The influence of the Nils/Bianca-Stile on the whole community is obvious.

Ok I just looked at results and the people that actually danced were all at the bottom and the people that obv choreographed their entire phrases all won ... one of winners did one, ONE swingout the entire time and rest was Charleston/jazz routines and aerials ... so much for social dancing.

Amanda Soderlund thanks for acknowledging, I think that this why there is an All Star vs an Invitational. Judges/event organizers like Sylvia Sykes aren’t stupid. She sees people that can actually dance vs people that can just put on show, and that’s why they hand pick people for Invitationals versus relying on qualifiers. Just because someone qualifies for something doesn’t mean they are cream of the crop. Who were they competing against in their previous “qualifying” comp - also what what did the judges value in those comps? I’m not gonna name names but there comps that treat this dance like ballroom dance where it doesn’t matter what the song is, a string of cheesy tricks is what wins them over, and musicality is, what is musicality? 😂. I think ILHC is one of the few comps that see this trend of canned pageantry is a thing so they let it be, but they know where the real talent is in, and that’s dancers they choose to be in the Invitationals.

@@pingpong4811 Ok, I may be a fool for, god forbid, wanting to see a Strictly be what it was designed for - "spontaneity, creativity and connection to the music," but at least I can spell. Don't come for me.

@@pingpong4811 I didn't make those words up. They're literally in the Strictly guidelines. If I've shown anything it's that I value raw talent and authenticity. If mini showcases ping your pong, by all means, go with what everyone else is doing. Popular opinion is always right, right?
