- In this episode I head to a new "roach" lake in Suffolk for some predator fishing a good morning with a couple of jack pike on the bank left me itching to get back out there in the new year !

I see that you use fishing alarm and those fishing bobber - while using a float.
Does that even work in combination?!?
I thought that you can only use bottom feeder style with weight on the bottom of the lake if you wanna use alarm?!
Why don't you use that method instead?

I usually find low pressure has the best results around 1000hpa or under
Awesome video mate, dropped you a sub. How would you go about fishing a quarry? I'm new to pike fishing but I've only had one out this year. It's crazy deep in places. It's an old clay quarry with an average depth of about 10ft. No idea what to do. Tried pop ups, bottom, popped up the length of a trace, kebab rig, nothing doing. Think my location might be the issue. Where do pike sit this time of year?
Firstly feel free to DM me that location 🤣 i always find pike will always seem to follow the bait fish find them and the pike won't be far behind !
Nice like the single hook method that's how I always fish for pike who needs all the trebles getting hooked everywhere. An easier way to unhook the fish. Good video mate.

I Drag Dead Baits, Slowly, Pike Like Movement, I Have Never Failed On The Broads, Just Splash The Rod Tip Slowly, Its A Invite Like Curiosity Killed The Cat, Old Ways Of Fishing Never Fail, But The Broads Is A Musts.
I do love twitching a sprat every now and then ,I fish the boards regularly ive had some absolute chunks out !
I live in Suffolk, near Stowmarket and I'm trying to suss out where this is.

Nice couple of little pike mate. Iv just started fishing again after 12 years out. Iv completely forgot how to fish and the way u handle those pike with co confidence is fantastic. Iv not looked at any other videos at the moment but could u maybe make a video or point me to a video on how to handle pike and what equipment and set up is good to use. Nice fish fella 👍🏻 at what point are you striking? I.e are you letting your float go under a couple of times first in case it’s nibbling? I’ve caught pike on lures but dead baiting for the first time tomorrow. Cheers
It depends on how the takes are on the day to be honest mate , sometimes they take the bait and run but others they nip them and spit them before taking them properly, I prefer to strike early to start with and adjust the wait time accordingly to how the bites are, never more than 5 -10 seconds at most for me though , Id prefer to loose a fish than have a deeply hooked one.

Try a large piece of fresh salmon belly trim mate, lethal and a bait heavily fished locations hardly ever see. Great video, particularly skilled editing.

@@bhfishing8572 the trim from the bottom of a salmon fillet with the skin and pelvic fin still attached stays on the hook perfectly, the pike love it. Full of oil, visible with the white skin and pink flesh and deadly, give it a go you'll be amazed.

Tbh I thought he was just a bit too keen, personally I would've given it a bit longer before winding down.
That is some set up with gear lad. I thought I carried a bit. But good luck with it. I think I’d do better dead baiting mainly because I don’t flick those lures to well. 👍🏻🇦🇺👍🏻
