I love the aphogee 💖 that’s what I used here, except for the conditioner cause I was trying to avoid silicones. I’ve been using it every other week along with olaplex 3 to help my hair as best I can 🤞🏻
You said you have some grey hair and I thought oh you're like my friend who started turning grey when she was 18. I thought you were like in your early twenties, and then you said the kids are finally in bed. I was so confused!
I dyed my sisters brown hair today & its not the shade she wants, so now I'm looking up vids to improve my work, it was my first time dyeing hair & its not terrible honestly!
@@vcoral87 she has brown hair and wanted a pastel pink/purple, but we only bleached it once so it’s a bit of a strawberry red/orange 😬 We probably are dyeing it again in a week or two, bleaching again & maybe some manic panic with conditioner after that 😊
Its beautiful !! It will be easier to do the roots every inch, as you know they only take 10 mins or so and if you put pink on top you dont need pure white xx
I’m still working on perfecting the root touch up 😅 I currently have blue and I’m itching for pink again! This makes sense, I just have to keep up with upkeep. Thank you!
@@vcoral87 I was walking along with 4 other female colleagues and all 5 of us had the same dark brown hair with a fringe !! I decided it was time to change and have been pink for a year now :) x
Wow, a full year! 😱 I wish I could keep a color that long. Seems like I’m still trying to find the ideal shade for my skin tone. Which brand of pink do you use?
Damage is inevitable, but have a deep conditioner and protein treatment on hand and it’ll be fine! Also, highly recommend the ion absolute perfection color booster. It’s a bond builder similar to olaplex. You can add it to your bleach mixture and significantly reduce the damage. I have a video on it explaining how to use it if you wanna check it out. I’m an enabler but I would say go for it 😂 I hope this helps!
the firs lift is all that was needed to achieve the pink… it was perfect for a firs time lift i wish i could have gotten that lift my first time on bundles
Thanks so much! ☺️ I’m glad it was helpful! Make sure to treat your curls to some protein and deep moisture afterwards, a little tlc 👌🏻 Lemme know how it goes!
A lot of people don't realize that a lot of people get their first grey hairs in their teens and 20s anyway! It's completely normal and isn't a good indicator of your biological age, believe it or not :)
It’s a shame that it’s viewed as an age indicator. I’m thinking about embracing the grays, I just have too much fun with color 😄 This makes me feel better, thank you! 💖
See I wish I could have your attitude about not being opposed to the pixie cut!! You so have the face to do a pixie! I so don’t!! LOL I’d look like Mrs potatoe head! 😂
Hey! Was the brown your natural color? Because usually it takes one time bleach session to get it all to a blonde when its your natural hair. I am asking because i also want to bleach my hair to a silvery blonde to get the pastel color i want but if it will take a couple bleach sessions i will rethink hahaha. I love how your hair turned out. ^-^
Hi! So brown is my natural color, but I have some semi permanent color on, because I dyed it a few months back to cover the grays and some highlights. So that’s why it took 2 sessions. It’ll take a few tries, but be patient, and also if you feel like you have a lot of hair, don’t be afraid to just do half, rinse it off, and then tackle the other half cause I know it can feel like a race to get all that bleach on. Lemme know how it turns out! 👏🏻💖
Hi! I left it on around 45 minutes. You can leave it on up to an hour (if necessary), but bleach stops working after that time. Hope this helps! Good luck!
I tried to time it to 45, but most sections were on for about an hour since I kept running out of bleach mix 😅 but I highly suggest doing it in sections! If I could do it over I would have probably rinsed off half my head before tackling the other half 👍🏻 hope this helps!
I wanna re do my hair so bad lol but I’m so nervous for some reason!! I’m like you I’ll rock a pixie cut if I have to but idk why I’m struggling to change my hair when I really wanna change my hair 😂 COVID has me reevaluating my actions more then I normally would when it comes to my hair 😂😂😂😂
LooksNBookswithTina i know!!! I honestly went back and forth for a while before taking the plunge. Had the bleach sitting in my closet for a month until I just went for it. It’s hard, covid has us all reevaluating everything 😅 go for it if you’re in the mood for a challenge!
Hi! 👋🏻 I left it in for about an hour, and I just mixed it with conditioner to dilute the color. All I needed was a hint of purple (not too intense) to tone down the pink. Hope this helps!
@@simolimo6198 I I didn’t measure it, sorry! I just had a little left over so I mixed it with quite a bit more conditioner. The idea is to tone down the pink, so more conditioner than purple dye is key. Good luck! Let me know how it goes!
Male femboy here (feminine freak) I’m looking to dye my hair pink because it matches my style pink skirts, pink and black nails, black thigh highs, and white jacket etc etc just matches my style
This is smart, I think in my head I just had the mindset of platinum blonde so I went for it again. The damage can be brutal so knowing when to tone is so important. Thanks for this!
Depends on your hair color and the shade of pink you want. If you want a true light pink, then bleached hair is preferable, unless you have very light hair to begin with. For darker shades of pink your hair doesn’t have to be extremely blonde. Hope this helps!
I have family Christians and family in the army and I know nothing about dark rainbow things they had instructions to keep me pure and smart for 2020 war
Hi baby. Do you have Twitter? @JamesPrada9 - I am thinking about pink hair... I have already almost blond since yesterday. But I am thnking about RED also... FOXY red... Any advise?
Hi! Those all sound like great color options! The difference will be how blonde your hair is. The reds take well on darker shades of blonde. Your base blonde can be brassy and that's not going to impact the color. Pink on the other hand, really needs as light of a blonde as possible to actually look pink. If it has too much of that yellow brassyness, then it's going to look more peach/ orange instead of pink. I hope this helps, good luck!
@@vcoral87 There is DMDM hydantoin in the protein treatment. A Formaldehyde donor. A good protein treatment that is better and far less messy and sticking is iON reconstructor. Just a note. It may be far down the list, but it will cause problems down the line. It's even worse because it's in both bottles. I find it ironic considering they are meant to help with damage, yet its cause damage all on its own. And a lot of these "Curly girl friendly" products actually contain it too. Just be mindful of it, even now so that you are color-treated.
@@dcarmeto omg thanks for that! I’ll be on the hunt for a different protein treatment then. I’m actually not fully following the curly girl method, as I sometimes use sulfates, but that particular ingredient you mentioned is just bad/ toxic overall 😳 thanks for looking out! I think I'm going through a midlife crises but thinking of dying my hair pink! IM 40!!! This is motivation for me to do it myself!
