He affirmed Catholic doctrine, to Catholic graduates, at a Catholic college. Non controversy
Why is this even a story? We really are losing it in our society.
I have a job but my favorite job is being a mother and a wife
Why is this even an issue? He was giving a speech in a Catholic college and he reaffirmed our Catholic beliefs. Good for him!!!!
A minute or so later, Butker addresses the men not neglect their vocation as good fathers. He stated that too much violence occurs because so many men in this country are neglecting their duties as a father. Butker overall addresses both men and women about the importance of parenthood, but you won’t see the media show it that way.
We live in a world where people are literally sitting around waiting to be offended by something.
Professional victims
News flash, ladies: nobody is forcing you to agree with this random individual. Move on with your lives.
Jenna, he didn’t compare anyone against eachother. You are doing that, then praising stay at home moms. Why are you doing this?
He wasn’t talking to you ladies. He was speaking to Catholic Women!!!
He said "most excited" . Are you more excited about your job or your husband and kids? What he said is not offensive.
You took everything out of context.
He is a traditional Catholic man who was INVITED to speak at a traditional Catholic University full of other traditional Catholics. The audience gave him a standing ovation at the end. These are affairs of the Catholic community, if you don't like it- it's simply none of your business.
I’m confused why people are so outraged by this. It takes all of two seconds to find out through Google search that Benedictine college is a Catholic College. The college literally states “As a Catholic college, Benedictine College is committed to those beliefs and natural principles that form the framework of the Judeo-Christian tradition, and it is committed further to those specific matters of faith of the Roman Catholic tradition.” Of course, his speech is going to be about God and traditional men/women family roles. Clearly nobody at that institution cares about who they may be offending by practicing their religion. Nobody forced you to listen to his speech. The beautiful thing about this country is that you’re free to believe in and practice whatever values you want.
Jenna said do not compare one woman to another. That is exactly what Jenna did.
He wasn't talking to you or all women. He was talking to the Catholic women at Benedictine. Get over it. God Bless Harrison.
My mother was also a nurse and a teacher. She had worked as an RN during WWII while my father was serving in the South Pacific. I am a Boomer. Before I was even born my parents agreed upon a plan for work-home balance until I graduated from college.
Homemakers are the bedrock of our society! Thank you Harrison
He basically told the men & women to put their FAMILY first.
He’s not judging you liberal ladies, but you choose to feel judged and offended by him since your beliefs and values do not resonate with his traditional values. There happen to be many women out there who share his thoughts and respect and priority he shows for his faith and family.
