Pike fisherman myself and completely recognised that out of breath adrenaline excitement after a big pike . I get the same way . So exciting and to catch a fish like that in that setting on a lake like that . Can't beat it . Class !!
Irish Pike fisherman here aswell, i love it, hate seen so many lakes been turned into carp lakes or trout lakes and pike been culled or removed over time, lovely fish you caught, subbed
I am a keen course fisherman, never fished the winter, so today chose to pursue Pike fishing this year. You were the first to come up on youtube, and i shall stick with you! Really nice fish that mate, tight lines my friend!
It’s great to see a lake that’s actually fishable .. anywhere around me is either inaccessible or property of the matchmen.. I invested in top notch fox gear but nowhere to fish Nonetheless a great down to earth video thoroughly entertaining
Great Lake. How is it fishing recently. Last time I went it didn’t look fishable. I got an 11kg pike there about just over a year ago with a silver spoon along the grass casting where you’re sitting.
@@louthpike well I went twice since I caught the big pike hadn’t much time but both time the algae was covering all the sides where grass was. I wasn’t dead baiting so only could cast into the middle of the lake. But might pop down again soon and see what it’s like
Also subbed. Did you ever try dead eel? Fished Ireland a couple of times and for bottom fishing the locals advised cut up dead eel and perch. I never tried it. Just curious!
This looks like lake close Lough Oughter if haven’t been check some them out in Cavan the county of lakes. Man is right it’s all about getting out doors and of course always be respectful of your environment leave no trace.
