I'm pretty sure we've all been there, whether the stylist cut 1 inch or 12 inches it will feel short to any of us. Your hair looks fantastic and ur amazing

Medium is like shoulder length, and long is what she has. And its still plenty to hide behind. 4 inches is nothing. Do you get annoyed at someone who looks at an indigo colour and sees it as purple while you see it as blue? If you're getting annoyed at what length someone thinks their hair is, you need to divert your emotions somewhere more significant.
Hi, Katie I had 80 cm long hair, which was down to my butt. I cut it off to about an inch below my shoulders and I now love it more... Especially considering my hair was over 6 inches thick, I had it thinned and I was not even upset the tiniest bit. I guess people deal with it differently.

When you dyed your hair to the pink/purply colour, I really did not think that you could have had a better colour than that. But THIS tops the cake!! I love that you made this transition, you really don't look like the typical little asian girl anymore. You look like a grown ass woman!
Ekaty i like the blended rooty look - very in now :) plus it's waaaay lower maintenance this way. you usually have to go in every month to touch up bleached hair, but i haven't been in for over two months and it still looks nicely blended! :)
Ekaty plus much healthier for your hair. I love the root look being in so if I ever get my hair bleached and the hair dresser mucks it up, it will grow back, I'm thankful ha.

Renee L yes, it's supposed to be darker at the roots and blended into the lighter color :) we left about 1 inch of my natural roots that he blended with a darker lilac on top. i like the rooty look, and it's also a lot easier to manage when you don't have to commit to touch-ups so often! and thank you :)

JeyTang thanks girl! i actually didn't bleach it completely to the roots. we left a bit of a blended rooty look so that i don't have to commit to touch-ups as often :) so it depends on how much root i want to leave (i like about an inch of root showing).

I had two times in my life where I had to cut my hair REALLY short (and by that I mean, from where the boobie area is to my jawline)...I remembered both times were done by different hairdressers, and both of them were staring at me like if I was on crack when I agreed to do so straightaway without any hesitation. I think it's cos I hated my long tangled hair so much I didn't care as much, even though I did feel a lil something something the second time but not really. My hair was in a bad condition due to the way I bleached it, so I could dyed my hair pink and then green after pink fades. The lesson I learnt from that was to not leave your bleach in for too long (just for you to be lazy about not having to bleach your hair several times). I think unless it's for good reasons like bad hair quality/I want to do it for sure, I would be sad if my hair gets chopped off. I love this pastel purple hair and how it turned out.

not at all! definitely a lot less maintenance than the purple/pink color that i had before. and when the lilac fades, you can very easily tone it back up with purple shampoo or toner since your hair will still be white/silver :)

There are many reasons why someone would prefer long hair over short other than being afraid of what people think. Coming from someone who had a pixie-cut for a while, I personally like having long hair better because I don't have to get it trimmed as often.

I had two times in my life where I had to cut my hair REALLY short (and by that I mean, from where the boobie area is to my jawline)...I remembered both times were done by different hairdressers, and both of them were staring at me like if I was on crack when I agreed to do so straightaway without any hesitation. I think it's cos I hated my long tangled hair so much I didn't care as much, even though I did feel a lil something something the second time but not really. My hair was in a bad condition due to the way I bleached it, so I could dyed my hair pink and then green after pink fades. The lesson I learnt from that was to not leave your bleach in for too long (just for you to be lazy about not having to bleach your hair several times). I think unless it's for good reasons like bad hair quality/I want to do it for sure, I would be sad if my hair gets chopped off. I love this pastel purple hair and how it turned out.
can I ask, how many bleaching sessions did it take to get your hair from dark to white light? and how much did it cost? I'm planning on doing the same and was wondering what I should expect for cost
is it safe to bleach your hair twice and then dye it the same day, like she did?

not at all! definitely a lot less maintenance than the purple/pink color that i had before. and when the lilac fades, you can very easily tone it back up with purple shampoo or toner since your hair will still be white/silver :)

There are many reasons why someone would prefer long hair over short other than being afraid of what people think. Coming from someone who had a pixie-cut for a while, I personally like having long hair better because I don't have to get it trimmed as often.
