      Dirty Loops will never win a Grammy...Society can’t comprehend music beyond blues music...Now and again one will slip thru the cracks that oozes musicality like Toto or Van Halen but pretty rare ...! How many Grammys have Toto won over the years...? The answer says it all.......
      The Grammys mean nothing in the real world of music.....!!

    I heard this song last night for the first time. My initial spontaneous reaction was tears. I was so blown away by the wonderful sound (great production), Jonah’s incredible vocals and Aron’s and Henrik’s extraordinary music.
    Here I am 12 hours later listening to this song for more than 10 times. What a beautiful song!

      JinJer is...especially Tatiana their lead vocalist who does what no other vocalist...male or female ...ever did. Check out their song "Pisces" and "Teacher, Teacher" and fall headlong into the Jinjer rabbit hole... (smile)

    Where have I been? Just heard these guys for the first time 3 days ago. Fantastic musicianship, incredible vocals, dynamic lyrics. I'm 60 years old and had almost given up on music. This gives me hope and filled me with JOY! Down the rabbit hole I go.

      I see Harry Connick Jr.´s son, Edward Norton´s son and Robert Downey Jr.´s son! 😂😂😂 These guys are beyond amazing! Best band I have ever heard...a melting pot of all the music I love and have loved in my 6-decade life!!! How in the world are they here now...when we need them most? And I agree, Jonah´s vocal range is off the charts! ❤

      Honestly, I´m pretty unsure about Jonahs voice. Saw a few live recordings, where he wasn´t able to hit the high notes clearly (instead, sounded flat on the recordings) or he didn´t sing them at all. I really don´t know how much Autotune is and how much hes really able to hit... (Nevertheless pretty amazing indeed..)

    Hearing this track is like the first time I ever heard 'Rosanna' by Toto: I knew immediately that these three guys sit amongst an elite group of the most insanely accomplished and talented artists to ever play together. Everything about this track is a masterclass in musicianship (emphasis on that word because it is sorely lacking today), song arrangement, mixing and production. I shall now go set fire to my keyboard and never play again. 😆🔥🔥🔥

      Funny you bring that up. In the song 'Next to you' Henrik brings Jeff Porcaro's signature Rosanna shuffle to the bass guitar. Truly amazing.

      Nope, they're very good musicians, way above many mainstream groups BUT I'm sure you know Tool, Snarky Puppy, Vulfpeck, Hiromi uehara's bands, TMV ... Just check "zildjian live !" videos and the various groups the band (ghost note) crew play in or the guests in their videos to remind that too many geniuses aren't famous.

    I've never seen a band sound so much like "one instrument". It is truly astounding. Everything is so in the pocket and yet there is still so much space and groove. Just brilliant.

      @@DavidAndishZambia sure is! I can't help myself but spread the word that everybody needs a better sound system or pair of headphones in their life. To the average person not too into audio but still into music, getting into an entry-level system might make you cry. For those interested in a budget solution, look into the Sony XM4 headphones. I bought them on black friday and the sound for their price is on another level.

    I've listened to Prince, MJ and Stevie for years...and the influence is obvious...But I've only just discovered one of the best bands...maybe ever...which is annoying I'm so late. Such a well crafted and beautiful song! Great songs are rare these days, even though some skillful musicians...when when it's combined like this...what a pleasure!

    As a musician myself, I can not get enough of this band. The three of them together are just soooo good on so many levels. Props to Jonah 3:30-3:42 ... I tried this myself while listening and driving in my car and blew out my vocal chords for 3 days!! Besides that I also ran out of breath after just 3 seconds! You guys are awesome!

      I read in an article that Henrik didn't use any mics on the cab on their first album, only DI and processing in post. Not sure if that still is true, but they surely don't use any of the mics in this video :)

      I worked at the same music school they all went to and the answer is that they were already at a high level before but they continued to work hard. I've never seen a band practice as much as they did. All genres and the fact that musicians these days can produce and mix their own music have probably made it difficult for many to see the essentials. The choices have become too many.

      My friends don't listen to metal. They think I'm insane lol. They don't listen to half of the stuff I do but mainstream sucks. If I'm driving on a road trip... I may be in a Soilwork mood, a Brotha Lynch Hung mood, Dirty Loops, Slightly Stoopid, The Wicked soundtrack, August Burns Red, maybe a little Josh Turner, Pentatonix, Nickel Creek, Fail Emotions, Erra, Joe Bonamossa, Terror, Boston, Eric Johnson.... I could go on for hours. Music is awesome, no matter the style. 🤘👍

    I am speechless listening to these guys. I am an awwww" the level of talents is 🤯🤯🤯 mind blowing. Note: The drummer is in a class by himself in turn of precision, groove in the pocket, he is jazz, r&b, rock, fusion. The vocalist is a trumpet player with his voice. The bass player is a version of Larry Gram and Larry Johnson. These 3 guys are unmatched.

    The drums on this slow jam are VERY daring. Aron likes to take risks lol... but makes it sound so relaxed. Perfect amount of tension. Not to mention how they all share the same rhythmic mind. Super tight track. I love the horns and chord changes underneath as well!!

    I grew up in a country where western music was not allowed, so my first encounter with a video on earth, a bohemian rhapsody by Quinn, and when you appeared, I knew that change was happening again.     This song reminds me of being a younger man, that feeling of wanting to do everything in your power to make a relationship work and just having it slip through your fingers. Took me a long time to realize you need to have that kind of love and respect for yourself first before you can extend it to another person.
    Take care of yourself as if you were someone you were responsible for looking after.

      @@michaelnielsen7782 I have to agree with that. The bass is lower here in the mix, when you compare this mixdown with others of Dirty Loops. It's just the song and the more chill pop ballad mix approach. So if you're accustomed to Hendriks sound at DL, you have to hear this song a bit more often to get the feeling of the total mix. Of course with decent gear :D Me personally would have put the bass a bit more forward in the final part of the song. The vocals have stopped then and you'd have some more music out of the beautiful bass melodies here at the end of the song.

    This band is beautiful and a true test to master musicianship this is what should be famous and on the radios around the world proof that the best is not always what's in the lime light my dad is a 40 year percussion master and I showed him the coffee break song the other day and he said that's the greatest thing hes heard in a really really long time

    I love everything you do, your songs give me so much joy and energy and i have a weak spot for these softer songs. I grew up with Toto and this is like a blend of all their best ballads from the 80:s & 90:s with that magic Dirty Loops touch sprinkled on top! One of your best ever!!
