Quick note. I'm including all of this info because when I was starting out, I found it really difficult to figure out what gear to use, so I'm hoping if there's anyone looking to set up for RUclips, this might help. If you need more help just email me, kev at coffeeblog.co.uk - if I don't know the answer I'll ask the professionals.
I'm listing the current setup first that the pros are using, and then my original more budget setup.

I forgot to say - the milkies in this video were all with Oat (Moma) so if you're wondering if it'll do OK with Oat, there's your answer 😎

I have this machine and can confirm its a good machine if you want great coffee without the full manual process.

Thanks for that. Have you noticed anything (positive or negative) from using the machine that you think I missed in the review? Ta, Kev

@@Coffee_Kev i think you covered it very well as always. My favorite positives is true double shot and bean adapt which works well in my opinion. Negative - hot water shoot splashes a bit... nothing major bad just a tad annoying.

Thanks for this helpful review. The DeLongi website has only vague info about a product which is considered a large investment for most people.

Looks like the Revelia isn't available in the USA. I hope it turns up soon. Thanks for a great video Kev.

What great machine. Easy switching that works would be useful to me. I just single dose my Sage Touch Impress, which defeats the point of its built-in grinder. Oh well.

    • @Coffee_Kev
      @Coffee_Kev  18 дней назад

To be fair I don't think single dosing defeats the object, they're not really made for single dosing but then most grinders aren't. If you get the silicone bellows extension you can get for a few quid to allow you to blow out the exchanged retention, personally I think single dosing is a valid choice on integrated grinder machines, and is approximately 50 billion times better than using pre-ground 😆.

Excellent review, thank you! Based on your reviews mainly, I'm going to get either this or the Sage Barista Touch Impress.
Which would you recommend for someone who is really into their coffee, has to make great espresso and milk coffee, but also doesn't necessarily want to go through the most effort?
Asked differently I guess, is the relative increase in effort to dial in and operate the Sage worth it over this one for the difference in quality?
    Really torn between the two!

Thanks 😊👍. The Rivelia is very impressive as far as bean to cup machines go, and the cup quality, especially where milkies are concerned, is among the best I've experienced from a bean to cup, even up there with the likes of the Gaggia Accademia and Bravilor sprso, which are close to £2k. But comparing it with portafilter machines, we're talking about true portafilter espresso vs bean to cup espresso.
You're never (well, it's doubtful) going to get the same level of extraction from a bean to cup machine with very few grind settings and an automated brewing unit, Vs dialling in using a traditional basket and taking care with puck prep. So it depends on your palate really, if you currently use a pod machine and/or drink a lot of instant, then you'll probably find the Rivelia a big upgrade, especially if you use decent beans - and you can't really get much more convenient than a one touch bean to cup. If you're already accustomed to true portafilter espresso though, although the espresso from this machine isn't a million miles away, it probably won't quite hit the spot, and even with bean adapt you have a limited scope for dialling in. Cheers.

Very helpful video! Do you have any experience using the Primadonna Soul? I am trying to decide between the Rivelia and Primadonna. Not interested in cold coffee so Eletta Explore off my list. Any thoughts would be welcome, thanks

Thank you for the detailed review. I’m a very keen espresso drinker, how good is the espresso/ Ristretto from this machine? Does it make proper thick créma or does it just air/ make soap like crema? Thanks

@@mostafamogad6002 What is your question exactly ? Bought this device like 4-5 days ago so I can maybe help you...
I'm not sure if I understand your question like fully but you dont select how much froth you want on device, you select it on milk container (or lattecrema hot if you wanna call it like that), you got 3 options (wich is 1st - low ammount of froth, 2nd - medium ammount of froth and 3rd - high ammount of froth). I've recently tested "hot milk" and device suggested me to put on 3rd option (high ammount of froth) for best result, and my hot milk ended up with really alot of froth that made is so much better...
