    Yum! Always appreciate you letting us know what’s in the food and if there’s guts. :)
    Have you tried warung nasi tekor on the bypass yet?

      @SanurDiaries  6 месяцев назад +2

      Yes I have, but that was last year before I started filming the stuff I’ve been eating 😅
      Not sure if you’ve tried it, but I really enjoyed it. I probably should go back and make a video of it.
      I’m also trying to be mindful that everyone has a different tolerance level of how “local” they want to go. Some are wanting even more “local” and some are wanting something less “local”.

      @@SanurDiaries yes i went there last year. We loved it. The food was delicious. I know there’s plenty of people who would be too scared to eat there. My 9yo daughter didn’t like the food and they were so gracious and made her a plate of grilled chicken and rice and didn’t charge extra. My 12yo suffered through the spice and ended up loving it.

      @bethaniej yeah that’s a great story and good example of how different people are comfortable with different things.

    Great work Adam - always wanted to go into 1 of these places but never really knew what i was going to do once inside. Quick question - as a bit of a rule whenever i've travelled i've never really bought fried food on the side of a road especially if its been in the open air or those plastic see through boxes on the back of a scooter / Bike UNLESS it was cooked fresh in front of me. What are your thoughts about this in Bali especially all along the beach walk of Sanur. Cheers Mike D

      This Adam. How did this compare to Sari Bundo? Also, is the food cold or a bit lukewarm?

      I guess there’s facts and then there’s my opinion/what I do. The facts are that food hygiene in Bali is generally poor, even in cafes and restaurants.
      But because food hygiene is poor across the board, I eat at most places whether the food safety issues are visible or not. I’m particularly not worried about cold fried food.
      When it comes to this sort of choose for yourself food, it wouldn’t pass food safety standards in Thailand, Singapore, Australia or Europe.
      But somehow, it’s this sort of food I’m least likely to get sick from. I think it’s important to have a decent turnover so that you know fresh stuff is being made regularly.
      So I guess what I’m saying in a round about way is that you’re probably just as likely to get food poisoning from a fancy cafe cooking stuff fresh as you are from one of these places.
      The other thing is that some people have sensitive stomachs and get sick easily and others don’t.
      I just go for it anyway.

      I have been to Sari Bundo, but it’s a popular one from what I know. I went to this one because an Indonesian friend told me the owners are from Padang while some other places aren’t.
      The food is room temperature and there is no indication of when it was cooked. I’d say it would be cooked each morning. Still tastes good though!
