I think Loki is gonna keep his same stats and abilities but gets nerfed to NOT be able to pull another Loki. When you (or you opponent) is able to get a full hand and REPEATEDLY pull a Loki after playing a Loki, it kinda makes him broken. Outside of that, he’s not terribly broken. Lol

Repeating Variants in spotlight cache is just unacceptable. I remember they said the spotlight variants will only repeat after at least 6 months or so and that is why they encourage people to open the spotlight cache if you really like the variants.
I love that Loki's counters are decks that heavily rely on their combos, like Hela, Mr. negative, Cerebro and the that counters combo deck are countered by Loki
this start of the season as an f2p, i haven’t really been going up against pretty good loki decks since i always play shadow king surfer or cerebro, almost hit infinite too, another one i kinda like is hela idk why but i somehow get pretty good wins with hela when i come across a loki deck
Oh gosh, I feel the intro comment about Marvel Snap originally being a 3-5 minute game and how conquest doesn't always fit with that. Last night I played in match one of Silver Conquest, and I'm guessing it was a bot of some sort, but my opponent took maximum time each turn, even when they had no cards to play, and despite winning 10-0 after six retreats, it must have taken over half an hour. Yeah, I reported the account, but still, that took forever when I was just going to play one more and get off to bed after.
Hela Tribunal took me to Infinite in one day this season. Forge Buster (Vision Slam) is good against Loki decks. Beaten quite a few Loki decks. Cozy don't disrespect Alex with a Shadow King costume 😂
The economy is really bad. I'm sitting on 42K tokens with nothing to spend them on. I'm not spending 5K on Ultimates with a different, more interesting premium variants on the horizon.
If I notice that I'm facing a deck that Loki wouldn't want to take cards from, I just play him on the last turn to buff Collector and to reinforce my Devil Dino lane. Seems to work well.

I've stopped playing because of Loki. Absolutely bonkers. Feels super bad to play against (losing to your own cards but .. better). Needs to be swapped to 5-3 or only replace hand with cards from opponents current deck with minimum 1.
I was trying a Phoenix Force deck since I don't have a Loki. The destroy/move blend creates really good odds when they steal your cards, Very rarely do they end up with carnage/venom, multiple men, and phoenix force + move is so difficult archetype and many players don't know what to do with the cards anyway (myself included lol). I am not super sure how this deck is strong, but so far it worked great for me. I hit Infinite and won many times against Loki. Also, Jeff Hoogland just now released a video about how Phoenix Force is a good counter to Loki, so maybe there really is something here.

No. Mobius is trash. Its a niche card that will be treated like Luke Cage, without any of the synergistic benefits Luke Cage has. You can always use Luke Cage to protect against your own Hazmat or soon Man-Thing, possible locations (especially helpful for cerebro decks). Mobius has no synergy. You use him because Loki, Zabu, Sera exist... but there are so many decks that don't use energy reduction at all that most people would not want Mobius in their deck simply because its a waste of a card slot.
I feel like you could make alioth work in a move deck, cozy. If you have Jeff, vision, silk, phoenix, etc down then you can alioth one lane you're guaranteed to win and move all your movable cards to a second location to win. Although consistency could be a problem since move decks often need a big turn 6, and alioth will be the only thing you play on turn 6
To counter what Alex said: If Loki has to be tuned down then he’s not a perfect season pas card like he says, he’s pay to win. I have him but I don’t play him because every match is a mirror & thats boring. I can see them making the collector effect ongoing or making Loki give back 4 cards max even if you have 6 in hand.
Big agree. Also, I thought about making Collector Ongoing too, but then you can Mystique him so it really makes the problem worse lol. Don't know how they fix this one, other than maybe stopping Loki from synergizing with Collector at all somehow.
Ngl been running running patriot yltron and have been having a hood play with it been playing for a week getting a good grasp of the game and just playing a couple of on going cards then being like haha I’m throwing an Lutron that gives me drones that pulls my lanes to 16-20 plus power
My number 1 most hated card will always be Galactus. It's not close at all. 2-5 are: 2. Leech 3. Shuri 4. Wong 5. Luke Cage (why does everyone play this still even though Evo is a tiny % of the meta? Infuriating)

I have to agree with a lot of your choices there my hate list has: Cable, Ice Man, Shang Chi, Ka-zar, and definitely Kitty Pryde, Cable frustrates me Ice Man always hits the card I wanna play Shang Chi goes without saying Ka-zar decks always show up when I don't have Kilmonger and Kitty Pryde steals games

I think they need to create a new keyword called Static (or something similar) for cards that don't 100% fit ongoing like collector. That way, they can design new ways to deal with these cards. Something I always wondered why is morbious ongoing and collector us not? Their abilities are similar enough that I am not sure why one is ongoing and the other isn't.
You’d think making something ongoing would end up being a nerf, but there’s ways to buff ongoing cards (onslaught, etc) that may even make something like collector even better. I like the idea of a “new” category tho!
Jane Jaw is another good counter. There is no scenario where that's great for Collector. Same with High Evo in there specifically. And it's better against Shuri lists than some of the other things. Also, why don't more people run Cloak in Lockjaw lists. Just throwing that out there.
Loki should be a 3-3 even if morbius is a direct counter to him that is a single series 5 card that has not even been released yet. You compare them to something like colson a 3-4 and the two cards feel leagues apart in what they're capable of
Need to remove the cost reduction. Loki is practically 3 cards in one (Sera, Leader, Modok) while costing less than all 3 of them. Playing him with Quinjet and/or Zabu is nearly unbeatable in most scenarios. He's way OP.
Still don't understand why they think Leech is a fair card. He should, at most, wipe the abilities from just 3 cards in hand, that way you still have a chance, even if it's low. Wiping out all 4-7 cards in one shot is ridiculous.

This past week was the THIRD week in a row it took me all 4 spotlights to get the new card (I didn't have Jeff). I saved up since the beginning and just like that, I'm back to 1-2 a week. This system blows.
My most hated cards tend to be ones I feel "cheat" games by getting a certain lane for free or otherwise cheesing off-meta decks that can't hand-dump. Top 5 being: 1: Valkyrie 2: Prof. X (especially with Daredevil) 3: Juggernaut 4: Shuri 5: Loki for its sheer stat/energy efficiency with no drawbacks.
My five most hated cards: 5. Stegron - I’m just not usually expecting it, and it usually smacks them into the worst location or to a location that buffs their Kraven 4. Cable - you thief that was mine, at least whenever he took the bottom card it was Chavez half of the time 3. Spider-Ham - not nearly as bad as before but he hits my combo pieces pretty consistently 2. Nebula - I don’t usually pack Killmonger, and sometimes I can’t continue to play cards into that location so I have to just calculate her being a 1/9 or a 1/7. 1. Leech - you nailed it, it’s just so frustrating
Last month I got wicked far with leech in my Evo deck. Lots of people did. This month, leech in my Surfer. I can't stand Sera Surfer. I think Surfer is fine without her. But leech turn 5, so many retreats. It destroys so many of the big plays. Taskmaster, venom/Carnage, Knull and death and if they Loki... Okay. You've got a few 3 cost cards but you're already 4 or 5 turns in and my board is better set up. Granted they do have discounted 3 drops but if they Loki before turn 5, I just leech and continue on my way.
Ha!!! Cozy and I called the Alioth Professor X. Been waiting forever for a true destroy lockdown control deck like in MtG. This may push that concept to fruition. Also one thing you guys didn't mention.....Alioth is another Shang Chi counter being able to kill Shang before he can flip. So yeah play big early, then counter their counter with Alioth since you will have priority playing big early. Alioth kills face down cards.....hence their Shang is history u win. Like Armor or Professor X....Alioth is the answer to Shang.
My top 5 most hated cards are: 1. HE Cyclops 2. Legion 3. Kitty Pride (even more if she gets played turn 1) 4. Iron Lad 5. Hazmat Nimrod and the two Goblins are close too.
Quick Legion story, I was playing conquest and on the first game I had Legion in my opening hand. The second or third round revealed Bar With No Name; at that point I was slightly up but I just stopped playing cards. He snapped round four, then I snapped back round five, he played his combos and round six I dropped Legion on Bar and won all three locations by virtue of having almost no power. My opponent conceded and I don't blame him; I know I would be royally pissed if I lost 8 cubes that way too.
Developers clearly said, varaints would not repeat then launch spotlight patch too soon and repeat Knull and HE and the players who already had Max Grecke variant would gamble for a 700 gold variant that you can get from collector reserve instead. Could not add Howard, Stegron other s4-5 cards but HE whose variant is not prepped yet.
21:03 man Cozy nailed it with the solution but no plan. I watched a video of Sakurai talking about how when the Wii was launching, Nintendo announced a new Smash game. And he was like, that's interesting. Wonder who is doing it this time. And then at a game thing Nintendo came to him and was like, look man. We've announced Smash and we really need you to do it because it won't be the same without you. That had announced Smash before any of the pieces are in play in hopes Sakurai would feel obligated to the players to be a part of it. I'm not saying that's what Second Dinner meant to to, but they kind of did. Writing checks they ultimately can't cash. And they do that a little too often. I had a big fit about Lockjaw in the discord because I don't feel the pc launch was anywhere good enough (I don't personally like it) to still have the Lockjaw bugs in the game or no vfx on cards or the fact that I can't do the same card sorting options on mobile when the game is mobile first. I digress though. I love Second Dinner but I'm equally frustrated with some things is what I'm saying.
The problem with Loki is that his ability is replace cards with opponents cards this it hard to put a tech card cause it can be used against you. Why will I put Alioth in my deck, they can use it with just 5 mana. Loki Ability should be replaced cards with Random Cards instead. it will be a fun card even for a mirror match. No more copying of another Loki and Collector from Opponent decks. Collector power will not be that big.
I hate Daredevil, Sandman, Wong, Negative, and Venom. Negative turn 4 is just an auto retreat, DD screws up my confidence, Venom is so hard to beat when played well, and Wong and Sandman are super disruptive.
High Evo repeat is okay. Every account should have High Evo. That is gonna make it fair and no one is gonna get hate for playing High Evo. But enough with the Knull. They MUST replace Knull for that week.
I bought Loki and he got me to infinite the fastest I've I ever been... took a DAY and a half! Started at 73. Normally takes at least 1 1/2 or 2 ish weeks for me to hit infinite Normally. Loki was so good!
Kitty, Collector, Galactus, Rock Slide, and Professor X are my most hated, for most of the reasons in this video but also Collector is just busted and Galactus and Prof X are sometimes just lucky after a Wave. I hate Death too, no thoughts needed for her just destroy stuff that often has benefits for being destroyed -.-
The infinite leaderboard has to be janky I won a 2 games last night and lost 300 ranks each time. I knew it never was for me but if I'm winning at rank ~25000 and still dropping ranks I'll pass.
SD just outright lying about spotlight variants is a very bad look for me. The overwhelming lack of transparency and honest communication is disappointing.
It's already SO hard for people to reach spotlights in time if they have busier lives.. And some of us are determined to get that Kitty Pride variant.. You know the one.
When the system was released they said there would be really cool exclusive variants for them, and now we're already getting repeats and knull for the 100th time, where some cards haven't even been featured yet. Super disappointing all around.
Ive been playing the battle mode a lot more because ladder just seems impossible to me. I do great up til the high 70s. Then it's all losses or retreats. Happened the past few seasons. I dont get it.
for me it was breeze until infinity, i started playinf 7 days ago. but the moment i hit infinity opponents are all like 2k levels above me. i simply sont have the cards ane idk what to do. conquests i need to wait 3 4 minutes for game and ladder is impossible... not fun at all ngl
As it stands now, Loki is the best (and only) way to play random cards. Until SNAP comes with a random card mode, this is it. And it makes every game fun

I just think they don't have enough variants to go around. That's why we are seeing Dan hipp and other 700 value style cards in spotlights now

I think they need to create a new keyword called Static (or something similar) for cards that don't 100% fit ongoing like collector. That way, they can design new ways to deal with these cards.
Something I always wondered why is morbious ongoing and collector us not? Their abilities are similar enough that I am not sure why one is ongoing and the other isn't.
You’d think making something ongoing would end up being a nerf, but there’s ways to buff ongoing cards (onslaught, etc) that may even make something like collector even better. I like the idea of a “new” category tho!

All loki counters are shattered if loki player adds a cosmo in his deck and plays it on the collectors lane
Jane Jaw is another good counter. There is no scenario where that's great for Collector. Same with High Evo in there specifically. And it's better against Shuri lists than some of the other things. Also, why don't more people run Cloak in Lockjaw lists. Just throwing that out there.
Loki should be a 3-3 even if morbius is a direct counter to him that is a single series 5 card that has not even been released yet. You compare them to something like colson a 3-4 and the two cards feel leagues apart in what they're capable of
Need to remove the cost reduction. Loki is practically 3 cards in one (Sera, Leader, Modok) while costing less than all 3 of them. Playing him with Quinjet and/or Zabu is nearly unbeatable in most scenarios. He's way OP.
I think Rockslide got a similar boost when Darkhawk dropped, he was virtually unplayed, at least korg occasionally saw play in bounce

My classic discard deck is working great against most Loki decks tbh
5 power is a lot for the effect of Alioth. My most hated card this season is Leech. It's juste too difficult too play against in conquest mode
Still don't understand why they think Leech is a fair card. He should, at most, wipe the abilities from just 3 cards in hand, that way you still have a chance, even if it's low. Wiping out all 4-7 cards in one shot is ridiculous.
I wish it only removed the abilities for turn 6, so Magik could mitigate the effect by letting your cards be usable again in turn 7

@@T-800skynett Sure did. Was no worse feeling than watching someone put Wasp into Lockjaw on turn 3 and seeing Leech come out, or putting Leech into Lockjaw on turn 5 and seeing Infonaut pop out. It's was indeed a menace.
Played an opponent with Snowguard as well and we turned a TVA (4 turn) game to a 6 turn game
That might have been me man, I did the hawk in hopes of ending the game on turn 5 instead but it just kept going 😂

I do not like cards that destroy the cards I'm playing. I get why Shang Chi and Killmonger need to be in the game, but Galaltus and Alioth are just going to be toxic.
Galactus is one of the easiest cards to counter

This past week was the THIRD week in a row it took me all 4 spotlights to get the new card (I didn't have Jeff). I saved up since the beginning and just like that, I'm back to 1-2 a week. This system blows.
Surprised they didn’t talk about a destroy x-23 and alioth with cards like Deadpool knull, arnim etc

My most hated cards tend to be ones I feel "cheat" games by getting a certain lane for free or otherwise cheesing off-meta decks that can't hand-dump. Top 5 being:
1: Valkyrie
2: Prof. X (especially with Daredevil)
3: Juggernaut
4: Shuri
5: Loki for its sheer stat/energy efficiency with no drawbacks.
My five most hated cards:
5. Stegron - I’m just not usually expecting it, and it usually smacks them into the worst location or to a location that buffs their Kraven
4. Cable - you thief that was mine, at least whenever he took the bottom card it was Chavez half of the time
3. Spider-Ham - not nearly as bad as before but he hits my combo pieces pretty consistently
2. Nebula - I don’t usually pack Killmonger, and sometimes I can’t continue to play cards into that location so I have to just calculate her being a 1/9 or a 1/7.
1. Leech - you nailed it, it’s just so frustrating
Last month I got wicked far with leech in my Evo deck. Lots of people did. This month, leech in my Surfer. I can't stand Sera Surfer. I think Surfer is fine without her. But leech turn 5, so many retreats. It destroys so many of the big plays. Taskmaster, venom/Carnage, Knull and death and if they Loki... Okay. You've got a few 3 cost cards but you're already 4 or 5 turns in and my board is better set up. Granted they do have discounted 3 drops but if they Loki before turn 5, I just leech and continue on my way.
Ha!!! Cozy and I called the Alioth Professor X. Been waiting forever for a true destroy lockdown control deck like in MtG. This may push that concept to fruition. Also one thing you guys didn't mention.....Alioth is another Shang Chi counter being able to kill Shang before he can flip. So yeah play big early, then counter their counter with Alioth since you will have priority playing big early. Alioth kills face down cards.....hence their Shang is history u win. Like Armor or Professor X....Alioth is the answer to Shang.

2. Legion
3. Kitty Pride (even more if she gets played turn 1)

Quick Legion story, I was playing conquest and on the first game I had Legion in my opening hand. The second or third round revealed Bar With No Name; at that point I was slightly up but I just stopped playing cards. He snapped round four, then I snapped back round five, he played his combos and round six I dropped Legion on Bar and won all three locations by virtue of having almost no power. My opponent conceded and I don't blame him; I know I would be royally pissed if I lost 8 cubes that way too.

Developers clearly said, varaints would not repeat then launch spotlight patch too soon and repeat Knull and HE and the players who already had Max Grecke variant would gamble for a 700 gold variant that you can get from collector reserve instead. Could not add Howard, Stegron other s4-5 cards but HE whose variant is not prepped yet.
21:03 man Cozy nailed it with the solution but no plan. I watched a video of Sakurai talking about how when the Wii was launching, Nintendo announced a new Smash game. And he was like, that's interesting. Wonder who is doing it this time. And then at a game thing Nintendo came to him and was like, look man. We've announced Smash and we really need you to do it because it won't be the same without you. That had announced Smash before any of the pieces are in play in hopes Sakurai would feel obligated to the players to be a part of it.
I'm not saying that's what Second Dinner meant to to, but they kind of did. Writing checks they ultimately can't cash. And they do that a little too often. I had a big fit about Lockjaw in the discord because I don't feel the pc launch was anywhere good enough (I don't personally like it) to still have the Lockjaw bugs in the game or no vfx on cards or the fact that I can't do the same card sorting options on mobile when the game is mobile first. I digress though. I love Second Dinner but I'm equally frustrated with some things is what I'm saying.
The problem with Loki is that his ability is replace cards with opponents cards this it hard to put a tech card cause it can be used against you. Why will I put Alioth in my deck, they can use it with just 5 mana. Loki Ability should be replaced cards with Random Cards instead. it will be a fun card even for a mirror match. No more copying of another Loki and Collector from Opponent decks. Collector power will not be that big.
I hate Daredevil, Sandman, Wong, Negative, and Venom. Negative turn 4 is just an auto retreat, DD screws up my confidence, Venom is so hard to beat when played well, and Wong and Sandman are super disruptive.
High Evo repeat is okay. Every account should have High Evo. That is gonna make it fair and no one is gonna get hate for playing High Evo.
But enough with the Knull. They MUST replace Knull for that week.
I bought Loki and he got me to infinite the fastest I've I ever been... took a DAY and a half! Started at 73. Normally takes at least 1 1/2 or 2 ish weeks for me to hit infinite Normally. Loki was so good!
Kitty, Collector, Galactus, Rock Slide, and Professor X are my most hated, for most of the reasons in this video but also Collector is just busted and Galactus and Prof X are sometimes just lucky after a Wave. I hate Death too, no thoughts needed for her just destroy stuff that often has benefits for being destroyed -.-
The infinite leaderboard has to be janky I won a 2 games last night and lost 300 ranks each time. I knew it never was for me but if I'm winning at rank ~25000 and still dropping ranks I'll pass.
SD just outright lying about spotlight variants is a very bad look for me. The overwhelming lack of transparency and honest communication is disappointing.
It's already SO hard for people to reach spotlights in time if they have busier lives..
And some of us are determined to get that Kitty Pride variant.. You know the one.

When the system was released they said there would be really cool exclusive variants for them, and now we're already getting repeats and knull for the 100th time, where some cards haven't even been featured yet. Super disappointing all around.
Ive been playing the battle mode a lot more because ladder just seems impossible to me. I do great up til the high 70s. Then it's all losses or retreats. Happened the past few seasons. I dont get it.
for me it was breeze until infinity, i started playinf 7 days ago.
but the moment i hit infinity opponents are all like 2k levels above me. i simply sont have the cards ane idk what to do. conquests i need to wait 3 4 minutes for game and ladder is impossible...

As it stands now, Loki is the best (and only) way to play random cards. Until SNAP comes with a random card mode, this is it. And it makes every game fun
