You are welcome. I'm on the fence trying to decide if Rock Auto doesn't want the old battery back or if it's just an oversight/carelessness. Not only did I try to call them, but couldn't find a place on their website to complain about what happened to me.... so I am complaining on social media. For sure they should be warning that the flooded type batteries cannot be shipped at checkout and if they are promising reduced shipping I should be able to purchase it. I sure did waste a lot of time figuring out the flaws pointed out in the video.

You are welcome. I always try to resolve problems with a company by contacting them, however, I didn't find any easy way to work with Rock Auto on this one. That is the downside of their business model. Until they fix this problem, I felt obligated to put out a warning. I have bought other parts from them in the past without any glitches or surprises.
Shipping a battery is crazy. Buy Interstate from Costco. Never had one die. Just replaced my Camry 7 year old interstate.

I'd just put the bad battery on the curb with a free sign and let a scrapper take it. Core charge for batteries is almost always higher than scrap value so if you're not near a recycler just consider the core charge part of the final battery cost.
Agreed. East Penn one of the largest car battery manufacturers only pays $7.50 for an old battery. The factory is about a 20 mile drive from my house. I had forgotten that they sell "blems" at their retail store at the factory. Had I remembered, I would have got the battery for $91. They used to install the battery for you and they were much cheaper. Some people speculate that the local parts stores complained about the super cheap prices.
