      Would it matter?

I wouldn’t have used awful, as there is nothing negative about most of them being Asians. Would it matter? Well it depends. The thing is some of them may be of Asian descent but actually living in USA or elsewhere. But provided most of them were actually living in Asia, that could matter because it could mean something. Like the scene there is larger, or lindy hop is taught better there, or they are simply more into it and more hardworking and expressive... or other infinite possibilities. But as far as I can see, the Korean scene is reaching levels not scene elsewhere

@@Brunitobrunon I'd say that because the event is called "INTERNATIONAL Lindy Hop Championship" it kinda destroys the internationality when 80% of the participants is korean because then you could nearly call it KLHC. So in my opinion it would be reaaaaaaaally cool if they would actually invite few participants from many different countries with Lindy scenes so that one could see how much the styles may differ depending on the country.
Russian lindy hoppers have a unique style for example, compared to the Americans or the French people and Italians also give their different flavor!
To me, the Korean dancers in this video have shown many similarities: They tend to keep the flow of movement by dancing from one move to another with steady footwork and few changes in rhythm or bounce - PLUS their connection and lead/follow looks really different comparing it to the non-korean participants :) Just my thoughts

Okay I've watched it once again and found ANOTHER thing that caught my eye on how the Koreans dance Lindy Hop. To me it seemed like 1. They sometimes seemed to be in a rush and 2. they dedicated their dance towards their Partner which seems more like "We care a lot for each other and our harmony as a couple" while Sean & Hannah give off a vibe like "Yeah! We care for each other but more importantly - we just DANCE". I don't know if anything that I've written makes any sense but yeah. Had to share my view ^^

@@sn4pi yeah that would be cool.
i would disagree on the part that they dance towards their partner. To me what they differ from the rest is the work behind their sets, they seem to perform sets that are more prepared . Im not talking entirely based on this competition but based on what ive seen (bc most of the competitors in this comp actually had prepared sets). They appear to be more in control but a bit less organic (maybe...). To me Andy is the exception, he indeed has fairly prepared sets (they even do solo bits) but seem so organic and natural.
