I've been producing from 2008 - 2012, made some decent tracks, was way more creative when I was younger ofc. Stopped after 2012 because, being an idiot, i thought no one would listen to house/trance in the future...how wrong i was (at least about house). Also was a die hard FL user but after only a month of watching your tutorials you not only hooked me on Ableton but my skills are now on a much higher level than they were before, you've filled in the gaps, the missing pieces from way back then, and I can't thank you enough for it! Started producing again thanks to you, brought some colour back into my life during these gray times.
Your knowledge is incredible, but what’s impressive to me it’s your teaching talent. 👏🏼 You’ve become my favorite in a matter of days! Anything I’m not sure about, I just need to look into one of your videos and I’ll find it 10 times out of 10. Just impressive!
This is great. Thank you, and well done! For what it's worth I'll just add that I use a lot of these tricks being a solo artist. I highly recommend (in addition to your current tips) musicians try experimenting with formant changes in your vocals. Not only does this help a lot in preventing frequency competition/cancellation but also does a fantastic job in helping create a distinctly different vocal. (if you want that sort of thing)
Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm glad you found the video helpful. Experimenting with formant changes is definitely a good tip, so thank you for sharing 🙌🏻🙏🏻.
Such a great video! For contemporary sounding tracks I even prefer the generated harmonies over the recorded ones - they are so much tighter and cleaner and easier to process within the overall mix. THANK YOU SO MUCH! I guess for all the producers around Your advice is more worth than mere gold...
Honestly mate - you have so much knowledge with such a happy face delivery … positive awesome person not to mention being so generous with your wisdom Appreciate every video
For pitch correction in FL - Newtone comes in handy... or RoVee (free wonderful Japanese plugin in real-time). Sometimes I also use vocoder for harmonies with simple sawtooth wave :)
Will, thank you for this video, it's a gem. I've never known how to process and thicken vocals correctly. I've got a question regarding the processing. I see you've used a chain of different compressors and EQs to presumably add harmonic content to your vocal signal. Now how did you choose the chain and how exactly did you tweak it to get the final result? Using compression and eq for adding harmonic content to the signal has always been a mystery for me. Really hope to see a video on this topic.
Great video. Awesome tips. Q. If one uses the Izotope plugins (I have Nectar 4 with the Dimensions Chorus feature) would I still need to create 4 tracks for the doubles or just 2 and pan 1 right and the other left? Q. On the Harmony track section (again using Nectar 4) can I just copy the LV track and add the harmonies on that track or do I need to have 2 tracks panned left and right? Cheers🥂
Geat tutorial, gonna use this method on something I've been working on for a few months, being a full-time carer, not getting much time but the tutorial will help save me a bit of time when I get round to doing more on the remix I've been tryin to work on. Oh, sent a message via FB Will, keep up the great work. Have you managed to go on any more runs or the gym recently? Knees okay?
For the last week i have been singing and whistling to myself this melody from verse, its sooo contagious :)) And today when i heard the final result i was just WOW. So i can say that this song went too far beyound vocal processing exercise! Hope Dua Lipa would check this out :)
🎄❄☃ Merry XmaX - your so condensending in everything u say it's like you just want to get it over with and get back to playing xbox :) I got 10 years in HR work, and I went out and played guitar every night for 15' I can have some knowledge on -giving up and gettin on da grind- :)
Hahah, thanks for your feedback! I haven;t played for a while but feel like being concise means I can teach more in the alloted time. No point in dragging it out :)
I'm curious! 🤔 If you could fix one thing in your mixes by using a magic wand, what would it be?
to get a louder and fatter mix without clipping and distortion
Putting the different elements of a mix next to each other without loss of presence for any of them... - You asked about MAGIC 🙂
The whole thing 😂
@@Salkinmusic 😅
hahaha....my own voice not sucking. ...But no plugin, autotune or otherwise, is going to fix that.

you rock !
This has a very 90s house feel, plus the singer sounds like Dua LIPA.
Really nice video. I hope to see one about real clean guitar. All videos are about metal sound ;)
Great suggestions! We actually covered it in our live group session the other week but I will keep it in mind for the future :)
Great tutorial ❤
Thank you, glad you found it helpful 🙂🙌🏻
I want you to move to Cubase. I'd love to see all your stuff in Cubase ❤
Alas, I don’t see it happening 🙂 I am team Ableton for a foreseeable future 😬

yea, sit, click, listen, repeat. The fun stuff is recording, writting and performing...Mixing is kinda just repetitious@@EDMTips
Can we talk about that bass?!?!
Allah senden razı olsun kral
Good very very nice 👍
What is the name of this song?🤔
I haven't finished it yet but check out my previous video on AI vocals, you can hear the full version as it is now :)
Hell Yea 😃
Appreciate it! 🙌🙏
isnt this the song Will made with AI ? hahaah omg i love it
Yes, it is indeed the same song 🙂 Great of you to spot this! 🙌🏻
Can you make Martinez brothers style
Thanks for the suggestion, I will add it to my list 🙂🙌🏻🙏🏻
😍😍😍
Thank you, glad you liked it 🙌🏻🙏🏻👍🏻
Its increidble no more. I think the tecnhology dosn't have end
Eh?
Great video! What is that Dua Lipa Song?
Not Dua Lipa. He has another video titled "How I made a track using only AI" that shows how he created that track.
@@thebluerook6972 aah got it, thanks
this is a great record lol
Thanks so much, I enjoyed making it :)
ai nectar 4 did you see the price
Nope, I have not
@@EDMTips haha ok, i love your tutorials but nectar is €329.00 little to mutch for a betroom producer
I'm finding the mirroring of Will quite jarring. It very frequent and obvious, especially with text on his shirt.
Thanks for the feedback, I will take it in the account!
Those generated backing vocals sound terrible - too aligned with not enough formant variance to sound convincing.
Thanks for the feedback, Steve!
@@EDMTips Still, excellent video as usual - high standard.
Thank you so much, I really appreciate the support 🙏🏻
