Making it one of the few cars in history to win twice. But yeah, they learned that all those scoops did what they were intended for, and scooped up air. But just to much of the stuff. And by 1968 and 1969, the cars looks a lot like mark 1’s. But these car are not Ford backed, as Ford was focused on the J car, which Ford had designed from the ground up. You are right, the gulf GT-40 is from 1968, however the person just slapped the 1968 livery on a 1966 Mk I GT-40. You can tell that the car isn't the one from 1968 because the 1966 and 1968 cars have slightly different vents on the hood.

Yeah that is definitely a mark 1 with the 289 engine. The mark 2 has more air scoops and has the 427 and so does the mark 4.
