We are planning to head up in about 2 weeks in the camper. By Roks theory, we are closer to 40 (34 & 35) That camp spot looks great (next to sunart) though! Just ordered life jacket for pup to allow her to follow us into the water as we swim.
Well in my head if you are 34 and 35 you are still closer to 30 😂😂👍👍👍 let us know when you are over, we could meet up for a wee bonfire (midges are not invited) 😁
Been going to Ardnamurchan on holidays for the last 35 years and absolutely love it up there. We used to stay in one of the houses on Sanna Bay and it was brilliant if there was a storm or it was misty as the now redundant foghorn would let out its haunting noise. I'm coming up to stay in Kilchoan with the family in mid July actually. How are the midges this year dare I ask?! Have you seen otters yet? P.S. If Roksana is looking for a summer job, the Lighthouse or the Kilchoan Hotel are worth a try👍
Hi Iain! Good question on the midges... they were terrible but they seem to calm down quite a bit. Let's hope it lasts! 😅 I can see why you've been coming back up here for 35 years, we fell in love with this place. We've seen otters several times in Loch Sunart, pine martens, badgers, deer, dolphins, eagles and apparently there were orcas swimming in Sanna Bay last Thursday. We just missed them 😥 And Roksana (me) is sorted with work now, but thanks for the recommendations! If you see our van somewhere around in July, feel free to say hi 😃👋
Glad you managed to find a job👍 Sometimes not easy to find work up there. Hopefully the midges are still in low numbers when we come up there 🤞 And hopefully the local wildlife is equally as cooperative as it has been for you guys 😁 We may indeed knock your door.
