Which of these flops do you think was the worst idea?
The mclobster was nasty, and you forgot to mention the big xtra and the big xtra with cheese from the early 2000's
The worst idea was the Hula Burger, I can see why it was discontinued.
The Mcspaghetti. The crab cake sandwich wasn't too bad, but the price and availability killed it. I just happened to be visiting Chincoteague and saw it on the menu and tried it. At $7.99 I could have had a better sandwich anywhere else.
Hula burger, a slice of pineapple on a bun.... get outta here!
The hula burger! What was Kroc thinking?!
The Arch Deluxe may have been the greatest McDonald's burger ever. They should do annual limited releases of those puppies
Seriously! The were awesome
The Big 'N Meaty was another good burger.
I loved the Arch deluxe
Annual release of the Mc D.L.T. or the Big N Tasty. The arch Deluxe was horrible
I am thinking about a new type of restaurants: eating-spots
in eating-spots, food keeps changing, chefs also rotate
this is opposed to current restaurants,
thanks to this rotation of food and chefs, eating-spots are more powerful than restaurants,
along with that, there is an app,
people vote for the food that will be cooked in the next days
menu is influenced by the live input of the people via an app
"anyone can make spaghetti at home"
Yeah and anybody can make hamburgers at home too
Sure, try making a Big Mac at home.
Here's some irony for you. Pizza Hut's crust is frozen now.
Whaaaaat? :( That's super unfortunate to hear.
Still some damn good pan pizza when you're stoned, though... (how far is the closest Pizza Hut? :P )
Pizza Hut still exist?
Pizza Hut is garbage.
What about the salad in a drink cup flop. Didn't they call it a salad shaker or something like that?
Anyone remember when McDonalds had two menus the classic menu and the new tastes menu? I don't think anything from the new tastes menu lasted very long like the Arch Deluxe, the Crispy Chicken Deluxe, the Grilled Chicken Deluxe, the Filet O Fish Deluxe, the McLean Deluxe and I think the Big and Tasty was on there too. McDonalds spent $150 million to develop this new menu.
The arch deluxe was amazing. Bring it back!!!
^
@@soyentak5076 Point being?
Y'all are disgusting.
@@animuchan6136 Well goddamn. Who licked all the red off of your candy?
All of these are highly successful in alternate universes
Guess that means the Big Mac, Chicken Nuggets, and the fish sandwich, would be on this list there lol
Or wouldn’t, because in an alternate universe it’s the opposite so it wouldn’t be an alternate universe
As a vegetarian, the hula burger looks disgusting
Yeah I don''t see how anyone thought that would beat Filet O'Fish. Ray really hated fish I guess. I really can't see many vegetarians walking into a Mcdonald's anyway.
@@bruss529 I can’t tell you the last time I went to McDonald’s tbh, the fries aren’t even vegetarian(beef flavoring but that’s not the case for every country, like India). And I know everyone is entitled to their own taste 🤦🏻♀️😂
Okay, seriously, McPizza was amazing! A McPizza combo with a super size fry was a blood pressure raising delight!
I worked at McDs as a teenager when the Big Extra came out(they changed the name to big n tasty) The big extra was really really good. They put a special seasoning on it and it was a bigger different shaped meat patty than the ones they use for quarter pounders. The burger was huge and had everything. 2 cheese, tom, lettuce, onions, pickles, ketchup and mayo. It was really the seasoning that made it. They need to bring it back
I just want to know who thought naming a giant, smiling, purple, gumdrop shaped children's mascot "Grimace" was a good idea?
I worked at McDonald's when both the mighty wings and fish mcbites were qround. I really miss the mighty wings. A sense of spice that not many wings places have without the use of sauce
Yes I worked at McDonald's when mighty wings were first introduced..I think we ate more than we sold..we were always out because the crew was always eating them..would love to see them again
@@carlton4129 every break I'd buy a 10 piece and just dawg em. But, people then, "These wings are too spicy"! vs. People now, "Oh the spicy McNuggets aren't spicy enough!" This is why we can't have nice things
Yeah breaded wings are MUCH better when the seasoning is in the breading and not a sauce.
@@MichaelGonzalez-hd7kk straight facts
I miss the fish mcbites they were good and I miss these little chicken things similar to the fish bites and their cherry pie and they also once had a birthday cake kind of pie I remember eating it and it was so good better than apple and they should bring back their red and blueberry shakes for every Fourth of July we get the shamrock shake on saint Patrick’s day
man McDonald's taste a whole lot better in the 90s until they messed with the recipe and the oil it was good stuff back then
Beef fat makes everything deep fried taste waaaaay better
Hi-C Orange is coming back! 💥
Is this true? That would be awesome! It was the only thing I ever drank there. It was a staple that they had since my childhood. I was extremely disappointed when they discontinued it.
@@wills6936 yes! They announced it on their Twitter a few days ago.. there is even a tracker to locate a mcd with it in stock lol
Didn't realize it had been gone. Guessing the locations with the Freestyle machines were the only ones that still had it.
I miss the buttermilk crispy tenders :(
5:19 ngl it looks like he got a knife XD
Shoot, I miss mighty wings. They were great!
A little overpriced I thought. About $1 a wing IIRC. That's pretty steep for wings.
@@jasonmitchell43 still delicious 😋
@@jasonmitchell43 that's actually the going price.. I've seen Buffalo wings a little higher.. please bring them back
They were good, but an absolute pain in the ass to make.
They sold well at the stores I ran.
@@jedidethfreakthe only real problem was that the crew ate more than we sold...
Bring back the lobster rolls. I would be there morning noon and night
Y'all need to hang out in Halifax. They bring back the McLobster ever year during the summer months but JUST in that region.
The McDLT is still my favorite burger.
Amen. Seriously, the best burger they've ever made, followed closely by the Arch Deluxe.
4:11 that sounds, looks and surely taste like the worst invention in culinary history.
Pineapple and cheese are not a good mix
man i used to love mcpizza
I personally miss the Big N' Tasty and the McLean Deluxe
Big N Tasty is still a thing in Slovenia. I have no idea if it is regular on the menu, but I see the name often enough.
You can still get the Big Tasty thing in the UK fairly regularly.
The McLean Deluxe? You mean the McShoeLeather, right? :)
You forgot about the McChicken in the late 70’s that was to complete with KFC. Not a sandwich but actual pieces (not formed) that were high pressure, deep fried. Our store didn’t sell enough to keep the bin stocked so it was made to order. Twenty minutes later you got your food. It was there when I started in ‘77 and I would guess it was pulled out sometime in 1978. I worked at a company owned store not a franchise.
I frickin' LOVED Mighty Wings! RIP, my precious.
People are tripping over the Fish mcbites. They were like fish stick popcorn shrimp. They were good
Have we been here before? I feel like we've been here before.
I'm ready to see these flops..BRING IT ON
Hehe, where was the Supreme expression of nastiness, the pressed McRib? That was an adventure.
The biggest flop is...QUALITY AND SERVICE !
It’s actually because of Jason Alexander that the McDLT failed. He was the single most important thing in its demise. It was a brilliant concept, it still is.
@Axiom Steel Yeah. WTF did he do?
NMRN: Instead of just making a statement, then disappearing and leaving everybody hanging, how about explaining what you're talking about?
@@wannawatchu66 here’s an explanation. It’s a joke, did that explain it? Are you satisfied? Do you understand now? Would you like to meet up so I can personally draw you a diagram with crayon?
@@notmyrealname3403 😆 Thanks bro
Soggy lettuce and tomato ...George is getting angry.
I loved the McDLT !
I miss it as well
Same. Was my fav sandwich and I was like 8ish at the time.
The were the best McDonalds burgers ever.
I am thinking about a new type of restaurants: eating-spots
in eating-spots, food keeps changing, chefs also rotate

Mighty Wings being delicious is a hill I'm will die on.
I'd be on the hill beside you.
Why don’t they have onion rings?
I've always wondered that.
Way back in 2007 i can say that the most days we didn't break double digits with the filletofish, but on the day it would gets is double deal it sold a lot. But it was the only double deal to be bested by the shear amount of doubles cheese burgers we would sell. The double cheese berger being the most ordered item in general
I seriously loved, and still miss, the family-sized McPizza.
Isn't it amazing that every flop was high priced? I remember when you got a burger, FF and a shake for $1.15. The Shakes were hand made with real ice cream then, and the fires were hot.
The Arch Deluxe was legit. I remember being so disappointed when they discontinued it.
I remember the Arch Deluxe. I actually liked it. I was 18 when it came out. But I got a TON of jokes about the tagline about it having a "grownup taste" and made that sexual! lol
I swear the guy in the McDLT commercial in the blue Letterman Jacket looks like a young Eli Manning! I went back 3 times, and I swear it looks just like him!!
A young Jason Alexander dancing the BLT burger ? " The cow was angry that day my friend"
Sorry, but the Mc DLT was invented as a way for McD's to compete against the Whopper. At that time, McD's only had lettuce on the Big Mac, and no other burger had tomatoes- not the hamburger, cheeseburger, quarterpounder, or Big Mac. I guess you could say the quarterpounder was the Whopper's competition, but it didn't have lettuce or tomato.
Back then...NOTHING could compete with the whopper. But now.....THE WHOPPER SUCKS, and it can't compete with anything !
the mighty wings were amazing..i wish theyd bring em back
No Earl Wright
@@3rR0reX3 yes..yes they were! Dont lie to the public woman!
I remember MCDONALD'S having a sausage sandwich that was actually very good. It was a sausage patty shaped like a McRib and on a McRib bun. I don't know why they discontinued it. I would buy it in a heartbeat.
Some still have it, some never had it, but I miss the Eggnog Shake! Yummy yummy yummy! I can remember shopping late at night for Christmas with my new husband. We would stop off and pick up a shake first! Official holiday start. 🎄
Omg. Thank you for this! Everytime I mention the eggnog shake people look at me like I'm insane. I was starting to think maybe I imagined it. I miss them too. 💔
I LOVED THE ARCH-DELUXE back in the 90's.. People got this WRONG!
In an alternate universe, a goddamn piece of fruit between cheese would be sold on the menu over the filet-o-fish.
The biggest flop is the baked apple pie. The original fried apple and cherry pies were AMAZING. Sure, you'd get instant third degree burns when you bit into them. But damn they were good.
The mcpizza was awesome. My local McDonald's had an all you can eat buffet when it first came out.
I LOVED the McDLT and the ArchDelux. Was sad to see them go, but understood the reality.
What about the big and tasty?
You mean the Small and Nasty?
The arch deluxe was bomb , miss those
Yes! They were the bomb. Why did they d/c those?
I really liked the arch deluxe also...ate quite a few of those in 96
@@joshw6993 yup, 96 was the year for the arch deluxe:)
Hula burger, pineapple between 2 slices of cheese ??? WTF!!
Don't most people go to McDonald's because they DON'T feel like having spaghetti for the 3rd time that week?
I loved the McD.L.T and Mighty Wings!
Sounds like they should’ve just named the McAfrika the “McPita” and they would’ve had a much better chance. I don’t know what they were thinking 😂
Pizza Hut had some nerve-their crust was frozen when I worked there also.
I so miss the "Arch Deluxe" and also the "Big n tasty".
Bring those back! And for god sakes, keep the McRib on the menu at all times, and lower its price.
Mcpizza in 11.1/2 minutes, that's still faster than the wait time for my order of two cheeseburgers no ketchup extra mustard and onions. How about tell the girls to knock off the gossip and get to work
Mcspaghetti was my favorite when I was a child
I don't understand. Nathan's Famous has been selling hot dogs and cheeseburgers for a long time. No flops. McDonald's tries hot dogs and flops? Why did the fish bites flop but chicken nuggets didn't? It's the same type of food, deep fried and bite sized. McDonald's already sells a fish sandwich and several chicken sandwiches, so what's wrong with the fish bites? I get the feeling that most customers are not open to change at McDonald's. They want the same menu all the time.
I actually really liked the ArchDeluxe. Don't know why ppl hated it.
pete rose needs to b put in to the mlb hall of fame
That's interesting and thank you.
MC DLT best burger ever. Two serviettes for the burger to sit on until the grease soaked into them then replace it on the bun and enjoy McDonald's best burger ever....ummmmm I miss the 80' s and the mcdlt. Dang 4:00 am and I want a burger!!!!!😵
Omg, if I ever go to the Philippines, I'll go eat at a McDonald's to check out the tomato sauce spagetti!! Looks sooo good!
Been there it's sauce is really sweet if you have a jollibee near you their spaghetti tastes almost identical
You are kidding, right???
@@davidquinn2382 nope

The McAfrica is killing me. Like who tf thought of that 💀 💀 💀
I can remember when our town of 6,000 and the McDonald's first opened, (about 25 years ago) on Fridays they would have 3 hamburgers for $1 ! This store is super busy every day and the owner has a gold mine here. He has very good work crews and the service exceeds any other I have ever been to. And BTW, any huge corporation is going to have occasional flops when you experiment as often as they do. I enjoy the fountain Coke, Double quarter pounder w' cheese & fries. Add the "secret sauce" I buy from Walmart. Very good sauce ! Big Mac occasionally also. 😋
Wow, McDonald's had so much stuff?..... *Cries in Canadian* We don't even get Angus burgers anymore! After being out for years, suddenly I learn it's a Limited time offer....What kind of Limited time Offer last for years!? At that point it's a standard menu item! *CRIES HARDER*
At least we have the poutine!
Indo23 W literally the only thing we'd have that's a Staple.
Anyone else remember the triple double burger and the Michael Dean Perry burger? Those were good!
I loved the mighty wings tbh.
The Mc DLT wasn't a flop, it was great. How did the McLean not make this list?
I thoroughly enjoyed the Mighty Wings.
The arch Deluxe was incredible that is by far the most awesome hamburger ever made
The McPizza was awful.
And Pizza Hut eventually ruined its pizza too.
I LOVED the Mighty Wings...
Doughey bun. 3:32 Looks like a frickin baked potato.
I liked, and had the chance to cook, the McDLT.
Bring back the halibut that actually looked alright the pollock ones questionable at best
LOL, halibut is more expensive than lobster these days!
I want to see the return of the McRib in the UK! Was a great burger!
In 1982 while traveling to th World Fair in Knoxville TN I had a large burger called the McFeast to rival tha Whopper. It was great but never saw it again
The MC,DLT was my Fave !
I loved the Mcdlt. So good.
I remember eating a McLobster on vacation in Maine in 1999 or 2000.
I loved the Arch Deluxe
Mighty wings weren't that bad. Am I alone in not remembering fish bites only 8 yrs ago?
I'm surprised that they didn't mention the Mac Jr. and the Grand Mac.
Not food, but also a failure was the McDonalds plane, the McDonalds train and the McDonalds Hotel.
I remember as a kid liking the McDonald’s pizza’s back then. It reminded me now of Dominos pizza as had the same type of crust.
The McDLT was their BEST flop!
If you McEat this as a McAdult, older than Mc30, you McNasty! McBhahahahahhahahahaa
I loved the mcdlt... i.miss it! I do remember saying that though bwfore they came up with the duel container... they said the hot is hot and cool is cool then they.put it under a heat oven and made both luke warm. Then they came up with the two side containers and it was good!
I think the big n tasty was pretty much a mcdlt
Wait, it’s easier to make spaghetti at home than a burger and fries? lol, might be the dumbest thing I have ever heard.
I miss the arch delux
The Mclobster is by far my favorite!!!
The Cheddar Melt was a heavy stomach bomb, so why do I miss and crave it lol?
god I wish the fish mcbites were still around i loved them so much and everyone in my town loved them
not mcdonalds coming for jolibee's brand LMAOOO
At the time of the Mc DLT all of their burgers came in styrofoam containers. I don't think it was a factor in why it failed. It was probably because it just sucked.
