Fun fact: in Msia the rice cake is called Ketupat. While
Lontong is a dish with Ketupat in it and a combination of curry and satay gravy, mostly available in the southern region and today, some parts of KL due to migration. The durian sticky snack is called dodol, at least in Msia and u can Google the snack.

That rice cake is lontong in Indonesia. It is ketupat in Malaysia. The durian flavoured dessert is durian flavoured Dodol, ingredients of which are coconut milk, brown sugar, flour and durian. Plain Dodol without durian is equally tasty. The restaurant seems popular and busy. The Bika Ambon cake as well as Jus Buah Merkisa (Passion fruit concentrate) are very popular products that Malaysian tourists buy to bring back. A transverse section of the Bika Ambon appears like a honey comb.

You can also make an ice cream float with Coca-Cola and ice cream. Our was made with plain ice cream. That was about 45 years ago. I think you should try one.

Doug: I was poisoned in Medoug! "Plagiarising" Icky Boots' thumbprint style PD? Naughty boy😮

I didn't suffer any ill effects from this meal. Though if you are sensitive to spicy food, this might be one to avoid. It is one of the more spicy meals I've had here.
I never thought of this thumbnail stye as being similar to Itchy Boots, but I guess it is. I used to use bright yellow lettering. I liked the yellow, even though I was often told it was garish and unpleasant. The Itchy Boots style is more sophisticated, though. She has a technique figured out where the text is behind the photo elements. I don't know how to do that. I assume it is a simple procedure if you use the right program. I just plop the text on top.

Cc we never called it ice cream soda. Root beer or coke float. If it was 7up with ice cream, we called it a phosphate.

I think I grew up more familiar with the term ice cream float as well. Though I think I heard ice cream soda as well. But it wasn't a common treat in my life. I saw it more in movies than in real life. The word phosphate for this is new to me. I wonder how many different regional names there are for this treat around the world.
