Tris and Dave are the most amazing couple you will ever meet. And beautiful Dior… a real life Moana, scaling trees in bare feet with a machete in her mouth! This albeit wonderful video doesn’t scratch the surface of what Dave has built there. Truly remarkable family not just talking about “eco” and conservation but demonstrating that you can go all-out like they have and still live with happiness, variety, vitality and style. Go there if you have the chance. Aside from The Barn, being guided by them swimming with Tonga’s whales is their thing… Tris and Dior are actually sea mammals; to witness them in the water with the wildlife around them is breathtaking :) And by the way, if all that weren’t enough, Dave is an ex champion windsurfer and exceptional waterman!

Well when you live on a remote island, you work with what you've got to make ends meet. And they are living a healthy lifestyle so good for them. Love that they have guava, guava is a staple of the Latino world. I use guava to make pastelitos (Cuban pastries) with cheese And yes, you can eat turmeric leaves. Used a lot in Thai, Indian, and Malay cuisine

Interesting family and stunning paradise. I always admire and am in awe of people that have the courage and tenacity to choose a different path than what is considered conventional and make it work. I'm curious about how they deal with medical issues for themselves and their animals. Doctor? Vet? It will also be interesting to see what path the daughter will choose as she gets older. As a young person she may get to a point where she wants to explore a bit. She'll certainly be very self-sufficient no matter where she goes or chooses to do.

We've been wide open here in Florida for many months. Back to normalcy occurred several weeks ago when the mask mandate was lifted. I went to an inside venue with thousands of people yesterday and few wore masks. I've been vaccinated since February. With the wide availability of vaccines in the US if a person is not vaccinated its on them Lock downs don't work and thank God our governor started to understand this in the fall. Lock downs only delay the spread but as you are experiencing, the virus will explode again unless the population either is exposed and recovers or vaccinated.

People under 40 here are just able to book their FIRST shot. I am not sure if there are many that are fully vaccinated as of yet. As for your 'inside venue with thousands of people' where 'few wore masks' comment...Since I hear of great hesitancy to vaccinations in certain regions, it makes me wonder how many of those attendees were also vaccinated? If not- get ready for Round 4.

I dont know where you are getting your US news but the news you are getting about round 2 and 3 is false. The super bowl was here in florida and the "next round" they predicted never materialized. As i said in my first message post its been demonstrated that lock downs only delay a surge unless the population either has immunity from being exposed and recovered or vaccinated. Also .. its foolish to prioritize the young. The elderly should be vaccinated first along with those with immune deficiencies. That is what was done here and many elderly were protected. The age bracket then was lowered as the older brackets were vaccinated. Why any government would start vaccinating the young and healthy first is beyond common sense.

We've been wide open here in Florida for many months. Back to normalcy occurred several weeks ago when the mask mandate was lifted. I went to an inside venue with thousands of people yesterday and few wore masks. I've been vaccinated since February. With the wide availability of vaccines in the US if a person is not vaccinated its on them
Lock downs don't work and thank God our governor started to understand this in the fall. Lock downs only delay the spread but as you are experiencing, the virus will explode again unless the population either is exposed and recovers or vaccinated.

@@TheFiscallySound You fail to understand that in Canada the availability of vaccines isn't as good as it is in the US. But since you are in Florida, I can understand why you made that assumption. People under 40 here are just able to book their FIRST shot. I am not sure if there are many that are fully vaccinated as of yet.
As for your 'inside venue with thousands of people' where 'few wore masks' comment...Since I hear of great hesitancy to vaccinations in certain regions, it makes me wonder how many of those attendees were also vaccinated? If not- get ready for Round 4.
@@marceld6061 round 4? Positives had gone consistently down since peaking after the first round here in the US. I dont know where you are getting your US news but the news you are getting about round 2 and 3 is false. The super bowl was here in florida and the "next round" they predicted never materialized. As i said in my first message post its been demonstrated that lock downs only delay a surge unless the population either has immunity from being exposed and recovered or vaccinated.
Also .. its foolish to prioritize the young. The elderly should be vaccinated first along with those with immune deficiencies. That is what was done here and many elderly were protected. The age bracket then was lowered as the older brackets were vaccinated. Why any government would start vaccinating the young and healthy first is beyond common sense.
I could just cry. What an amazing way to live. Truly gave me a little glimpse of HEAVEN.

Can’t imagine being unplugged! But with so much beauty around I sure wouldn’t mind trying! All of that glorious surroundings and the horses were delightful. They looked like overgrown puppies enjoying a back scratch in the sand! Stunning!
