Your video was perfect! I am not a smart woman, I will be the first to say it, but this video has answered all my questions in one and I feel confident enough to do this myself🩵 Thank you for not skipping on any of the details or for assuming the person watching knows what you're talking about or where something is located. I appreciate your patience and for teaching me this skill ^_^
Thank you! Looks like a piece of cake! We take our Cruze to the dealer to get it changed since it’s our newest car. But recently $93 dollars for the change WITH a coupon is making me unhappy. We also have a 201- Grand caravan like the one on the side in your video that always goes to the dealer for oil and it’s not quite as expensive at the Cruze!
Great point, my manual says it has an approximate capacity of 4.25 QT. I have always put in the full 5 and check when I check the dipstick, it is on the high side of the oil range but is within range. Always check the dipstick and adjust accordingly.
That odd, new o ring is pretty standard. You may want to return it and get a new one, maybe it got missed. You could try reusing the old one, I wouldn’t recommend it but that’s your call 😀
Chevy recommends oil be dexos1 which I believe is full synthetic. A Chevy certified mechanic once told me to just use the correct viscosity and it’ll be fine. I’m at 117,000 miles and haven’t had any issues….yet.
I feel like oil is oil, name brand or generic are probably from the same place. Could probably get a better filter but I haven’t had any issues using the cheap ones.

So if I don’t have any sockets a wrench that fits will work to get the oil pan open and the filter out?
What is that special socket called you use for the oil filter?
That's an impact socket.
Great video very informative buddy,thanks
Hope it helped!

It says 4 quarts on the manual book 🤔

Instead of jack, I stack up a couple of 2x6's and drive up onto them...
my filter didn't come with a new O - ring. Last time it did

I thought you always had a use full synthetic oil on the Chevy Cruze

My new oil plug is 15mm
Where the air filter
Your coolant level is very low. Isn't it?
It was, I found that my Coolant recovery hose was leaking after I did this video. It was sheared off where is clicks into the top of the engine.
It’s a Cruze. They all leak and burn oil
FOR SURE SPEND ALITTLE MORE MONEY ON OIL AND FILTERS.... OIL IS CHEAP AND ENGINES ARNT
