Sound engineer......4th member of Dirty Loops....always ridiculously good.
Good point. I thought the first few bars a little muddled, then clarity burst through. Old half deaf uk duffer here :)
Absolutely
@@tim40gabby25 I got the CD and it sounds amazing in comparison
@@lorraineb682 thanks for the tip.. glad I found your reply as RUclips tells you there's a reply, with a thread, somewhere amongst hundreds of threads sometimes. I've introduced my kids to DL and Jacob - why not? :)
Absolutely perfect job! The guys just pop on!
Everyone crying about The Weeknd not getting a Grammy nomination. Where's Dirty Loops's nomination?
Y E S
Who cares about the grammys?
Dirty Loops will never win a Grammy...Society can’t comprehend music beyond blues music...Now and again one will slip thru the cracks that oozes musicality like Toto or Van Halen but pretty rare ...! How many Grammys have Toto won over the years...? The answer says it all.......
The Grammys mean nothing in the real world of music.....!!
@@soundsokok yeah but he’s a whinging whining little Pom that lives of arranging songs he’s never written...😜🤪 but he’s an absolute Genius 👍
@@jonocrawfs1381 actually he now writes more than covers, and dirty loops also started on covers so i don't know what point u going for
I'm 193 years old and this is the greatest music I've ever heard
I heard this song last night for the first time. My initial spontaneous reaction was tears. I was so blown away by the wonderful sound (great production), Jonah’s incredible vocals and Aron’s and Henrik’s extraordinary music.
Here I am 12 hours later listening to this song for more than 10 times. What a beautiful song!
I hear you. They are musicians musicians, so beautiful...
The MOST UNDERRATED band in the history of the planet earth.
yes i totally agree with you.
JinJer is...especially Tatiana their lead vocalist who does what no other vocalist...male or female ...ever did. Check out their song "Pisces" and "Teacher, Teacher" and fall headlong into the Jinjer rabbit hole... (smile)
no, thats fishbone
soo true
Hell yeah I agree
Out of millions of songs... my YT put this one in front of me... been browsing Dirty Loops for the last hour... I’M HOOKED!!!! What a band
I'm genuinely happy for you. The slow pace of their musical output (although totally worth the wait) can be difficult for long time listeners.
love it!!! work shit(it) out is my favorite song you HAVEEE to check it out
Your YT did you a great favor
the same happened to me!
Where have I been? Just heard these guys for the first time 3 days ago. Fantastic musicianship, incredible vocals, dynamic lyrics. I'm 60 years old and had almost given up on music. This gives me hope and filled me with JOY! Down the rabbit hole I go.
О, Робин!

Так же, только сегодня погрузилась в это совершенство, не знаю, как раньше без этого жила!
Это невероятно!

better now then never :-) enjoy !
@@ingebvander yes Sir!
so glad you found these 3 geniuses, welcome to the club of no return
I don't know why I always see Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, and Brian McKnight in Jonah. It's like he continues their mission in music. What an amazing vocal range that Jonah has. ❤️❤️❤️
Agreed!!!! He's beyond amazing!!
I see Harry Connick Jr.´s son, Edward Norton´s son and Robert Downey Jr.´s son! 😂😂😂 These guys are beyond amazing! Best band I have ever heard...a melting pot of all the music I love and have loved in my 6-decade life!!! How in the world are they here now...when we need them most? And I agree, Jonah´s vocal range is off the charts! ❤
Every once in a while I get a George Michael feel. I'd love to hear them loopify one of his songs.
He’s such an amazing vocalist that his incredible talent on the keys almost goes unnoticed.
He was discovered by Quincy Jones.
I hope im not the only one noticing that the credits portion in their vids are actually fun to read.
_"We know these credits suck, but we decided yesterday to upload this, we didn't have time to fly in the right people, so we had to make our own coffee, put on our own shoes and wash ourselves. Our manager Armando wasn't even here to cook for us."_
There's a 'Dirty talker' 😂
I decided to watch the credits after reading this comment. Not disappointed at all 😂👏🏾
🤣 yeah after I stumbled onto them and binged for I think 6 hours STRAIGHT!... I read one credit reel. Haha then went back and read them all😆
Extra terrestrial musicianship, AND funny?! That ain't right😳🔥 lol
Dirty Loops absolutely killing it right now.
Jonah's voice and range just keeps getting better.
Aron's shuffles and Henrik's harmonics just blow me away.
SUPER FACTS!!!! His vocals are INCREDIBLE!!!!
@@jonocrawfs1381, he definitely can!
@@jonocrawfs1381......Huh?
@@danielbentley7117, exactly! SMMFH!🤨😂
Honestly, I´m pretty unsure about Jonahs voice. Saw a few live recordings, where he wasn´t able to hit the high notes clearly (instead, sounded flat on the recordings) or he didn´t sing them at all. I really don´t know how much Autotune is and how much hes really able to hit... (Nevertheless pretty amazing indeed..)
Hearing this track is like the first time I ever heard 'Rosanna' by Toto: I knew immediately that these three guys sit amongst an elite group of the most insanely accomplished and talented artists to ever play together. Everything about this track is a masterclass in musicianship (emphasis on that word because it is sorely lacking today), song arrangement, mixing and production. I shall now go set fire to my keyboard and never play again. 😆🔥🔥🔥
Funny you bring that up. In the song 'Next to you' Henrik brings Jeff Porcaro's signature Rosanna shuffle to the bass guitar. Truly amazing.
Same feeling ' à la manière de' Toto , sweet home of the brave 😉
You are clearly wonderful yourself if you can make this comment.
I was actually thinking yesterday how much more interesting the music these guys make is than the like of toto and other "perfectionist" groups of their generation.
Giving you my keyboards, drums, and bass too. Please burn them also... save me some time. Cheers.
Can't stop listening to everything you do.
Bom gosto e tudo haha
Amen
Me too. This genius musically manifest.
@@rchw8052 ex
this is the highest level of musicianship available
yesss
I agree Bruno! Several levels up.
Nope, they're very good musicians, way above many mainstream groups BUT I'm sure you know Tool, Snarky Puppy, Vulfpeck, Hiromi uehara's bands, TMV ... Just check "zildjian live !" videos and the various groups the band (ghost note) crew play in or the guests in their videos to remind that too many geniuses aren't famous.
They are up there for sure but also check out Diana Krall Live in Paris or what logan1er said...
I would not go that far but these guys are top notch
I've never seen a band sound so much like "one instrument". It is truly astounding. Everything is so in the pocket and yet there is still so much space and groove. Just brilliant.
Brilliant and insightful comment.
Impeccable mixing to thank!
The mix is genius, listening to the reverbs and balance is simply amazing.
@@DavidAndishZambia sure is! I can't help myself but spread the word that everybody needs a better sound system or pair of headphones in their life. To the average person not too into audio but still into music, getting into an entry-level system might make you cry. For those interested in a budget solution, look into the Sony XM4 headphones. I bought them on black friday and the sound for their price is on another level.
@@yaris5150 I first played it on my studio Yamaha Hs monitors, simply beautiful and amazing
Besides the brilliance of all three musicians, I am always impressed by Jonah Nilsson's flawless transitions from chest voice to head voice and back.
I've listened to Prince, MJ and Stevie for years...and the influence is obvious...But I've only just discovered one of the best bands...maybe ever...which is annoying I'm so late. Such a well crafted and beautiful song! Great songs are rare these days, even though some skillful musicians...when when it's combined like this...what a pleasure!
Better late than never my friend. Enjoy!
His runs are really pure Stevie. Neither MJ or Prince relied on these fast vocal runs.
The sound engineer has done his job right😍😍😍
and so did the candle lighter, the massager, the lube provider, and everyone else.
They’re affiliated with quincy jones studios, so these dudes get literally the most elite of elite mixing and mastering engineers
@@duncangreen1887 wow. so, anything that comes near Quincy Jones then. I've heard two other artists that he had mentored.
Am I the only one who doesn't like the drumsound? It's totally drowned in reverb, too much for my taste :(
Dont think he had enough mics for Henriks amp though.
No words can describe the level of these guys.. Its freaking me out
As a musician myself, I can not get enough of this band. The three of them together are just soooo good on so many levels. Props to Jonah 3:30-3:42 ... I tried this myself while listening and driving in my car and blew out my vocal chords for 3 days!! Besides that I also ran out of breath after just 3 seconds! You guys are awesome!
and he was sitting only doing that..out of this world..
bro dont drive while singing like that. ur distracted as heck wtf.
🤣😂😅
I’d soon be wrapped around the next street pole if I’d be singing Dirty Loops whilst driving in my car…. 🚫❌☠️😜
They’re just too good! 🔥🔥🔥
If you're running out of breath that fast you're pushing way to much air dude. Probably why you hurt your voice too.
As I sit here practicing with my bass, I come across these guys, stop and just watch in awe. All these guys are fantastic.
The only thing wrong with Dirty Loops clips is that they dont yet get 1M views the first day!
Unbelievable class...style...technique...surreal
Sound engineer: "How do you want me to mic your amp?"
Henrik: "Yes"
Sound Engineer: "That's not what ..."
Henrik: "And the first shot of the video will be a mic on my DI"
jajajajajajajaja i was going to say the same thing...!
These dudes have such sound senses of humour. When I saw them they literally had the audience laughing at all times when they weren't melting our faces off.
Hahaha! Nice catch!
I read in an article that Henrik didn't use any mics on the cab on their first album, only DI and processing in post. Not sure if that still is true, but they surely don't use any of the mics in this video :)
You guys commented on this in the last video and Henrik delivered!
This really is genius musicianship. Why isn't there more talent in the music world like this? So hard to find anything remotely as skillful, powerful and dynamic as these guys.
Абсолютно согласна!
Это совершенство!
Здесь нечего добавить, это идеально!!!
Аранжировка, вокал, исполнение на инструментах - всё идеально!
🙏
It's a sad situation in the world today with music in general..... But with DL, it seems like God just decided to imprint his greatness on these three dudes.......
I worked at the same music school they all went to and the answer is that they were already at a high level before but they continued to work hard. I've never seen a band practice as much as they did. All genres and the fact that musicians these days can produce and mix their own music have probably made it difficult for many to see the essentials. The choices have become too many.
The only band I press Like before even listening. Never disappointed.
I am a metal guy, so why am I listening to this? Because THIS IS GREAT!!! Absolutely love this band.
Better to be a good music guy, isn't it?👌
This is in the same lane as classical and metal, tbh. Take out the image and the distortion from metal you can see the crossing influences.
My friends don't listen to metal. They think I'm insane lol. They don't listen to half of the stuff I do but mainstream sucks. If I'm driving on a road trip... I may be in a Soilwork mood, a Brotha Lynch Hung mood, Dirty Loops, Slightly Stoopid, The Wicked soundtrack, August Burns Red, maybe a little Josh Turner, Pentatonix, Nickel Creek, Fail Emotions, Erra, Joe Bonamossa, Terror, Boston, Eric Johnson.... I could go on for hours. Music is awesome, no matter the style. 🤘👍
Alex Skolnick from Testament and Chris Poland (former Megadeth guitarist) are both playing also in jazz/fusion bands.
So....

Unreal!!!! Musicians that were meant to be together ❤️
I am speechless listening to these guys. I am an awwww" the level of talents is 🤯🤯🤯 mind blowing. Note: The drummer is in a class by himself in turn of precision, groove in the pocket, he is jazz, r&b, rock, fusion. The vocalist is a trumpet player with his voice. The bass player is a version of Larry Gram and Larry Johnson. These 3 guys are unmatched.
Right !!!!! Awesome talent, power !
This'll probably get buried in the comments but your music has made me feel emotion again. It's been a long time. Thank you for sharing your talent and hard work. Some of the finest musicians extant today.

I hope these 3 can put their egos aside and stay together forever. Once in a lifetime group.
The drums on this slow jam are VERY daring. Aron likes to take risks lol... but makes it sound so relaxed. Perfect amount of tension. Not to mention how they all share the same rhythmic mind. Super tight track. I love the horns and chord changes underneath as well!!
They are fearlessly in love with music...
I think we all need a Dirty Loops Christmas album....
Dear God, yes!!!
My, how did I not consider how great that would be :) @dirtyloops YES PLEASE!!!

It’s funny you say that because this song really gives me strong Christmas vibes even though I’m not sure it’s really meant to be one.

The most beautiful song that's EVER been made.
The best thing about this pandemic is that these guys have time to produce songs like these.

This song reminds me of being a younger man, that feeling of wanting to do everything in your power to make a relationship work and just having it slip through your fingers. Took me a long time to realize you need to have that kind of love and respect for yourself first before you can extend it to another person.
Take care of yourself as if you were someone you were responsible for looking after.
That bass has more pickups than the average rural town in Texas does
Lmao that’s actually funny .. it has only 2 pickups though.. the one in the middle is just a wooden ramp, and the one closest to the neck is also just wood ramp for slap or something .. I’m fun at parties I promise
And yet it gets lost in the mix.
@@michaelnielsen7782 Either your smartphone speakers suck or your headset. If you want a punchy bass registers, you are in their wrong song
@@michaelnielsen7782 I have to agree with that. The bass is lower here in the mix, when you compare this mixdown with others of Dirty Loops. It's just the song and the more chill pop ballad mix approach. So if you're accustomed to Hendriks sound at DL, you have to hear this song a bit more often to get the feeling of the total mix. Of course with decent gear :D Me personally would have put the bass a bit more forward in the final part of the song. The vocals have stopped then and you'd have some more music out of the beautiful bass melodies here at the end of the song.
This is probably one of the best pieces of music that I have heard to this day ... 😇😲😲
I agree! The musical arrangement and the powerful and commanding performances by each member of this group are in the stratosphere.
And it's no autotune, just a real voice makes this so much better

The dynamics in this song are masterfully handled.
Wore my Dirty Loops t-shirt to the grocery store and a young guy stopped me and said "Dirty Loops!! What a great band". Nothing could be more true.
This is some of the most incredible music ever put together. The totality of this perfection is amazing. I just close my eyes and let every single sound tell the story. Hard to explain the feeling I got when I first heard this record. Well done.
Ok, last comment. When I was a little girl, my dad listened to bands like this all the time. I watched as popular music eroded in musicality and creativity. Thanks for bringing us back to the old days of music, Dirty Loops. We’ve missed it.
Agreed. Good point well made. Old half deaf uk duffer here :)
This band is beautiful and a true test to master musicianship this is what should be famous and on the radios around the world proof that the best is not always what's in the lime light my dad is a 40 year percussion master and I showed him the coffee break song the other day and he said that's the greatest thing hes heard in a really really long time

Emotional, intense, deep, one of the gratest song ever made this band, guys you are amazing every time
Why this guys had not been nominated to the grammys???!!!
Because, unfortunately, their music is too advanced for regular mortals. And they don’t sell a gazillion albums.
Grammys are useless.... It's not relevant to the actual music industry cuz.... Everyone and I say EVERYONE can win a grammy just playing 1 or 3 notes in their music just saying the same for 3 minutes straight... And yeah This Guys Deserve more than one but, WHO CARES ABOUT AWARDS IF YOU HAVE TALENT LIKE THIS GUYS. THEY MAKE MUSIC SOUND LIKE ART
Not released early enough probably.
Grammys are not a measure of music skills, or actual great music. The more garbage the noise it is, the more it is nominated
It’s all politics...
