I just hope that they introduce a draft mode sometime soon not necessarily soon but like you know early next year would be nice conquest is great for the hardcore but man some of us love draft
Pausing to comment after the Agatha chat. Not claiming to be an Agatha expert but I did get Infinite with her once - Loki is great for her. Quinjet being your only 1 drop means she'll play it if you have it (as you would), Domino to control 2 and further thin the deck with Chavez and then you've now got 3 good options to play around Agatha's weakness in Wave, Sif and now Loki who gets the +1 card benefit as discussed. Obviously not "tier 1" but she's, in the few games I've played with her this season, much more reliable and also is great right now because opponents with Loki may end up having her in hand and not getting to control their final turns which is game over so often.
Only twelve minutes into the episode, but I've already heard something that I felt needed a comment. You mentioned the crazy cost reduction of old school zabu or a sera paired with onslaught. Well, I've been playing a super greedy deck lately where the best play lines include playing mystique on either Zabu or Sera, and using magik for an extra turn to make use of those cost reductions. After that, it's Dark Hawk and Devil Dino as the powerhouses. Dark Hawk tends to be a bit weak by the end of turn seven, on his own, but a moon girl doubling up on Rock Slide and Absorbing Man can easily boost his power right back up to game winning levels. Similarly, playing four or five cards on the final turn usually makes for a fairly weak Dino, but Nick Fury can help boost that back up as well. Lastly, Shang-Chi doubled up with Moon Girl or Absorbing Man can really turn a game around at the last minute. It's not uncommon for a bad draw to mean you don't play anything until turn three, but if that first card is Magik, and you have sera in hand, you've still got a good shot at winning the game.
i wish loki would be a 4 cost but with the effect to shuffle the cards back in your deck instead of replacing them would be great for a lockjaw deck if you have all the high cost cards in yout hand.

One more thing on the potential pairing of Beast with Loki: get squirrels, -2 ninjas or raptors? Bounce them back with Beast, then Loki them so they're potentially something better!
Don't sleep on snow guard as an enable either. 1 cost that adds 2 cards is incredibly flexible, both with Loki or devil Dino. That's ignoring actually using the bear/hawk should they be useful
Seems like one of the best counters to Loki will be Discard decks as acquiring Discard cards might just clog your hand and not work with whatever cards you brought.
Unfortunately Mr. Negative will not be playable after this month... First Loki is an absolute counter to Neg. Secondly Triple M just destroys it as well...
Okay, so I’m just saying don’t Loki when there’s a Mindscape 😂 I just got my cards back a hell of ton cheaper playing Silver Sera and I had just played Sera too so it was just a huge discount. Also Loki is a Silver Surfer add on now which is sick.
2 Mobiuses should mean that nobody gets any cost reductions, not that yours are enabled again. He's an Ongoing card, however, so the usual suite of Ongoing counters (Rogue, Enchantress, and the occasional lucky Echo) will counter him.

Loki has a lot of potential. I like the callout about him just giving you massive intel in conquest. Also him being a solid stat-line helps when you have a bad hand going into turn 5 or 6. You can just toss him out and get some other winning lines if yours aren't working out. Loki will at the very least be a fun card to use. Remember though he wont regenerate your hand to 7 each time, just replace what's already there ( I think). Hopefully he works with Collector.

Aiolth itself isn't super crazy but how are they going to say ramped Galactus and Aiolth is going to be balanced? Even before you could still win with smart plays against a ramped Galatcus and play the odds by guessing their deck. You could rogue their Knull or Shang-Chi any big play. But Aiolth makes is a 0% chance to win. The game is all about reading your opponents deck, guessing their best possible play, and playing the odds. There's a reason why Spider-Man's ability continually got reworked and removed and Galactus's ability constantly got reworked.
Not gonna lie, but every season seems to be labelled "best season ever" when it might just reinforce a prior season and not break the mold. I think it's just gonna be 'okay'.

I wonder if Loki is having the reverse reception of Legion. When Legion was coming, the content creators collectively said: HE'S A MEME CARD!!!. A month later: HE MIGHT BE THE BEST CARD IN THE GAME!
Doesn't work like that. Loki is an On Reveal effect, not Ongoing. Every time that you do the Loki effect, you lose your hand and get copies with -1 cost, so the cost reduction doesn't stack.
It will if you also steal Quinjet each time which is not going to be unlikely. There are going to be hundreds of players using those two cards. I bet we'll see alot of Loki/Quinjet board mirror matches on day 1. Edit: Sera problematic too with -2 cost from Loki + quinjet
OK HEAR ME OUT A deck with Rockslide and Korg, Darkhawk, Dino, Moon Girl (to duplicate the collector) and turn on 6 (or even 7 with Magik) you play Loki on Wong for a major swing on your collectors who remain low until last turn (maybe even behind Invisible Woman) 2 Collectors that remain below Chi until the last moment and above Elektra/Killmonger. Sandman could work in keeping your opponents hand big and Ronan could benefit, Black Widow could help too for their deck size. This is also a way to NOT have Loki being a dead card for end turns while having extra win conditions with Dino/Hawk/Ronan. Can you consider this theory crafting?
I think turn 6 loki could also be potentially a strong play in those style of decks. In theory Coulson + Loki + a 7 card swap for collector is a 16 power play that keeps your dino max stacked? Seems strong to me in those types of decks. Obviously the taking their cards and playing them being a fun powerful line, but you're getting to choose as the game develops on which seems stronger for those last few turns.

Mobius counters, Loki, Ravonna, Wave, Sera, Zabu, Beast, QuinJet, Death, SheHulk, Shocker(HE), Mr Negative, Baron Mordo, Spiderham (partially), IceMan, IceBox, Dream Demension and Elysium. In addition to being extremely powerful, he also counters himself in a Mirror Match, this means your cost reduction will not work if both players have him on board, all cards are base cost for the remainder of the match. - That is excessively strong and needs adjustment - Mobius vs Mobius should give BOTH players the UPSIDE of his effect i.e Can't have cost increased, in addition to MITIGATION of the DOWNSIDE, Can't have costs reduced, otherwise cost reduction becomes obsolete due to fear of MmM existence. Second dinner may be forced to redesign cost based cards.
Love the podcast as always. Just a thought for a potential topic, with the devs confirming on discord there will be a new card text ability coming (like on reveal, ongoing etc) could be a good topic to discuss what they could add. I like the idea of transform becoming an arcetype, I dunno what character they use but have a collector style +2 for each card that transformed this game. Cards like morph, loki and spider ham could have their texts updated to match plus new cards added
What I want to know is specifically does this bring back Wave She-Hulk Death turn 6. Will wave supercede Mobius as they've said it should everything. I'm thinking no. And that's exciting. You could then turn 6 play She-Hulk, Death, and Arnim Zola or Knull or if you make it to turn 7 with Nimrod down it's Venom and Carnage. Just wild. It's back to the lab again.

I have only half the cards and my level is 2130, but I managed to get an infinity conquest today, many thanks to you for putting out amanzing videos with Coccia. I got lucky to get High Evo and managed to win with a not so good deck overall (no She Hulk, no Jeff, no Hazmat...) I came here to say thank you!
Arent you afraid Mobius wil actually break Marvel Snap? Loki creates an archetype, Mobius can destroy multiple types of decks. What's the point of playing Sera? Mr Negative you have to get lucky with the draw, And you can't get mobius'd. Right now, Zabu decks that don't draw Zabu don't really stack up to other decks. What happens when Zabu no longer works?
51:25 why not Sandman. Now it doesn't matter what you discounted for that 'Miracle' play. You're playing one card too. Or Leech. Leech is already in mine and most people's Evolved She-Naut decks. Good for you you discounted that Darkhawk. He's trash now. I think a leader, leech, Sandman Doom kind of thing is gonna be a strong and inexpensive counter this season for sure in the same way the Evolved She-Naut popped up in August.
I'm thinking Ravonna/Mobius Sera Surfer deck. I'm thinking you magic, turn 6 wave, and then slam the board turn 7 with things like Bishop and hit monkey and ironheart and Wolfsbane and surfer. Just bam. Maybe a more dependable route to what Negative Surfer does. I'm also trying to think about how Loki would work with Surfer but I still don't see it.
Just strategizing in my head but could you do Collector (2) and then quinjet & psylocke (3) Sera (4) Loki (5) and then play a lot of cards turn 6? trying to work out when you'd actually likely want to play Loki. Would be Magik be helpful as you'd get a turn 7 to really churn out some power?
Yeah Mobius is a winner here. Just Mobius turn 2, Wave turn 3 and Galactus free to go. Conlusion? Mobius will be in every deck and everyone be countering everyone XD So Ravonna useless and Alioth only good to counter Hela hiding behind Invisible woman. Loki just for fun. Only Mobius matters.
As someone who loves discount decks with Quinjet, Zabu this season is like a dream! Loki, Ravonna, Mobius are must have! Saving all caches and tokens for them
Cozy, killing it every week with the production and orchestration of everything - and Alex, as self-deprecating and humble as he is, constantly stepping up his game and bringing the heat. You guys are always making electricity, thank you for all the great shows! Monthly projections - Loki will be one of the most fun cards in the game but not consistent enough to be tier 1, Alioth will be oppressive when the right priority/control home is found, Ravonna will feel busted for a week (when you draw her) until she disappears from the meta for many weeks, and Mobius will be meta-warping and become one of the top 2 two-drops in the game. Sept will be the month of more extremes than any other month this year ... I guess we'll see 🤔
Do we know whether both players playing MMM will mean: A) no-one can adjust cards' energy? OR B) everyone can adjust cards' energy again? Do they overlap with, or cancel each other?

I know when your with friends and making content it can be easy to slip some fun quipy comments out. I do want to say as a follower of Jesus I don’t really enjoy hearing people use text directly from the Bible that describes Jesus to talk about other people. I know Revonna looks really good, but she is far from The Way, The Truth and The Life. Jesus is the way to eternal life, the way for us flawed humans living a full and good life! He is the truth of why we live, to glorify God in everything that we think, say and do! He is the only thing worth living Life for! Bounce for me has never made sense with Collector. Yes when it works it works. But card generation is more consistent. Doesn't matter if you get collector even turn 6 if you can generate cards in the hand. I think that's where he just naturally works better And a Devil Dino on 5, Collector into Loki turn 6 is a great time. However, with Loki, A Bounce Collector deck can be more consistent. Or at least provide an alternate play to the turn 5 or 6 Hitmonkey/Mysterio. That's what is exciting is Bounce can look a little better and it and Devil Dino get more dependable and varied options with Loki.
But the more I think about it Loki just makes things better. A lot of times you find yourself with a dead draw. But turn 3 or 4 you're realizing you may have to retreat. If you can Loki and clear and just mulligan. Obviously doesn't work in every deck but I think he's a better plug and play than first glance would have you assume.
I think mobius Is gonna be too powerful, and i mean TOO MUCH: low costo, good stats , ongoing so its retroactive, counters almost everything and cant be countered on-tempo. Im quite frightened
Alioth is like Galactus. When it happens, game winner. But getting it to happen. Knowing where they will play. It's like Leader and Galactus and Sandman in the sense of having to be ahead in power. It's not the easiest to pull off and replaces the usual finishers in that style. And it's not A Galactus where you control a lane to win. It's trying to control the board so you're ahead in power and they maybe have to play where you want. But people dodge Jean Grey all the time on me so I am passing on him. He'll be too frustrating for me to play personally, and I already have enough cards like that. Looking at you Lady Deathstrike.
I really hope Alioth doesn't end up becoming just gaining prio, cheating a lane with X, and dropping him T6. Lane lock is the lowest form of Marvel Snap

I think you guys might be too hasty to write off late game Loki. He's still 5 power and if you have collector and devil dino out, agent coulson and Loki on turn 6 can be a lot of power across the board. Or even Nick Fury and Loki if you have zabu out too.

Play Loki, get your opponents Loki , Loki again , get another Loki , Loki again , Play Loki. Play opponents doom , cerebro and mystique for 0 cost.
Doesn't work like that. Loki is an On Reveal effect, not Ongoing. Every time that you do the Loki effect, you lose your hand and get copies with -1 cost, so the cost reduction doesn't stack.
It will if you also steal Quinjet each time which is not going to be unlikely. There are going to be hundreds of players using those two cards. I bet we'll see alot of Loki/Quinjet board mirror matches on day 1.
Edit: Sera problematic too with -2 cost from Loki + quinjet

A deck with Rockslide and Korg, Darkhawk, Dino, Moon Girl (to duplicate the collector) and turn on 6 (or even 7 with Magik) you play Loki on Wong for a major swing on your collectors who remain low until last turn (maybe even behind Invisible Woman)
2 Collectors that remain below Chi until the last moment and above Elektra/Killmonger. Sandman could work in keeping your opponents hand big and Ronan could benefit, Black Widow could help too for their deck size. This is also a way to NOT have Loki being a dead card for end turns while having extra win conditions with Dino/Hawk/Ronan.
Can you consider this theory crafting?

I think turn 6 loki could also be potentially a strong play in those style of decks. In theory Coulson + Loki + a 7 card swap for collector is a 16 power play that keeps your dino max stacked? Seems strong to me in those types of decks. Obviously the taking their cards and playing them being a fun powerful line, but you're getting to choose as the game develops on which seems stronger for those last few turns.
Collector should be a great fit for Loki, because you get X-Amount of new Cards in your Hand wich weren´t in your Deck at the Start of the Game.

In addition to being extremely powerful, he also counters himself in a Mirror Match, this means your cost reduction will not work if both players have him on board, all cards are base cost for the remainder of the match.

Mobius vs Mobius should give BOTH players the UPSIDE of his effect i.e Can't have cost increased, in addition to MITIGATION of the DOWNSIDE, Can't have costs reduced, otherwise cost reduction becomes obsolete due to fear of MmM existence. Second dinner may be forced to redesign cost based cards.
Love the podcast as always. Just a thought for a potential topic, with the devs confirming on discord there will be a new card text ability coming (like on reveal, ongoing etc) could be a good topic to discuss what they could add. I like the idea of transform becoming an arcetype, I dunno what character they use but have a collector style +2 for each card that transformed this game. Cards like morph, loki and spider ham could have their texts updated to match plus new cards added
What I want to know is specifically does this bring back Wave She-Hulk Death turn 6. Will wave supercede Mobius as they've said it should everything. I'm thinking no. And that's exciting. You could then turn 6 play She-Hulk, Death, and Arnim Zola or Knull or if you make it to turn 7 with Nimrod down it's Venom and Carnage. Just wild. It's back to the lab again.

I have only half the cards and my level is 2130, but I managed to get an infinity conquest today, many thanks to you for putting out amanzing videos with Coccia. I got lucky to get High Evo and managed to win with a not so good deck overall (no She Hulk, no Jeff, no Hazmat...) I came here to say thank you!
Arent you afraid Mobius wil actually break Marvel Snap? Loki creates an archetype, Mobius can destroy multiple types of decks.
What's the point of playing Sera? Mr Negative you have to get lucky with the draw, And you can't get mobius'd.
Right now, Zabu decks that don't draw Zabu don't really stack up to other decks. What happens when Zabu no longer works?
51:25 why not Sandman. Now it doesn't matter what you discounted for that 'Miracle' play. You're playing one card too. Or Leech. Leech is already in mine and most people's Evolved She-Naut decks. Good for you you discounted that Darkhawk. He's trash now. I think a leader, leech, Sandman Doom kind of thing is gonna be a strong and inexpensive counter this season for sure in the same way the Evolved She-Naut popped up in August.
The other crazy thing with agatha is that it counters other loki decks, because they are screwed if they copy your agatha lmao
I'm thinking Ravonna/Mobius Sera Surfer deck. I'm thinking you magic, turn 6 wave, and then slam the board turn 7 with things like Bishop and hit monkey and ironheart and Wolfsbane and surfer. Just bam. Maybe a more dependable route to what Negative Surfer does.
I'm also trying to think about how Loki would work with Surfer but I still don't see it.
Just strategizing in my head but could you do Collector (2) and then quinjet & psylocke (3) Sera (4) Loki (5) and then play a lot of cards turn 6? trying to work out when you'd actually likely want to play Loki. Would be Magik be helpful as you'd get a turn 7 to really churn out some power?
Yeah Mobius is a winner here. Just Mobius turn 2, Wave turn 3 and Galactus free to go. Conlusion? Mobius will be in every deck and everyone be countering everyone XD So Ravonna useless and Alioth only good to counter Hela hiding behind Invisible woman. Loki just for fun. Only Mobius matters.
As someone who loves discount decks with Quinjet, Zabu this season is like a dream! Loki, Ravonna, Mobius are must have! Saving all caches and tokens for them

Monthly projections - Loki will be one of the most fun cards in the game but not consistent enough to be tier 1, Alioth will be oppressive when the right priority/control home is found, Ravonna will feel busted for a week (when you draw her) until she disappears from the meta for many weeks, and Mobius will be meta-warping and become one of the top 2 two-drops in the game. Sept will be the month of more extremes than any other month this year ... I guess we'll see 🤔

I know when your with friends and making content it can be easy to slip some fun quipy comments out. I do want to say as a follower of Jesus I don’t really enjoy hearing people use text directly from the Bible that describes Jesus to talk about other people. I know Revonna looks really good, but she is far from The Way, The Truth and The Life. Jesus is the way to eternal life, the way for us flawed humans living a full and good life! He is the truth of why we live, to glorify God in everything that we think, say and do! He is the only thing worth living Life for!

Bounce for me has never made sense with Collector. Yes when it works it works. But card generation is more consistent. Doesn't matter if you get collector even turn 6 if you can generate cards in the hand. I think that's where he just naturally works better
And a Devil Dino on 5, Collector into Loki turn 6 is a great time.
However, with Loki, A Bounce Collector deck can be more consistent. Or at least provide an alternate play to the turn 5 or 6 Hitmonkey/Mysterio. That's what is exciting is Bounce can look a little better and it and Devil Dino get more dependable and varied options with Loki.
But the more I think about it Loki just makes things better. A lot of times you find yourself with a dead draw. But turn 3 or 4 you're realizing you may have to retreat. If you can Loki and clear and just mulligan. Obviously doesn't work in every deck but I think he's a better plug and play than first glance would have you assume.
I think mobius Is gonna be too powerful, and i mean TOO MUCH: low costo, good stats , ongoing so its retroactive, counters almost everything and cant be countered on-tempo. Im quite frightened

Alioth is like Galactus. When it happens, game winner. But getting it to happen. Knowing where they will play. It's like Leader and Galactus and Sandman in the sense of having to be ahead in power. It's not the easiest to pull off and replaces the usual finishers in that style. And it's not A Galactus where you control a lane to win. It's trying to control the board so you're ahead in power and they maybe have to play where you want. But people dodge Jean Grey all the time on me so I am passing on him. He'll be too frustrating for me to play personally, and I already have enough cards like that. Looking at you Lady Deathstrike.
I really hope Alioth doesn't end up becoming just gaining prio, cheating a lane with X, and dropping him T6. Lane lock is the lowest form of Marvel Snap
Throw Sera into Patriot and you can zoo the board with Ravonna turn 6. It's wild. And she'll get the plus 2 from Surfer. Ravonna is scarey good.

I think you guys might be too hasty to write off late game Loki. He's still 5 power and if you have collector and devil dino out, agent coulson and Loki on turn 6 can be a lot of power across the board. Or even Nick Fury and Loki if you have zabu out too.
