      @@samarrowsmith1396 I was studying for my molecular genetics course, I couldn't visualize the mismatch repair system so I searched "DNA mismatch repair" on youtube. This was the second recommendation.
      PS. It's a great video. I recently learned the basics of blender, I will also try making such nice little animations just for fun.

      Pol I is for proof reading and Nick translation (replacing RNA primers between Okazaki fragments). Pol III is for elongation, so the video is correct.

    Kindly tell mismatch repair of e. Coli and eukaryotes differs? Pls answer as soon as possible.

    • @samarrowsmith1396
      @samarrowsmith1396  3 года назад

      Hi Maheen, I realise this is a VERY late reply on my part so I can only apologise. I imagine my hesitation to answer this question is because I don't fully know the answer myself. There are analogues of the mismatch proteins across life, but the difficulty comes of looking at things within the chromatin environment. Making an accurate animation of the movement of histones and unzipping the DNA strands that have been exposed would be a comparative nightmare (for me anyway, there are probably skilled animators who could try making a representation of this). The wikipedia article for mismatch repair has a basic outline of the analogues: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DNA_mismatch_repair
