You should start a metal detecting class. You seem much more patient with people asking questions than most metal detectors I’ve ran into. I’d really love to get into the hobby, but just not sure where to start.
I teach people all the time. I don't charge, but we bring newbies along with us every once in a while. I'm always happy to get their settings dialed in and give them some pointers

Thank you! I mean zero disrespect when I say this, but its a very inexpensive machine that's on the verge of being considered a toy. It's a single frequency machine, so if you're anywhere near saltwater, it won't perform well. I'd highly suggest a machine from a reputable manufacturer(Nokta or Minelab) if you plan on going out with it regularly

I would like to have a metal detector to use in the water. I am a novice metal detectorist. What would you suggest? I want to find freaking pull tabs lol.

@@gioiahaviland1872 Ok. Id look into the Nokta Legend or a Minelab Equinox 700. They're the most cost effective machines that work well in saltwater. Unfortunately, the cheaper machines will drive you absolutely insane when you try to use them in or near saltwater
