the resonator let everyone hear how that sounds, and then trying a different sound with putting back the resonator and gutting out the stock muffler to see how that also sounds?
@@HeyboysGarage I haven’t no but everyone praises how good they sound on every other platform so I can’t imagine them being bad. That’s when AMG started making mufflers that actually sound good, The M113k mufflers were 👎🏾.
If you’re removing them for channel content why not but if it’s for sound you’ll be greatly disappointed.

Do the mufflers first. The resinator is there for the raspy sounds it give you your exhaust tome while the muffler whell its in the name it muffles the sound so its not too loud
That’s not a bad idea, I was thinking the same but leave the muffler and remove the inside material and weld it shut. That might bring out the tone?

Hey i have a clk 500,(btw i miss the clk content) but i was wondering what was your setup for the exhaust cause i only have a muffler delete and i feel like it can sound better
Depends what you are going for. You can leave the resonator and do a secondary cat delete and see how that sounds! I think you will like it
so do you think without the secondary cats it’ll give it a deeper tone cause i want it to be loud but not too loud

When you gonna throw it in the dyno? Im very curious about that top end, did the same and im anxious to see how my top end reacts to the LTH vs custom log styles that were killing my top end
Yeah I will be putting it in the dyno and see how the car does. The thumbnail I bet you it’s close to 30whp for the mod, supercharger responded very well. If anything it’s 20whp
