1)Cut carbs/sugars 2)track everything you eat 3)up your protein 4)exercise more increase frequency/ intensity to raise heartbeat 5)manage stress 6)avoid alcohol, 7)intermittent fasting 8)drink more water tea or coffee 9) get good quality/quantity of sleep and 10) eat more vegetables (fiber makes you feel fuller).
Yes. Good tips. I am making a list in the morning. I have lost 49.3 kg and its irritating to stall right here before 50. ≈110 lbt. I also want and need to lose more... 1 year post op in april. ❤from Stockholm Sweden
Me too hon. So frustrating. 9 months out of surgery. What about you? Have been boosting veggies and protein, and going back to gym today after months off. Good luck to you 💪
Good tips for further out, I think someone like myself (8 weeks post op) should refer to their dietitian re stalls [also with what is considered a stall, I was told no weight loss for 3 weeks]. I was advised to eat more to break a stall, especially this early on.
I've been in a stall for 3 months now I feel that ive fallen off the wagen... as I feel mind hungry all the time and it's been hard... ive watched this video I will follow your advise. I'm 11 stone and half at the moment my goal is 10 to 10 and half stone and nearly 7 months post op. will give update within next month or so...
So a lot has happened since my last reply.... I found out I was pregnant soon after and I had a miscarriage last week (baby's heart stopped at 9 weeks and I was 11 weeks, had procedure done, now I'm home recovering). I have been eating things that I shouldn't and I'm grieving so at the moment I'm not even thinking about my weight but after I've grieved I will get back on track..
I have been eating my veggies and doing most of the things you mentioned but some days I noticed a weight stall. I may be lacking enough protein. I will up my protein a bit from now on. Thanks Dr. A. Be blessed.
I love it! I have looked at all the videos and the hospital and location. I am so ready to go. I really am ready for this life change. I am so excited. I am in really good health. The only thing I need is a safe place to have surgery. I am hoping this will be the place!
I love your work and postings, all this information is really really helpful and worth for us / for me in this previous phase of my sleeve surgery in November this year! Thanks so much! 🌺🌺🌺
I'm 5 weeks post sleeve gastrectomy, ur adviis super duper on point...God bless ur work. I. From Australia very happy to learn and. Change my life for the betterment to my family
Thank you for the educational videos. I had alot of questions and thanks to your videos all of my questions has been answered. I'm currently in the process of getting ready for my surgery which I'm praying will take place next month. Again thank you so very much for taking time out of your busy schedule to make these videos. 💜💜💜
#AskDrA i want to know how common is nutritional deficiency due to absorbtion after the gastric sleeve? And is it long term or just during the first 18 months. Also it it more common on men or women. Since women often times are anemic due to other problem s
Amazing! Absolutely true! I'm 14 years RNY, gone through many changes in the body and diet, those are the reasons of stall or even gaining weight, as you prescribed it! There is also the big psychosomatic idea of being overweight and operating yourself a placebo...much to think
Genepro is a great source of unflavored protein that you can add to your foods! I did before my surgery when I did IF and I’m doing it post-OP to meet protein goals when I can’t. It’s fantastic
Protein products are great especially unflavored but mostly try using what's natural such as meat, fish, chicken, and other protein food choices. To answer your question you can choose the time you don't want to eat and when you want to stop, and also incorporate meal planning if you have not already done so.
My question exactly , protein supplements does not equal protein all day, spaced out throughout the day as he said you can’t do it. I would concentrate on protein and use intermittent fasting about 4 to ? Months .
What if the person is not eating carbs. So, then what? What if the person is eating protein? That’s all they can’t get down? Then what? What if the person exercising daily. 5 times a day ? What if you have no stress? What if the person don’t drink? So, you want someone to fast when they already taking less than 800 calories? Most doctors say you can’t have coffee or tea? No caffeine drinks. What if the person only drink water? What if the person is sleeping fine? These tips are not helpful at all nor do they make sense.
Is the low carb advice still applicable if you are several years post-VSG and are lifting and exercising frequently? My personal trainer and all of the body builders I follow say to eat "good" carbs like rice, potatoes, oatmeal, etc. and the advice on carbs for those who have had VSG vs. "normal" people who lose weight is very confusing
*Not a professional* If you’re stalling you’re probably consuming too much carbs / not enough fiber. Yes you need the carbs for the extra push in a workout and to keep your metabolism working but when you have excess fat it’s definitely not necessary, also with carbs like oatmeal / rice / potatoes those amounts of carbs are to add calories that can be filling and used for more workouts. It’s hard to lose weight and gain muscle mass at the same time - I’d say for carbs stick to the carbs that are high in protein or high in fiber. Green beans & chickpeas are my fave! 🙌🏽🙌🏽 also go you!!

How do you eat protein throughout the day and also do intermittent fasting?

You can’t

Hello Doc. How soon can a patient go to the gym after surgery?
Hello Rodel!
You have to wait 4 weeks after surgery.
Different between bypass sleeve or gastric sleeve
How much Carbs a day you need

Hello!
We recommend to visit your surgeon to get more details!

When you drink the tea, is that with no sugar?
Yes, you can use sweeteners such as Stevia.
