- We met with Brent Hinds before Mastodon's concert in Horsens, Denmark, just before show time.

I was chilling outside of a venue after a Mastodon show (in the Hunter tour). I was having a cigarette in an alley with my cousin, and around the corner walks Brent Hinds. He's wearing nothing but Blue jeans, and he looks kinda nervous. I'm taken aback, as he's the guitarist for fucking Mastodon. He simply walked up and said "Hey, do you know where to get a good burrito around here?" I told him what I knew was nearby, and he looked at me like a cow looks at an oncoming train. "Cool" he responded. He then bummed a cigarette, lit it with my lighter, and vanished once more into the night. It's the only interaction I've had with any of Mastodon, and it's the most on character thing Brent could've done.
PS. He was shoeless as well. Only worn out blue jeans.

Yes, it's either Brann or Troy (my guess is Brann, by voice color) doing what called a lip trill. It's a very common vocal warm-up and development tool.

A group of friends and I went to see Mastodon a few years ago. We saw Brent and a group of dudes standing behind the venue, one of the guys with me decides to kiss Brent on the cheek and he went off the deep end. He was literally trying to strangle my friend.
