For his I used vegan butter and olive oil.. in place of the bacon grease..and the vegan boullion of course…everything else I believe was the same..he really liked it…thanks for watching!! 🤗

It depends Beth, if you have your burner on med-high it’s maybe 45 minutes or so…just test your desired tenderness with a fork. But be careful not to get it mushy. 😊
Now I have to go and cook some bacon so I have bacon grease because I just bought a new house and when the lovely people from my caregivers family move to me they decided to leave thousands of dollars worth of food and utensils behind in the refrigerator and freezer! I lost my little bacon grease pot and my bacon grease and many other things of great sentimental value!!

I loved your recipe except for the bacon grease. I would have kept the first son out the video though…he came across as rude and disrespectful. The second son, Isaac was more malleable and willing to help.
Your son is rude and he will stop others from making your dish. You look like he hurt your feelings cause he wuld have hurt mine. If it wasnt good my son would had said it was delicious just to support me. Dont get offended just letting you know as a viewer.

This looks GREAT! Do I suppose to add any water or broth to the pot? There's lots of liquid in yours once the cabbage cooks down.
