- This video shows the Galacta Knight battle in the True Arena in Kirby's Return to Dreamland Deluxe. Galacta Knight was infamously a secret boss in the original game, taking round 13 in the true arena. In this game he's round 19, as the Magolor Epilogue bosses are added.
This is a 2023 HD remake of Kirby's Aventure Wii, released in 2011.

i love how his energy shower sword beams keep on gaining more swords by every game he appears in (original rtdl had 12, robobot had 20, skc had 25, and this game is 30)
The power grows
Watch him have 50 in the next game he appears (I doubt it tho since Morpho exists)
At some point the future games will crash because the inmense amount of projectiles

Well, Galacta knight literally exists outside of the time stream. I guess it’s possible he does remember every battle from every timeline.

For those confused about Galacta Knight's canonicity (is that even a word?):
Galacta Knight's existence IS canon, as he is one of the four heroes of yore who sealed away the Jamba Heart in ancient times before he was sealed away himself. However, almost all of his appearances in the games, including this one, are non-canon "what-if" scenarios as described by Shinya Kumazaki. Galacta Knight's ONLY canon appearance is in Super Kirby Clash. As we now know thanks to Magolor Epilogue, both Kirby Clash games are canon, they just take place in an alternate universe, meaning that Galacta Knight's appearance as the final boss is canon. Although, I'm not exactly sure if it's the same Galacta Knight, or an alternate universe-version of him...

I heard it suggested that the butterfly from guest star who absorbed Galacta Knight travelled through dimensions to get to Forgotten Land, which is how Morpho Knight appeared in that game. That would mean Guest Star (and likely all the other games’ what if modes) are canon alternate universes. THERE’S A KIRBY MULTIVERSE.
While it can be assumed, I personally doubt that it's the same given that there's no ACTUAL legitimate possible evidence that Canon Galacta Knight was sent to the Kirby Clash Universe.
Fun fact: Similar to Morpho knight in star Allies if you get to Galacta knight in the true arena with Waddle dee, King dedede or meta knight the music changes. Most notably with Meta knight and king dedede the second phase for Galacta knight plays his theme from planet robobot
I discovered this today while doing a true arena run with meta knight! I was so surprised!! The first phase theme is the kirby fighters 2 theme from kirby fighters
Bandee is actually the same as Kirby. The second set of songs is just for Dedede and Meta Knight.
They changed Revolution Sword (the attack at 1:25) so that it sets the fire eruption from Super Kirby Clash.

I missed our angelic destroyer.😍 It’s a bit of a shame though the size of his wings are back to normal and not as big as his Super Kirby Clash design anymore. I thought he looked amazing there!
Maybe there’s a difference between the alternate dimension of the strength of Galacta knight and regular dimension but it’s up to HAL Laboratory.
I like how he occasionally _walk_ I found it funny, since he seem to reuse MK's animation

What i like about galacta knight (and similar fights) is unlike most boss battles, he doesnt really follow a pattern of attacks, instead he will try and get the upper hand on you by using attacks better suited to the situation.
For example, when you go in for an attack, he will often block your strike, and counter, he might strike as you approach, in some cases he deliberately goes to the opposite side of the arena as you to use one of his ranged attacks to both get the best out of them, and making him as least open to attack as possible. Finally, his more devastating attacks involve him moving away from the platform, moving to the centre, or moving away from you. Moreover, after he performs one of his more powerful attacks, he takes the opportunity to try and get the jump on you and attack since more often than not, you would be pre occupied trying to avoid his previous attack.
It really makes these kind of fights more difficult, and more fun because it makes the boss more unpredictable.

But the butterfly was always there we just dont know when he showed up
Morpho Knight is not Galacta Knight’s true form. They’re two separate entities, otherwise Morpho wouldn’t have gained his knight form from Fecto

At the end of Magolors epilogue the credits show him ending up in the Super kirby clash dimension as the shopkeeper. Galacta knight appears under the alias Aeon Hero

It's still intriguing to me that this was the only truly *new* battle The True Arena had to offer in the original game. Even Magolor Soul was directly carried over from his battle in Extra Mode.
Magolor Soul does have an alternate second phase that's True Arena exclusive.
Edit: Somehow I didn't see the "in the original game" part. My bad.
At the time of the OG's release I think super star ultra was the only other game with a true arena and the only surprise boss there was Marx Soul, so it wasn't a huge surprise imo
That’s probably why they added in galactic knight. So the true arena could have some exclusive content.

@@theenderkirby Well cause he's just a secret boss and doesn't have anything to do with the story (and his fight is non canon to the main timeline anyway). Let's just say Kirby randomly found hil in Another Dimension, and Galacta Knight manage to destroy the crystal where he is sealed after seeing Kirby yo challenge him maybe?

@@magolord2820 yeah to an extend while I do wish for before the events of the kirby series to add more light on galacta or heck even meta knight's story I think he still really great character though when I was young I thought he was like MK's brother ;^^

Galactic Knight was always a canon character. Lorewise. Just that most of his fights happened in what if scenarios, another dimension, being ripped out of time, or free of his crystal stasis. After all Morpho had to absorb him to later appear in Forgotten Land.

@@susiehaltmann3342 Actually Galactic Knight was never evil just upset for being sealed off for a thousand years due to his power despite saving the galaxy by sealing Void Termina. Then he honestly just wants to be left alone and not being called to fight constantly. This is literally stated why he acts thus way. Morpho is attracted to the STRONGEST of souls. With Galactic Knight nearby and being suck of everyone's nonsense, Morpho simply took advantage and absorbed his essence to power up into his own form. This is also why Morpho approached both Fecto Soul and of course Kirby (& co.).

@@susiehaltmann3342 Probably, since him absorbing Galacta in Star Allies isn't technically canon since Guest Star isn't canon. So it's safe to assume the form he has in forgotten land is just his default form he takes whenever absorbing a soul.

Before playing this game, I was curious if he was either going to turn into Morpho Knight or the Light or Dark version of Aeon Hero.
Sadly, they forgot to make him float again.😅 In Galacta’s first appearance as a boss, he actually never touches the ground! He hovers. They forgot it in the original RTDL but in later games, they added in that detail.

I was with Spark abusing by shaking the controller to charge while my little brother was with no Ability, Defeating him was a breeze

Im glad this absolute master of disaster is back but i still question why they called him Aeon Hero in super kirby clash
Even had more powerful forms (Light/Dark) which we have never seen. Amd his story was HELLA fleshed out. Nontheless. Glad to see he is back and god the theme is a banger

My favorite part about this isn't anything to do with his boss battle, but it's the fact they slightly changed the official name of his song. It went from, "The Greatest Warrior in the Galaxy" to "The Greatest Warrior in the Galaxy Ever". It just highlights how stupidly powerful Galacta Knight still is, even compared to literally every other character we've seen before. He's been sealed in a crystal, his powered probably drained, yet he's still considered the greatest warrior in the galaxy after so long. Frankly, if GK was there for the Master Crown fight, it probably would've ended before it started lol. And this isn't even his strongest form!

@@Nintentoni Well his strongest form would be his light form, as proven by the Heart Needles and especially by the protagonist of the whole series, Kirby, Light tends to always beat dark in the end. I think we just see him summoning the heart spears in his dark form, which is a lot more impressive than if he were to summon them in his light form, but his light form is just overall stronger. Both forms are probably still stronger than like, every character except for maybe plot armor lol.

Galacta Knight moves a lot like Meta knight! But I guess that's to be expected when everyone are shaped like little orbs lol
Fun fact: (yes I'm a year late) Nintendo/HAL just reused Meta Knight for this Galacta Knight fight! Hence why his movements are so similar, if anything..identical. It is unfortunate in my opinion, Galacta Knight has lost a lot of his personality over the years. Only Super Kirby Clash gives him his personality back

Morpho Knight got my hopes down, it appearing 2 games over, but NOW... Even though it's a throwback reboot, they should really consider having Galacta Knight appear more. And I'm still waiting for a day where we play as him.

i remember screaming high and low that HAL wouldn’t put in galacta due to him being ya know. *dead* but im glad they put him in anyways because he loves breaking the canon of the franchise
He died in MetaNightmare ultra he also died in all Guest Star stories ???? Star Allies Go! except maybe in the story of the three mage sisters, once in Super Kirby Clash in his Light form, and he comes back in the same game alive and well.
Death doesn't seem like a big deal to him, whatever the reason.
But indeed, it seems that for him it doesn't matter whether a universe respects or not the canon.

The only thing I’m disappointed in this remake is that this fight is literally the same as last time and not like the Planet Robobot fight
The planet Robobot fight is almost exactly the same as this one outside of the new laser he got that was super slow and did almost no damage. Though I totally agree they should have changed this fight as it could have been way better.

@@NickMario1 In robobot, Galacta Knight got a new attack where he would rip a hole In space time and fire a massive pink laser. The issue is the startup takes ages and even if you got hit, it did chip damage

It can only be accessed in the True Arena, just before the two forms of Magolor in the original, or the final boss of Magolor Epilogue and the last form of Magolor in the remake.

So, is this guy actually canon or not. I'm so confused.
He is canon for the lore, but the battles we have with him aren't canon, well, not from kirby's perspective, for the kirby we play in the main stories this battles never happend, but they happend for galacta, as if each battle he fights took place in an alternative timeline, thus why he is called "temporal warrior", and then he let's himself be absorbed by morpho knight, the first and second battle of morpho in star allies are only canon for morpho and galacta, but the second appearance in kirby and the forgotten land are canon for morpho and the kirby we know, being the first 100% canon fight with him, and in some sort of way, also galacta's.
His existence is canon, the fights with him aren't.
In next game Kirby. please don’t add galacta knight coming again please Nintendo ! I’m feel bored of him!
It's a remake, it's normal that it doesn't add anything concrete.
