- Hello friends!
I’m Elisabetta, an Italian watercolor artist with a passion and a curiosity for art supplies and pigments.
An artist friend brought me a lovely gift from Fabriano in Acquarello, the annual world watercolor conference. My friend Michael brought me a wonderful small palette with the colours of Bologna made by Roman Szmal for this edition of Fabriano in Acquarello, that takes place in the beautiful city of Bologna. Grazie Michael!!
This Palette contains Ginger Red, an earthy orange made with an unique pigment, PR290. Such a wonderful colour!
I will swatch this mini palette and try a sketch.

My best friend from when I was a child has hair this color (Ginger). I have always found it most beautiful.
Believe it or not, I have always wanted a ginger hair child (my son has fair brown hair !). So I have a ginger hair dog now. I find it beautiful as well!

Thanks for swatching and painting with the Ginger Red. I've had it in my basket a few times but I've always taken it out in favour of something else. I think the next time it'll stay in.

Thank you Elisabetta, an interesting trio of colours, I love Roman Szmal but only have about 20 colours so far, that ginger red is an interesting one isn't it, it seems to have quite a glow in dilution yet it seems a more muted earthy red in mass tone.
Roman Szmal is an endless source of fun…so many beautiful colours…I could get lost in it. Thanks for sharing!

That really is an interesting colour, the Ginger Red. It reminds me a little of Madder Brown from Schmincke, also a reddish brown but more pink than orange. I was without an earth red in my palette for a while but missed having one, especially for mixing with blues. :)

Saying that the University of Bologna is the oldest university in the world is sure going to anger some people 😂. I read on Wikipedia that there are older institutions of higher learning in Morocco, Tunis, Egypt, and Chad or somewhere around Chad. I’m using the term institution of higher learning because they did not follow the traditions of what we today call universities, they had other means of passing on knowledge. The knowledge was still advanced and goes beyond school. I don’t want to delve too much into this topic otherwise I’ll get sucked into the debate of what constitutes a university and which institution is the oldest and I do not want get sucked into that 😅.
That’s a very good idea! Let’s not get sucked into this irrelevant topic, I think it really depends on the definition of university, but I’m happy to be wrong if it is the case. If someone gets angered at me for this, it’s too bad for them!

Dipingere non è solo creare qualcosa di bello, è una fuga dalla brutta realtà. In fondo, tutti gli hobby servono a questo scopo......
Ho un po' di nostalgia per i tuoi bellissimi cani. Mi piacciono i cani e i gatti, ma purtroppo ora non mi è permesso tenerne nessuno. Questa vita è in qualche modo limitata per tutti. Se hai soldi, non hai tempo e se hai tempo, non hai soldi. E non è sempre sufficiente avere soldi e tempo, bisogna anche avere la salute! È complicato.
I tuoi video sono come una piccola vacanza. Non so se lo sai, ma la Bibbia dice che tutti i cristiani a un certo punto saranno presi in cielo, cioè portati via da Dio. Questo accadrà all'improvviso. Purtroppo non conosco i passaggi della Bibbia italiana. Ma lei è una donna intelligente, se vuole può scoprirlo da sola. Da circa 4 anni qui ci sono molti sogni che persone di tutto il mondo hanno fatto. Puoi controllare su Rapturedream. La profezia biblica si sta realizzando! Questo è stato già predetto in Atti capitolo 2.
Perché sto scrivendo questo? Perché lo sto già aspettando con ansia. Significherebbe che non è necessario essere molto anziani per andare in Paradiso. Ma purtroppo non tutti i cristiani saranno portati via.
C'è la famosa storia delle 5 vergini sagge e delle 5 vergini stolte del Vangelo di Matteo. Le 5 sagge avevano ancora olio nelle loro lampade e le 5 stolte no, non erano pronte per le nozze.
Ci sono molte brave persone e molti cristiani, ma non tutti prendono la loro fede così seriamente. Ci sono altre cose che occupano il primo posto nel loro cuore. È molto probabile che vengano lasciati sulla terra.
Speriamo che abbiate capito tutto. Perché sto scrivendo con un programma di traduzione. Che fortuna che esista!
