I've got the same pattern. Good sales for a few hours or even days, and then somebody flips the switch and I'm dead in the water. I've been selling on Ebay for 24 years; this On/Off pattern has only been happening for the last 2 or 3. I think it's somehow tied to Ebay building its own server farm.
Same here I sent 10 + offers average daily Thurs - Saturday was dead & Sunday I had 9 sales & already 4 sales on Monday

Ok, this is weird. I sold nothing last week. Had a few watchers, made offers, nothing came of it. Come Sunday night I LITERALLY had 7 sales pour in too!!! I did nothing either!!! This is WAY weird. Same exact story. I Have been a full-time reseller since 1995, that's 28 years! I have never in my life seen eBay run like this. Back in the day I used to sell 49 items a day and I ran several stores now I'm down to one store but I have always sold something daily at least and sometimes up to 49 items a day so I don't know what's going on, but this is no conspiracy theory. LOL It’s a fact!!
Hi Chris! Sales have been the same here as well; on and off light switch. I’ve been trying to not let it get to me (which is not that easy 😅) and continue to find gems out in the wild and list them. Thank you for all you do!
I am trying to stay postive as well. I have quite a bit of good stuff tucked away in my deathpile. Can't wait to get this Hwy 127 yard sale over so I can get back to listing!

The store turning on is something the wife and I talk about every week. Crickets, and then back to back to back sales and we’ll joke that eBay has turned on for today… and then a few hours later crickets again. You’re not crazy and It’s not just you, bro.

Yes, I agree, E-Bay has been very inconsistent and bad for last year. Cannot figure it out. We list consistently etc. We had sales before and after the weekend you made this video. However over the weekend we had a good Saturday, but then nothing for 2 days with no recovery until Wednesday. Have been on ebay for over 10 years and never had 0 days until this year. I agree something is wrong.
This has been one of the toughest years I have ever had for consistency. My sales are down about 12% compared to last year.

Also…. Don’t get discouraged by the slow sales. It’s the end of July…. It’s been our experience in store and online that at the end of the summer, sales usually tank a little bit…. People are doing their last bit of vacationing and buying school supplies. So there that in the financial end…. However we have noticed even in like grocery stores that a lot of grocers are having to throw away a lot of produce and whatnot…. People just aren’t buying as much as they were… it WILL get better

Sunday the 16th was down for me, the Sunday before and this past Sunday was better. The week leading up to the 16th was strange, I was down all week except for a $715 Tuesday. It's been like a roller coaster ride here lately, a lot of ups and downs, with no rhyme or reason why. I'm just going to keep doing what I do and hope it straightens out by Q4.

I had a good weekend. 7 orders went out today. Which is good for me. But now I suspect I may have one or two sales for the rest of the week. Ebay is so inconsistent for me. Oh well. Just gotta keep plugging away.

I think it's that the end of June to mid July usually is slow... everybody's out in the sun... plus the Amazon Prime sale kinda tanked everything in my stores that particular week.. But last weekend... sales exploded... haven't seen anything like it for awhile, and sold some big tickets in with the usual mix.

I had no sales that weekend at all. I am new to ebay and this is wildly sporadic. 1 week with no sales then boom 3 in as many hours.
Seems to be the New ebay way! Drives me nuts!
In my opinion ebay promotes corporations during peak hours and blocks our items from view. Most of our sales happens overnight
Mine are the opposite. Most of mine are during the mornings and early evenings. I get very few in the middle of the night.
I agree something was going on with ebay on the 17th i sold 5 orders totaling $180. I usually sell something every 2 to 3 days and is usually $25 to $50. right now its been 4 days since i sold anything even tho i been listing 3 to 4 items a day, Im doing this part time

What if Ebay is shaking us up to lower our prices ? We know how the people running it are ethical and business wise . Would it be hard to emagine they turn us off to get us to lower prices or force us to change things passively
I don't think they are trying to get us to lower our prices. (That would hurt them too much) I think they are trying to get us to promote higher which would make them more money.
Sunday was a hot selling day for sure and I had the highest item count for sales this weekend this year. I averaged 7-8 sales per day this week. I think that is up 1 or 2 per day from last week. A few resellers from different areas of the US were saying their sales were a little slow this weekend. I just try and stay consistent and let eBay be eBay. lol. It is interesting that we both had great weekend sales since we live so close to each other.

I am so over this crap on ebay!!! Bad, bad week with 12 sales between 16-19th, then no sales 20 & 21, 1 sale on the 23rd and 1 today 😡
I know the owner of Honey Bee Stamps, Melissa, used to be on her design team when she first started, lol. I actually ended a few things to take to the vintage market we did this weekend and sold them for considerably less than what I would have made on ebay.
That is really neat that you know the owner! I am just trying to keep positve (for the most part) and hopefully it will pick up and be more consistent soon!
I agree something is going on with EBay, I have gone days with maybe 2 sales, I even dropped most of my prices, it’s really frustrating, and I’ve been getting offers for the same items over and over, I find that really odd!

With ebay, I might be making vids with 6 orders sometimes lol.
