The couples in this lindy hop vid are so much more creative than in most others I've seen. I really like seeing totally new or differently implemented moves and styles - keeps it a lot of fun. That is in contrast to what I see in most other lindy vids. So tired of seeing the same old stuff, like for some reason the crowd in every one of these automatically cheers when couples do the swivel-and-extend-out ( @ 7:14 ) and the behind-the-back-lead-charleston ( @ 2:59 ). So many different styles and moves in this one though! I really like the dynamics around 3:07
Just throwing it out there - I know the tempo was faster, but the Advanced div totally blew these guys out of the water. So much more believable and joyful.
+Patricio Espinoza (Slycton) "Strictly Lindy" refers to regular couples competing, whereas in "Jack & Jill" competitions leaders & followers are randomly assigned to each other. "All Star" describes the level of the competing dancers. At ILHC the levels (in decreasing order) are: Invitational - All Star - Advanced - Open. In order to compete in the "All Stars" division, you need to have placed well in other major competitions.

I like the fact that the 3 gents to the right (during the last all skate), Felix, Jacob and Nicolas, are the only ones doing chassés during the swing-outs and therefore bringing it to another level of difficulty. It's too easy doing charleston IMO...
