You may look into using the "tab" feature instead of double sided tape each time. Then you can either use hold down clamps or screw to hold your material to the table top. Save money and a little bit of time. Also The melamine is not the greatest stuff for an even work surface. You can use mdf and program your mill to run across the top. Then you know your work surface in 100% level to your end mill. You can also save time on running a bigger end mill. Every bits diameter can cut equal that depth. If you have 1/4" material and use a 1/4" end mill you can do a profile cut in one pass. Holler at me if you have any questions.

SoundmanCA Doug please listen this may save you a lot of money on a transmission Have you checked the linkage from the shifter to transmission it is a known area to loosen up and not engage the transmission . it will be stuck in a gear or neutral no matter how you move the shifter.

something like Solidworks is based off sketching geometries then adding dimensions later. this would allow you to change dimensions easily while keeping the geometry and other dimensions intact.
use it at university and i know a license would be expensive but theres obviously other solutions
Idea: cnc route a buck out of mdf for those sliders and vacuum form them out of ABS.

Since you always use those same precut mdf sheets you should make some brackets to hold it down and not have to double side tape it every time. Or he'll even a deck screw in each corner would work and save you all that tape.
Doug, could you maybe do some for phones too? I guess the problem with phones is people change them too often. Idk. Think about it
You should put your name on the bottom corner with your CNC would make it pop on your iPad kits!!

you should be able to create a parametric equation in the software
Doug, make some super cheap kits out of spray foam and chicken wire.
You should make some clamps for the mdf boards so it's always flush like a lot of other cnc machines.
So no need for magnets on the back side with these mdf kits? I really want one. Wish they werent so expensive but they look clean as hell..

Illustrator does math too. Take a Dimension and Add or subtract right in the Transform Panel.
