Enjoy watching your sunny hunts. I am a Brit detectorist since '77. Many people watching this will not appreciate the long hours of finding nothing but trash and the perceverance it takes in order to strike the good stuff. (It looks so much easier than it is!) I detect the fields and forests around my home in Normandy now. (Beaches in Normandy come with hazards for obvious reasons. lol) My oldest silver is 100 B.C though the average age is 17th century. The oldest gold is also 100-ish B.C and most of my gold finds are 14th century hammered coins. Youngest gold is 1808. Age, like everything else, is relative. Good hunting. Nothing is better than a good signal. I am getting a bit older now so hunts are shorter....but it sure is hard to stop when the signals are good.

I think that most people don't realize that. I don't want to bore them with hours of me finding trash! 😂 I'll include a few pieces in each video, but I should probably start including the trash dump at the end

When we were kids we were in Florida when Hurricane Agnes came through - we found hundreds of .50 cal shells, spent .50 cal bullets, shell fragments (likely the copper you found), and it was a blast!

The bent quarter, a followup. 😎 I live where that bent quarter was dug and I just dug a bent quarter in about the same spot dated 1967. No corrosion on it. But lots of corrosion on most quarters here. Fresh drops have no corrosion, also any coin that was so deep in the sediment that no oxygen gets to it. No matter how old. So what was the date on the bent quarter?

Awesome! I use a GoPro mounted to an elastic head strap. I've used the cheaper head straps from amazon, but they don't hold up as well as the GoPro branded one. As far as editing goes, I use Adobe Premiere Pro. It's professional grade software, so it's very confusing and difficult to use when you start out. But I found that watching the RUclips tutorial videos on the software was a huge help. Even after editing 80 something videos, I still feel like a rookie!

@@ailynpages6236 That's awesome! The X-terra pro is an awesome machine for the money, but you'll be struggling in and near the saltwater. Its a machine better suited for land and freshwater only. I'm not saying that you can't use it near the saltwater, but expect the machine to perform erratically and give a lot of false signals. The numbers correspond to a metal or alloy. It gives an indication of what the item is before you dig it.
